I came off birth control in October 2022. It took me almost a year to get pregnant. I tracked everything, was taking a prenatal and my period came on time to the day every single month. We used preseed. Used OPKs. Did everything. After the first few months, I just knew something was wrong. I ended up going to a fertility specialist in June 2023, and I don't think I was ovulating. In August, I was put on Letrozole, and I conceived that month! It was a really hard time in my life. But now I have the best reward ever.
I have a 5 month old, my first baby at the age of 44. Naturally conceive after I took off IUD. Started taking prenatal vit and got pregnant 3 months later. However, prior to my pregnancy I do workout, I try to eat healthy. We’re shooting on baby number 2. Im 45 and 5 months postpartum. Wish me luck. 😊
As long as a woman is still ovulating she can still get pregnant!. Also egg health can be improved. I got pregnant at 42 and 43, unfortunately miscarried both. But all it takes is 1 egg. Hoping we all get out babies!❤❤❤
I had my babies at 23, 25 and 26 and conceived the first time each time. And people were shocked I was having kids "so young". But I remind people I am not young compared to how early people have been having kids for all of time. Especially pre 1970s. I knew I didn't have the money for IVF so I put it in my priority list first before career.
I’m 38 and am feeling discouraged. Could you do a video on advanced maternal age and ttc? I feel like many women are having babies later in life, and some support and suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
Have you been evaluated? What’s your AMH level? If you’ve been trying for over 1 year you should get evaluated because it will be harder as you get older and miscarriage rate goes up.
Don’t worry about it and just start trying . A lot of women over 35 fall pregnant first month of trying. Including myself currently 37 age 36 when conceived.
Find a fertility doctor and get checked out. I had silent endo and it caused two miscarriages. It's best to go see a fertility OB right away so they can look at everything. Also your partner should be tested too
I'm 36. We finally decided to try. I got pregnant the very first time we tried 😅 literally "baby danced" once in 1 month, and it was the very first month we actually decided to try (we were both traveling for work) and I was shocked to find out I was pregnant..I was expecting at least 12.months of trying based on my Dr. People's bodies are so different it's crazy.
I just wanted to say I enjoy your videos so much! I know I am just one of many who appreciate you both taking time out of your busy lives to share your professional knowledge to help others 🙏💜
My husband and I have no issues with none of what was said and we both was checked with our fertility specialist and after going through all the treatments, we were diagnosed with undetected. They have no clue why we can’t get pregnant. Infertility for 7 years. So hope this video helps someone else. ❤😊
We are going for baby no.2 in the new year 🤞🏼 We were so lucky to conceive on the first try in 2022. I was 36, bmi of 36 but I too the prenatal for 3 months prior, tracked my cycle on paper and tested for my peak ovulation. Had lots of ‘baby dancing’ in the few days before predicted ovulation day and the day of and after just for extra luck and now we have an 18 month old boy 😄 I do feel more anxious this time being a bit older though. Thank you for the video 😊
I personally recommend the ovulation test kits. I was good to see the LH spike for reassurance that I was ovulation and to know exactly when to concentrate our efforts. I got pregnant the second cycle I tracked for each pregnancy in my mid-thirties.
Seriously, this should be something every woman learns when they are ttc! We arent average, we are normal, and normal is a range! So we have to find our own normal! My ovulation day is generally cd18. At least before having my baby. Now it is closer to the average, it seems.
Watching while I have 3 beautiful children but husband and I want another. I’ll be 38 next year and the last few months we’ve been trying…no luck yet but hopefully soon ❤
been trying to conceive for over 18 months now (been to doctor, trying medicated cycle next etc) and I just wanna say I appreciate you guys mentioning infertility in the beginning. Many of these videos talk about conceiving fast and almost seem ignorant of anything else, so it was really nice to see this mentioned. 💛
Your content helped us get pregnant right away, when I thought it would take months or years! Thank you for the great info that helped my husband and I make the best possible decisions to quickly conceive.
So thankful to you both for this video! (Recently started TTC, so the timing of this video is perfect for me, haha!) I started watching your first videos going week by week for the 40 weeks earlier this year, and I’m so glad y’all are back with all this great info! 🎉
I love watching this video, thank you for giving us tips on how to conceive.I am 38 yrs old and we been trying for at least 4 yrs and I didn't not get pregnant.Praying that this year I will conceive.
It’s been almost a year, so I needed this reminder of things and also your care in talking through it. Thank you for saying reproduction is small talk, and for saying pressure increases as well.
Took over four years for our first. Coming up on almost 3 years and still haven’t got pregnant with 2nd 😔. However, we know we are dealing with male infertility.
On fourth cycle of trying for bubba #2. I swore this time I'd be more chill 😅 Trying to relax and just accept will happen when it happens, but for various reasons had to wait until now to start trying, bubba #1 is already 2 and I'd love for a ~3yr age gap. Doing LH strip testing this month just to check, my cycle only recently came back post breastfeeding and has been abit variable, 33 days, 30 days, 36 days which has been a recipe for confusing and false hope 🤦🏻♀️ Sendinf luck and love to all those TTC 💜
You all are the best have been a silent watcher since the beginning! Can you do an episode on subclincal hypothyroidism induced by pregnancy? Just found out we are 4 weeks and 4 days along after a miscarriage but now have a TSH level of 5.86 and was immediately medicated. Dr. Google is quite scary when looking at all the complications that can arise from this (miscarriage, fetal brain development issues, etc). But what I noticed is it doesn’t really say if those complications stem from being left untreated for a certain period of time or if the damage is already done in that short time frame while medication is working to bring the levels down, or what level of TSH is associated with theses complications. So appreciate the both of you and the knowledge you openly share!
The time of day advice for LH strips was interesting and new to me. Also I was shocked how much low bmi can prolong getting pregnant. I'm teetering on the lower end of normal bmi.
I (42) use mid size dose anabolic steroids and thankfully still got my wife (35) pregnant very quickly. Think it may be due to at the time I was only a year or less into using but we shall see when the time comes for the next attempt. God willing.
UGH really? 15% chance per month for me? 😭😭😭😭 6 months in and NOTHING 💔 I’m absolutely heartbroken. And of course we can’t afford IVF. I pray I get my baby #2 naturally!!!!
Been loving your content lately! I was wondering if you guys could talk about men’s fertility clock. My husband is about 10 years older than me. We want another but want to wait. He’s getting close to 40 and wonder if there are risks when men are older?
Hi Drs… love your content. I was wondering if you could do a video on how a woman’s AMH levels could affect fertility and what can you do about that. Specifically if you’re less than 35 and have been told you have quite low AMH. Thank so much❤
I would also love to hear something about helping getting my period back while/after breastfeeding. Had my second child 6 months ago after secondary infertility and would like to start trying for my third early.. still afraid to have to go to the fertility clinic again..
What if you are breastfeeding and are still below 35? I am 27 and still don’t have a cycle back despite getting a positive OPK 2 weeks ago. I’d love to get pregnant while nursing but Im already 15 months postpartum! I am a low healthy BMI (18.5-19) and have gained some weight to try and help. I conceived on the first try at this BMI before breastfeeding so Im hoping that’s not it
When I was breastfeeding and hoping to ttc, I would get positive opks on and off for months, but I still didn't get my cycle back until I fully weaned 23 months postpartum! Conceived baby #2 6 months after weaning. Good luck to you!
When i was 15 mo pp, i got pregnant, but lost it at 5 weeks and worried it was because i’m breastfeeding 😓 some woman can breastfeed all through pregnancy. Some kids self wean when milk changes during pregnancy. And some have to wean before they can get pregnant. Every circumstance is different. I have also heard that night weaning (between 12-5am) can be the answer, so i have been exploring that.
We have tried 3 months and so far no luck. Even though I know it’s still early it breaks my heart and it’s hard to feel like it’ll ever happen! I feel like I expect to see negative tests now 😢
Best way to get pregnant fast (worked for us after trying many things for over one year) is having sex everyday for one month. I heard it somewhere and it worked for us before doing an infertility exam or anything like that
Very interesting. How can i get my period back so I can get my fertility back? I stopped breastfeeding my baby at 8 months because we trying for baby number 3. Baby is now almost 10 months should I worry?I'm 34 years old.
Don't listen to the statistics from Doctors , you are your own best healer and the power of intention combined with faith will get you your goal. Id love to know why Doctors still promote harmful vaccines especially the covid vaccine. Also, why promote folic acid in its synthetic version rather than folate which is more readily absorbed in the body? Important things to highlight but unfortunately most "medical professionals " just follow the script and regurgitate the nonsense. There are of course many many good Doctors out there who will highlight these issues ❤❤
As a Mom of a 18 month old, I'm having a lot of trouble staying asleep. My husband bought melatonin-complex drops to try but I'm afraid it will be unsafe for future baby #2. Thoughts? INGREDIENTS: distilled water, vegetable glycerin, preservative: potassium sorbate, 0.1% melatonin, valerian root extract 10:1 (Valeriana officinalis), lemon balm extract 10:1 (Melissa officinalis), passionflower extract 10:1 (Passiflora incarnata, contains 2% flavones), vegan L-tryptophan, thiamine hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride.
How long does Covid seem to affect sperm count? My husband got Covid literally weeks after we conceived and finally tested negative the day we got our first ever positive pregnancy test. 😅
I have a questione, please: Do I need to wean from breastfeeding to conceive again? I have an 8 month old baby and we would like to try again, but my period hasnt come yet.
Please do a video about uterine windows. When I had my second csection they told me they could see my baby before cutting open my womb. They didn’t say definitely don’t have another baby but did say to avoid it and I’d need scans in future to check my womb before a pregnancy. I feel like I got very little info about this at the time and have done a lot of googling 🙈 How risky is a pregnancy after this? (I think it’s called a uterine window) I wouldn’t be intending to try a VBAC, just another csection and possibly earlier than 39 weeks. Would love to hear your take on it
How to increase sperm count, morph, and motility? We are dealing with extreme low numbers and fertility place just said do IVF and urologist had no recommendations either. Even with low numbers we finally got pregnant after 4 years of trying but now we are coming up on 3 years trying for baby number two and feeling like giving up since we are not going IVF route anyways
Age 45 and never had a "problem" getting pregnant. In fact its ANNOYING how easybits been. Ages 25, 30, 32, 34, 45. 3 of those pregnancies were on birth control. Nobody talks about this and I dont get why.
My right sided fallopian tubes are blocked and pcos.but always the right side is the dominating follicle. In that case how should I try natural.what can i do naturally conceived? Pls answer.
If you've had a miscarriage that needed a D&C - is it harder to get pregnant? I am 29 years old and had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks in July and am struggling to conceive my second baby. The first two pregnancies I fell pregnant on the 1st or 2nd try and now going on month 4 with my third. Appreciate your videos so much!
Have you regular cycles? I got my period back 1 month to the day post D&C after a blighted ovum miscarriage. After that I had 2 months of irregular cycles. And then got pregnant on the second cycle I ovulated on time for. I’d test your ovulation even if it seems like things are back to normal.
You guys are awesome and I love your videos! However, folic acid is not a better supplement than folate or methyl-folate for about half the population. Roughly half of people globally and in the US have a mutated MTHFR gene. Neural tube defects have been strongly associated with folate deficiency. The MTHFR gene is responsible for converting folate into methyl folate which our body uses and converts further for various uses. About half the population can convert the artificial supplement folic acid, into methyl folate. But for those who can not, or can not as well? Supplementing folic acid over folate or methyl folate is anywhere from pointless to dangerous.
You likely mean that you have a mutated MTHFR gene. Everyone has a MTHFR gene and half of us have a spicy version of that gene. MTHFR C677T is the most common mutation and it can somewhat convert folic acid into methyl folate but not well.
@@TheDoctorsBjorkmanbecause of the election results, I feel like many of us have contraception and abortion access on our mind rather than how to conceive as quickly as possible. But maybe this could be helpful for those who are also concerned about their right to access IVF
Understood. We can assure you that the election had nothing to do with our schedule timing - we’re just here to help people feel more informed about the medical side of growing their family, taking care of mama, and taking care of their kids.

I have the mthfr gene. My body can’t convert folic acid. Many people have this gene mutation
You likely mean that you have a mutated MTHFR gene. Everyone has a MTHFR gene and half of us have a spicy version of that gene. MTHFR C677T is the most common mutation and it can somewhat convert folic acid into methyl folate but not well.
Diet and exercise has a lot to do with fast conception without any other underlying issues. I disagree with you all there. Food is truly medicine
Not thinking about getting pregnant in this day and age my guy and gal.

While I appreciate the info and love this channel the timing of this video is questionable
Thanks for your support!
Just curious though, why is timing questionable?
@@TheDoctorsBjorkmanbecause of the election results, I feel like many of us have contraception and abortion access on our mind rather than how to conceive as quickly as possible. But maybe this could be helpful for those who are also concerned about their right to access IVF
Understood. We can assure you that the election had nothing to do with our schedule timing - we’re just here to help people feel more informed about the medical side of growing their family, taking care of mama, and taking care of their kids.
@@ChapstickChunxI know so much on my mind too. Would have loved a video about their view as a professional and talking about what’s going to happen. Why would anyone want to get pregnant fast right now 😣
@@beatricevossebein2757 They have wievers from all over the world. Some want to be informed, some to grow their families, lives are not stoping because you have elections.
