Must perform intake swap to any other intake manifold to fit these fuel rails. tbh it may fit but I never tried the mustang manifold. Once intake has been swapped this is a bolt on return style fuelling modification for boosted setups. if running anything but freestar or sheet metal box intakes I would only recommend the right side fuel rail as it is far more low profile than the others and MAY...

This mod has been around forever and really upgrades the body outline of the car in one little mod for Free. Without Sand and Repaint: The old holes can have tape placed inside the deck lid and carefully filled with epoxy from the outside. Add body match touch up paint dots to the epoxy and done.

Do you not have to remove the lifters ? What keeps them from dropping when you pull the cam out ?

I just ran into your "other video" and Subbed :) Great stuff. Great Energy, too. I have a problem and am curious if you would give your solution. I have the Mustang '00 V6 and I have F!@#$ up a bolt that goes to my thermostat housing. Head broke off. now there is a badly worn stud of the bolt left there. As you know, with the engine put together I can barely work on extracting it/drilling it out. Do recommend that I remove my lower intake in order to get space to fix it?? What do you recommend? IMO, I am like a level 2 mechanic now and this bolt is level 5. I'm losing this battle.. . Ty for this video and ty for replying if you do!

Quick question. I drive the 94 3.8 and I want to run 96 4.2 belt drive. What's entailed on using the f150 power steering, alternator, etc?
@ryannickfabrication both accessory mounting brackets and all the accessories, used as a set, minus the clutch fan. Must use all belt drive accessories together and be able to plumb custom lines. If the alternator doesn't charge it will need to have a compatible model mustang alternator voltage regulator swapped into it wich takes 20min and is covered in an earlier video. There is very little benefit to doing this exept the 4.2 accessories do swap with thunderbird accessories allowing you to 100% set up your own custom belt drive accessory locations.
@MustangV6TechSupport I was mainly wanting to do this for space? Plus, the psp is remote reservoir and I can weld AN fittings to it. I seen you covered this, but it wasn't in full detail and it was windstar drives. Wasn't sure if f150 was the same., thank you for the reply

I've been researching this for a long time and I'm wondering if I could get some help. I want to put ITBs/individual throttle bodies on my 2001 Mustang 3.8L v6 however, because of the split port induction, I'm having trouble figuring out how to run them. I cant find any lower intake manifolds online that are single port.
@memedump3982 freestar or 01+ windstar lower intake is 1 hole but split port. That would be what your looking for. I would build a slim adapter box intake design around one of them with a welder and sheet metal. Basically make an adapter plate for the ITB you wish to attach to one of those lower intakes should work.
Now we need to know how to put it all back together apparently it has to be on tdc for rocker arms
@michaelcastaneda4135 TDC on comp stroke is not necessary. Each cylinder just needs to be on compression stroke so the valves aren't under load when you torque that cylinder rockers to 26ftlbs and move to next
If you just to the heads off to do a head gasket replacement, do you have to re set the timing before putting the heads back on? 91 supercoupe

Do you think the freestar swap is worth it for an N/A setup at higher alititudes with already less dense air?
Yes. When the mustang intake and camshaft is swapped out for any other Essex intake/cam you can expect a roughly +45 torque gain and +20hp with a tune. I do have the dyno proving this available on the FB group @new edge mustang v6 tech support.

Why does the turbo oil inlet on the top of the turbos seem like they are not level? That will definitely make a turbo burn up faster
