From the 🇬🇧, thank you so much for doing what you do. You have helped me to make sense of what can feel like a minefield of Information by explaining in a relatable way. So grateful for you and can't wait to read your book! ❤
I’m so grateful for all of your helpful videos. They’re so educational and I feel so empowered. I’ve been having difficulties ttc, and I recently went to a new GP to try to get help. I’ve never been more frustrated and insulted. She told me to have sex twice a week, have the man on top, and don’t move for 5 HOURS after sex. No peeing, no cleaning up. No moving. I told her I was going to find a better doctor, and if I took her advice the only reason I’d be back, would be for antibiotics for a UTI 🙄. That was the worst misinformation I’ve ever been given. I found a different GP that’s sending me for an ultrasound and blood work
Processed food manufacturers are poisoning us. We’re consuming a lot of toxins like microplastics without realizing it. Women are now older during their first pregnancy.
Working in a nursing home with seniors, I’ve met plenty of women that were never able to have children. It’s not just a recent thing. The difference is that now it’s more common for women to go to doctors and clinics to get help conceiving, and to find out why they’re having trouble
My doctor told me to not do it everyday because it lowers sperm quality, she told me to do it every other day. Is that true? Can you elaborate on 'saliva is the worst'? Because what if we have oral sex before intercourse ? Does it lower the chances of getting pregnant?
Studies were done on infertile couples and high concentrations of saliva affected sperm motility, but this didn't happen with low concentrations of saliva. If there is male factor infertility, meaning already suboptimal sperm parameters, saliva could have a negative effect. In cases where sperm count is normal, saliva with oral sex is probably ok
Methyl folate is a readily absorbable form of folate. Some people can't absorb folic acid because of the process the body takes to activate it and for some folic acid will block folate absorption. Folate comes naturally in foods and taking methyl folate is the next best absorbable way to get folate other than food. Hope this helps
In a previous video on lubricants you said oil based was not good and to select a water based one. Is there new data that supports oil based over water?
Usually oil based lubricants are not compatible with barrier methods as it makes them less efficacy. Oil based lubricants can exacerbate bacterial vaginosis and water based mostly works for more women. Oil based lubricants are good for vaginal atrophy conditions though where barrier methods aren't needed. When using water based, you need different pH lubricants based on outcome. Sperm friendly match the alkalinity of the sperm, but this can upset the vaginal environment. Hope this helps
In the last year, I've had cycles ranging from 26-36 days. Last few months 32, 35, 27, 29. Do you think I might be infertile? I haven't started TTC yet but I'm getting married in a couple months and hope for a big family.
Hi lovely, a healthy menstrual cycle length for fertility ranges from 26-35 days. You are not infertile, you just need to learn to identify your fertile signs and know when you ovulate so when you do start trying to conceive you'll get intercourse timing right. Hope that helps
At some point I thought lubes like conceive plus would help even if I don’t have issues with needing it at all. So good to know that not messing around with it is not decreasing my chances ❤
Hi Natalie! Thank you so much for making this video. I was wondering if previous history of alcohol/marijuana use affects current egg and sperm quality? I’ve heard that the sperm timeline is 3 months, but for eggs, have I been damaging them via lifestyle choices before I considered trying to conceive? If I want the best quality eggs and sperm I was planning on following a strict health and wellness protocol beginning 3 months before trying to conceive. Is that useful or have I misunderstood?
You have a very regular menstrual cycle. Our cycles do vary in length. You will ovulate on different days in a 27 day cycle than you will in a 31 day cycle. When TTC its about learning your fertility signs so you can time intercourse in the days leading up to ovulation. Hope this helps
As Always, thank you for your extremely useful videos! About lubricants (sadly, I need to use them always to be able to have intercourse) , here you suggest as best ones the oil based ones, because of their alcaline pH. But in another video of yours, updated one year ago, you suggested to use water based ones because oil seemed to be an obstacle for sperm because of its thickness. What do I do? Also, I am Italian, so we don't have the same lubes you have in USA. Txs, love what you do!
For now am 45day cycle only this month i don't know i have been trying to conceive for now a week but i get negative test and i used to track with ovulation kit sometimes it tell that i"m ovulating we trying to have intercourse that time but after a month waiting for results here the period came to say hi to me😢
Are there any studies on Nicotine pouches/patches or gums on male fertility? So many men I know take Zyn pouches. It can't be good for sperm quality, but all I can find is cigarettes and fertility. Why are there no studies out there?
5:11 I started getting into studying fertility and ovulation tracking these past weeks because we want a second child soon..But I realized that a lot of advice out there is mostly for people that want to minimize the amount of sex. I've seen data charts where will people try absolutely everything except just having more sex LOL. They will do it at most twice a week usually a few times a month, ridiculous! Doing it daily will solve so many issues for these people but they really don't want to increase their frequency for some reason.
So where are the studies done with humans(not rats) on marijuana use? How does the occasional edible damage sperm dna? How does bob marly have kids when he smoked an ounce a day?
From the 🇬🇧, thank you so much for doing what you do. You have helped me to make sense of what can feel like a minefield of Information by explaining in a relatable way. So grateful for you and can't wait to read your book! ❤
Thank you for the kind words!

years ago women used to get pregnant without even trying. why is TTC becoming so difficult in recent years
Processed food manufacturers are poisoning us.
I think it has something to do with the increased need for a two-income household. There’s at least a correlation…
Does having thyroid issues decrease the chances of getting pregnant?
Are chromosomal abnormalities preventable? I'm 35 and have had 2 recent losses. I'm TERRIFIED to try again and relive this
I would love if you could do a video on uterine and/or bladder prolapse and how/if that affects TTC.
My doctor told me to not do it everyday because it lowers sperm quality, she told me to do it every other day. Is that true?
Can you elaborate on 'saliva is the worst'? Because what if we have oral sex before intercourse ? Does it lower the chances of getting pregnant?
Yes i definitely have questions about this!
That's a great question. Does frequent sex lower sperm quality?
Studies were done on infertile couples and high concentrations of saliva affected sperm motility, but this didn't happen with low concentrations of saliva. If there is male factor infertility, meaning already suboptimal sperm parameters, saliva could have a negative effect. In cases where sperm count is normal, saliva with oral sex is probably ok
Could taking too many vitamins hurt my TTC journey?
I'd love to hear more about methylated folate - the prenatal I'm taking at the moment has "activated methylated folate"

Thank you for sharing this. Is there anything specific to follow for the girls with PCOS? I have been using Inito and it shows the fertile days.
In the last year, I've had cycles ranging from 26-36 days. Last few months 32, 35, 27, 29. Do you think I might be infertile? I haven't started TTC yet but I'm getting married in a couple months and hope for a big family.

My period has been ranging from 27-31 days, is that what you consider irregular regular?? I'm TTC 😥
Don’t worry, totally normal :) In general menstrual cycle is between 26 to 36 days!

Hello Dr.Natalie Crawford so is a 26 day cycle normal and bleeding 3-4 days

@@mavsumahamitova6736 thank you 😊
Is the brand “pre-seed” a safe lubricant for conception?
We tried it, and we didn't like it, we found it was weird for sensation... it's safe though
Yeah it doesn’t work. Plus is kind of burns. But she does have a video talking about pre-seed.
Can you please suggest sny vitamin please 😢

You are right! Recent studies showed impaired motility with water based lubricant (one exception ph balanced like preseed)

So what about preseed? People swear by it
