The Trick! Take off the bracket that is attached to the motor mount that holds the O2 sensor connector and holds the wire loom from the botttom. Throw it away. I just saved you hours. Also , you probally have to loosen the motor mount bolt and jack up bell housing to get the starter in and out.
6:58 That is the million dollar question......I cant get the snout out.....been trying for hours. Don't want to damage the starter using a prybar because I might just remove solenoid and just need that replaced.....thanks for the video has helped with the project...
I recently bought a gt trans for my v6, I thought they would be interchangeable but i guess not, the v8 has 3 starter bolts and the v6 has 2, I was wondering if I was able to use the v8 starter without problems because then it would fit right in i just don’t know if the teeth or anything else was different or if i would make my own holes in the spots they should be in for the 2 bolt starter.

What socket qrench is this is looks very nice
You didn't have to take off the cross member, though, it is a lot easier if you do.
