The front barb into the water pump (black tube) is a single mount bolt. Remove bolt and use a flathead to gently extract/pry the metal tube out. It is only press in o ring style tube mount. The rear barb is never removed unless doing a lower intake swap but is also a single mount bolt at the rear of the lower intake manifold.
@@MustangV6TechSupport the silver piece directly attached to the lower intake manifold? If you’re able to twist those out, they might use an npt thread with an o-ring to block them off
Correct. The Lower intakes front port with the front tube extracted is 1/2" npt direct threadable. The 1/2 npt top port on freestar lower manifolds is same. They can also have the lower intake heated, and be rotated with an extension. Both are simply oem pipe doped into the lower intake orifice.

I put the 4.2 camshafts in the 3.8 they give a whole new power band thats alot better
