Then they should have come out with an echelon that could work with the hellcat it does not make sense to make a modular gun that has nothing to customize period. He is absoloutly right in this video
Nah, they're completely different guns. Different grip angle, trigger mechanism, slide serrations, optic mounting system. An Echelon compact would be far superior.
I don't think it would be pointless since the echelon has a similar system like sig sauer with The FCU and can swap out modules. So in a compact version that would be awesome.
They could be like Sig and have 20 versions of the same gun but Sig also has more aftermarket support. Optics were new once and now if you don't have an optic cut you won't get the sales. Comps are the hot thing now so companies are rushing to get comped versions out. Maybe we will see integrally suppressed pistols in a few years.
Might as well just go aftermarket if SA does not want to sell modular parts. Or just go a different route with a different company. Archon has a nice modular frame that can be Sub, compact and full size frame. But they really haven’t done much as far as releasing a SC magazine.
Glocks are literally the most “lacking” pistols. Most people replace 80% of all the factory parts. You have to pay extra for MOS models, while almost every other manufacturer has just made optics cuts standard. They are not innovative and I’m not into paying top dollar for a pistol that needs $200-$400 in upgrades just to fall short of lesser priced alternatives.
Yup bought mine dec 23' not buying the comp version... I bought the hc pro, 2 months later the comp version came out... not buying a whole other gun just to get it comp'ed

It makes no sense the echelon doesn’t have a compact version yet. Like you said huge selling point is modular and it’s nothing to make it modular with. Dropped the ball
Echelon is great, works well. I use sharps brothers frame, which is compact without the mag well. they have a fiduciary responsibility to their investors to maximize profit…and this is what works for them. Doing things that cannibalize hellcat sales probably does not make sense…. if it did, they would probably do it because it would make more money.
This is one of the reasons I haven't bought one yet. I thought they would have had more options by now. Why they were not ready for the "modular" capabilities at the time of release is mind blowing. Should have had several options on day one.
People keep talking about “they need to come out with a compact”…. The hellcat pro is the compact smh. Literally looks similar and has the same grip/frame and same sights. The regular hellcat is the subcompact….the echelon is basically like a fixed up Glock 17, good trigger nice sights and nice looking and feeling grip texture…beautiful gun for a fair price.
I was told by an employee from Springfield that the compact version of the echelon is going to be introduced in 2025 I swear I’m not lying I have no reason to lie about something stupid. I called the actual company and was told this by one of their firearm technicians
Maybe the compact is the hellcat Pro. The Echelon Comp is a well thought of firearm. I’d love to purchase one. I must admit it is tittle as a modular firearm. ? Where are the other after market assets: slides, handgrips, different magazines and Springfield brand optics and so on…..Come on Springfield
They will in time. Keep in mind, there is a small manufacturer in Karlovac, Croatia that is making this platform. They’re making it for Springfield and HS Produkt for Europe. Glock has also been around since the late 80’s. I remember hearing “plastic gun? Will it be able to be caught in an airport security screening?” Glock gave steep discounts to law enforcement, and they have commanded the market as far as sales. This all just takes time.
This gun has only been out a little over a year. You can’t expect everything at once. Glock, Sig and all those guns mentioned have been out for years now and they’ve had time to develop the aftermarket. You couldn’t buy all that stuff you mentioned (Zev) when those other guns came out. People need to be patient and let the new stuff come. We’ve got a lot of new stuff coming out regularly for the Echelon. Personally, I think we’ll see a compact version of the Echelon announced at Shot Show since it would be a big deal.
I'm with you bro. We need a 4 inch compact. All these different variations of the full size would sell more if it was a compact. I'm bout ready to just grab a G19 instead of waiting smh and I'm NOT a Glock guy
To a lesser extent, Sig is doing the same thing with their 365 FCU's. I have several FCU's. All live in Macro lowers now. I'd love to buy a 365 AXG grip module or a Fuse slide assembly. All my FCU's are registered for warranty with Sig, so they know i'm a customer, but they either want me to wait until production catches up - or buy yet another pistol.

They call it the COG. It is supposed to be modular like the Sig P365 and P320. They do exactly what S&W does but worse because S&W doesn't even market anything as modular.
How is following a trend milking something? Glock and Smith have offered ported guns for quite some time (Glock not so much these days), Sig has offered 50 state legal ported slides which do in fact work, and Smith came out with the Carry Comp line right around the same time that Springfield decided to shift from offering a comp that wasn't 50 state legal, to a chunk ported slide that is 50 state legal, and then they just pushed it across their line as it is something they can provide at a small mark up, that people often have done after market.
Follwing the trend isnt the problem, making a minuit change that could only be achieved by buying the full gun. Sig, glock etc do this but ALSO sell the slide and barrel seperatly so you can just upgrade without buying a whole new gun for just a slide and barrel
So did the same with the 17 round mags for the hellcat after people went out their way to buy a aftermarket mag extension. OEM is always the best of course. These companies need to be held accountable for this BS
Hell yea keep these mfs in check. Just cause they know ppl gon pay. This goes for any company. Still got to put out quality to stay in the game. They gon get away with shit every now and then, just the way shit is.
@@dariuskincaiddoes the hellcat pro not perform at this level? I’m new for sure but I have heard it compared to the Glock 19 and P365 plenty of times. Most people that I have seen comparing them usually say that the deciding factor between the three is how it feels in the hand of the user.
Unrelated, but I just really wish the Beretta APX A1 would have caught on more than it did. I think it had great potential with the modularity to swap frames like the echelon and p320, but the market focused more on the p320 grip modules. Sig is another company that guntubers shill heavily for, even after the lawsuits. Whether or not you believe the ever growing reports of the gun discharging on its own, it should definitely make you stop and think. At this point though, it would take a LOT to pull me away from my Glock 17. I just have too much invested in holsters and mags and trigger time to start over.

I'd happily buy direct from H.S. Produkt, they make good stuff. Giving the middle man S.A. my money has A strong stench to it given past political shenanigans and how the company seems to carry itself.
Sharps bros has one as well. The grip is actually smaller without the magwell. A compact echelon would be nice though . It’s a solid gun and with the cog I’m sure it’s coming.
5:37 good question why aren’t more people about it? But still better than Glock out of the box, you say the after market supports better yeah it’s been out for 30+ years now and they still in the past 2-3years came out with mos they still have the same basic frame and slide they always have which was innovative for its time but that time has long past. I am 100% agreed with the facts the echelon should have more support from Springfield and aftermarket 100%. But you can’t blame the aftermarket for not options yet since people buy a Glock to swap everything to make it something else for twice the price. Again though 100% Springfield should be realizing more options for its modularity instead of new comped version
@@dariuskincaid this is true, everyone gold standard is the 19 which size wise makes perfect sense but there are just so many things it has better out of the box it’s crazy to me that people are so obsessed with Glocks just to pay 500+ and then another 300$ in upgrades while for 600< you get the stippling, slide serrations, ambidextrous, optic system out of the box! Obviously the cog exists haha but like you said without different frames it does nothing other than colors which I did get an fde frame 😂 but I do want a compact 100%
They don't have the big government contracts therefore the capital to invest in extra product is difficult. Springfield relies more heavily on the private consumer to do business than say Glock or Sig. What this tells me they haven't sold enough of this platform to justify the cost of spinning up the increased modularity options.
They milk it cuz GUNTUBERS shill for them. And at the end of the day you still own a copy of the virgin cola cuz glock is and always be the best imho 😃
Almost nobody I know of shills for Springfield, and I've been watching gun content for a while. Springfield god absolutely shit on by most gun content creators with the Prodigy, and since then HS Produkt has provided them some good shit to import including the Echelon. As for the whole ported gun thing, Smith has been doing it forever, and so has Glock. Springfield/HS Produkt are just following the community where it goes and right now comps/ports and dots are huge. If you don't understand this, you're out of touch.
I don’t get the “milking” take…the company is in business to make money. You can buy a regular Benz, a better Benz, an even better Benz, or an AMG Benz. You can’t just buy the basic bitch version and ask for an AMG engine. You can be mad if you want, but the game is the game. Everybody loves capitalism until it becomes practical…
True, but if a company says they want to compete with Glock how are going to not release a Glock 19 variant which is the most popular Glock ever and is currently the most popular gun ever lol they are releasing AMG stuff meanwhile they don’t have the basic stuff down it’s backwards. If they really wanted to make money they would of released a compact Echelon lol and a metal one too

@@Sleepy7666 honestly the sc is the only canik i wouldn’t purchase. Too bulky for its size. Never been a fan of it. Everything else it great.
Sig has done the same thing with the X10 now they have a comp model. Personally I don’t do or need add ons I’m happy with the standard Echelon.
I think the compact version would be pointless, Springfield already have hellcat pro
Maybe we will see integrally suppressed pistols in a few years.
i just bought an echelon off the gearup sale. and b4 i can even test it at the range, they release the comp lmao
😂😂😂 *insert Denzel Washington smacking the table meme* 😭😭😭
Might as well just go aftermarket if SA does not want to sell modular parts. Or just go a different route with a different company.
Archon has a nice modular frame that can be Sub, compact and full size frame. But they really haven’t done much as far as releasing a SC magazine.
You have a point there I could not agree more I like the echelon but they are lacking that’s why Glock is Glock well said brother 👍🏻
SA: “New frame/grip modules coming soon!”
Us: “How soon?”
SA: “VERY soon!”
Us: “Yeah…but, like..when?”
SA: “Soon!”
Us: “Ok…but could you maybe give us a ballpark…”
SA: “ONE MORE WORD OUT OF YOU AND I WILL TURN THIS CAR AROUND!”
It makes no sense the echelon doesn’t have a compact version yet. Like you said huge selling point is modular and it’s nothing to make it modular with. Dropped the ball
When I bought my Echelon last year before it left my FFL, I had it cerakoted and comped
I am OK with the full size version and I will buy it sometime this year. I will also agree with the entire point of video
But we have to agree that they are one of the most reliable pistol there is
As a beretta fanboy lol I don’t want to hear that its far more miserable on this side of it
People keep talking about “they need to come out with a compact”….
I kinda think that Springfield missed a good opportunity to bring out the echelon in 10mm
Agreed!
I think they probably have that in the works or have already developed it, but like the thumbnail says they are milking it
I was told by an employee from Springfield that the compact version of the echelon is going to be introduced in 2025 I swear I’m not lying I have no reason to lie about something stupid.
I’ve been waiting on a compact version
They will in time. Keep in mind, there is a small manufacturer in Karlovac, Croatia that is making this platform. They’re making it for Springfield and HS Produkt for Europe. Glock has also been around since the late 80’s. I remember hearing “plastic gun? Will it be able to be caught in an airport security screening?” Glock gave steep discounts to law enforcement, and they have commanded the market as far as sales. This all just takes time.
They know we will complain but still buy. They got us 😂😂😂
amen
This gun has only been out a little over a year. You can’t expect everything at once. Glock, Sig and all those guns mentioned have been out for years now and they’ve had time to develop the aftermarket. You couldn’t buy all that stuff you mentioned (Zev) when those other guns came out.
People need to be patient and let the new stuff come. We’ve got a lot of new stuff coming out regularly for the Echelon.
Personally, I think we’ll see a compact version of the Echelon announced at Shot Show since it would be a big deal.
I was waiting for something almost alike the strike industry brace for this platform
I'm with you bro. We need a 4 inch compact. All these different variations of the full size would sell more if it was a compact. I'm bout ready to just grab a G19 instead of waiting smh and I'm NOT a Glock guy
same reason i WANT a hellion but wont buy a hellion, i cant even get spare parts :/
I want a full dust cover double stack emissary
To a lesser extent, Sig is doing the same thing with their 365 FCU's. I have several FCU's. All live in Macro lowers now. I'd love to buy a 365 AXG grip module or a Fuse slide assembly. All my FCU's are registered for warranty with Sig, so they know i'm a customer, but they either want me to wait until production catches up - or buy yet another pistol.
Shadow systems is nice wit it too
Preach 🙌🏾
id really like the echelon to be put into a compact version instead of fullsize, also instead of a comp'd version lol
You make such a brilliant point as usual brother… it’s the reason why I watch you and SPN… I always get real firearms talk. Not paid shills… yeah SPN gets flack because he’s a glock fan but he has others. Everyone has their favorite guns… but the importance that I focus on is the MESSAGE… your videos is always enjoyable… when I was determining which I wanted hellcat or 365 I went sig. yeah folks hate on sig as well but I never had issues with sig… I also don’t like it when companies milk their customers. I’m not interested in any comp guns… although the radian looks cool but not on a carry gun. At least this is my opinion. I like subcompacts a lot… but I’m also a full-size fan. I put down on a x5 legion because that felt like pure heaven in my hand and there was no way I was walking away from that. Anyways, I turned this post into a seminar. I wanted to say thanks brougham. Love the content man 👊🏾🤘🏾
Why would anyone care what SPN thinks? He is the ultimate Glock shill. He literally makes the same video over and over and over. He praises his Glocks whilst making g video about his nonfunctional Glock. Amazing 😂
@@luckymanham302 to each their own man… I enjoy his glock content because I’m getting back into glocks… I haven’t owned a glock in almost 20 years but now I have two added to my collection and I plan on more… so for me I enjoy his content. If you or others don’t like it simply don’t watch it my friend. 🤷🏽♂️ anyways, enjoy your weekend. 👊🏾
@@nightfall22 indeed. Since you are not opposed to striker fired pistols, rent a Canik to shoot side by side with your Glocks. I own 2 Caniks (Elite SC and TP9SFX) that are 100% stock and 2 Glock clones (Dagger compact and Micro) and built the clones with top shelf parts. Both Caniks have been 100% reliable with any and all ammo, they are much more accurate, cost less, and outperform any Glock I’ve ever shot. To each their own as you said though. Have a great weekend. Cheers 🍻
Me too buddy, Me too! I agree 100%
I think they are hopeful for the aftermarket sharps bros just dropped a metal grip
For real!!! Where is the compact 15 round frame? 👀👀🤷🏻♂️🤔🧐
It's bad when Beretta is doing a slightly better job with the APX
We can’t even get a regular Echolon and Prodigy in CA 😢
Because of your governor Gavin Newsome
@@j.p.4541 Never voted for that 🤡
@@j.p.4541 Never voted for that clown.
They gon get away with shit every now and then, just the way shit is.
they just came out with a metal grip
No need for a compact Echelon...they already have several compact pistols out.
Name one Springfield compact handgun that can go toe to toe with the Glock 19?
I just have too much invested in holsters and mags and trigger time to start over.
honestly feel like they missed by not releasing all the modular stuff. people wouldve probably been raving about it
Bro my only question to u is this. I'm planning on getting a echelon and the P10F it's just that I'm not sure now which echelon version should I get from this new one and the current model that's out. What say ye?
Get the comp version. Less recoil is better UNLESS you limp wrist it and need the max recoil force to reload.
I bought a threaded barrel version this year and would love to be able to buy a non threaded barrel from springfield 😒
Colors, comp, I bet they release a metal frame before the compact. Shit I’ll would have rather a comp compact.
SA has engaged in really sketchy 2A actions in the past.
The echelon is just a full size hellcat
I'd happily buy direct from H.S. Produkt, they make good stuff. Giving the middle man S.A. my money has A strong stench to it given past political shenanigans and how the company seems to carry itself.
P320 modularity is king.
Have to agree especially aesthetically
Was just about to say this
I know Mischief Machine is making Frames. Also I think Icarus already has one
I like icarus but they are not average Joe budget friendly 😅😂
@@dariuskincaid yessir. Might be cheaper to get a new Echelon 🤣😭. All of your points are Valid. Great Video as always
Sharps bros has one as well. The grip is actually smaller without the magwell. A compact echelon would be nice though . It’s a solid gun and with the cog I’m sure it’s coming.
When Glock came out it was same way it took yrs for what you see now
5:37 good question why aren’t more people about it? But still better than Glock out of the box, you say the after market supports better yeah it’s been out for 30+ years now and they still in the past 2-3years came out with mos they still have the same basic frame and slide they always have which was innovative for its time but that time has long past. I am 100% agreed with the facts the echelon should have more support from Springfield and aftermarket 100%. But you can’t blame the aftermarket for not options yet since people buy a Glock to swap everything to make it something else for twice the price. Again though 100% Springfield should be realizing more options for its modularity instead of new comped version
I think it’s because they came out full frame first. You want to compete with Glock it has to be a Glock 19 sized competitor not 17
@@dariuskincaid this is true, everyone gold standard is the 19 which size wise makes perfect sense but there are just so many things it has better out of the box it’s crazy to me that people are so obsessed with Glocks just to pay 500+ and then another 300$ in upgrades while for 600< you get the stippling, slide serrations, ambidextrous, optic system out of the box! Obviously the cog exists haha but like you said without different frames it does nothing other than colors which I did get an fde frame 😂 but I do want a compact 100%
Icarus precision has a grip module
We can see what the author looks like at the 7:12 mark
What else do you expect from a company that tries to play itself off as the original Springfield Armory??
People need to stop Buying Springfield armory
They don't have the big government contracts therefore the capital to invest in extra product is difficult. Springfield relies more heavily on the private consumer to do business than say Glock or Sig. What this tells me they haven't sold enough of this platform to justify the cost of spinning up the increased modularity options.
That’s what I’m thinking . If they would just release the fucking compact I’m sure that sales would be much better.
The OG Croatian factory has contracts. Springfield doesn't.
They milk it cuz GUNTUBERS shill for them. And at the end of the day you still own a copy of the virgin cola cuz glock is and always be the best imho 😃
Glock best no, reliable yes
If they really wanted to make money they would of released a compact Echelon lol and a metal one too
@@dariuskincaidFair enough but companies and people need to give up this silly idea of competing with Glock or “Glock killer”. Glock will alway have haters but will never be dethroned. It’s like a sneaker company saying they wanna be “Air Force One killers” or “Chuck Taylor killers”, it’s just not happening lol. The smarter move is to just make a good firearm in all categories.
Also, did Springfield actually say that this gun was competing with Glock or did people just throw that out there like they do with every striker fired gun? Comps are extreme popular right now so to me it makes all the sense in the world to release one, Hell, when I saw the announcement I said to myself “Huh, maybe I’ll buy one or rent one now”. I didn’t give a damn about the OG Echelon.
Bro! You're in Florida?
Springfield??? Yall talkin about VHS Produkts????
Icarus and sharps bro has frames and I talked to them and more coming
Agree with you 100 %. Fuck Springfield Armory!!!!!!
Bro I understand your frustration but Springfield can’t do what SIG does modularity speaking they will lose money that way. In the end it’s a business.
Why not? Why couldn’t they?
They do have patents.
Super understatement! But we gotta have what we gotta have! Lol
Come to the Sig 365 family. It’s everything you’re asking for. I chuckle every time I hear people say Glock has good aftermarket, Sig 365 platform blows Glock way.
The fact that Springfield Armory actually supported anti 2A laws and politicians makes them an easy pass for me. I won’t support anti 2A gun manufacturers 😂
Dawg shut the fuck up. Yall have been saying this stupid ass shit for years and not only has it been discussed, it’s being spread incorrectly.
I dont understand the complaint you live in the USA and what you are saying is the very core of capitalism to see you the same nut as many times as I can by making you think it is somehow different ! You have any other 9mm hand guns besides Springfield if so why I mean fact is the only thing you are doing in the end is sending a piece of metal from point a to point be all that other stuff really isnt important ! Yes some are more comfortable ETC but once you have a good gun why buy another ?
I get your point but can’t both points be true? We can still speak up when companies try to pull these tactics with their customers.
@springfieldarmory
