On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

@dorp8193 Says that the F-22 being pretty darn good, is a significant understatement.
@davisc1926 I don't see any logic in this statement. If anything, an F-22 achieving only a 2:1 ratio over a Su-27 (if it were reproducible; and this simulation was accurate) would say that the F-22 is NOT as good as we believe (at least in close-in dogfight scenarios).
Im am also confused by this statement. Though i do not think the f22 was taking it seriously
@@antred11 big ifs though considering dcs can only do publicly available info, and the Raptor is as classified as can be (and also considering the state of the Russians, the Raptor would win minimum 9 times out of 10, but it’s not like they’d ever get that close)

Agree, Flankers are beautiful... but the design language is there in the 29 also, and I kinda like it's proportions a little better.

I still think my all time favorite random moment of missile madness was that time in the (I think) Harrier, doing the Falklands fight, where you fired at the A4 and the A4 fired back, and your Fox 2s both hit and exploded right in front of both airplanes, and the A4 came bursting through the fire like 3 feet off the nose. That was crazy.

I like the Fulcrum even more than the Flanker (aesthetically), but they're both among the best looking fighters ever designed.

wouldn't getting inhaled into the engine of the F22 count as a draw since you TECHNICALLY got a kill on his plane?
In the future countries will keep vast flocks of Canadian geese for wartime. The reason why? Getting sucked into the intake is technically a kill.
The helmet might do some damage but the plane could probably still limp home. Apparently birds getting sucked into intakes doesn't do much to a modern combat jet.
The f22 could almost certainly make it back with 1 engine

Yes, the Flanker family is an attractive group of aircraft. The way the front of the fuselage transitions from a flat streamline to what resembles a long neck that juts out and above the intakes that is pointing the nose slightly downward, giving the neck the effect of having a hump, and that nose looking like a really big bullet. They look intimidating.

When it's added, it'd be cool to see the Mustang v.s. the Corsair.
Unpopular opinion but, I think the Corsair is way cooler than the Mustang, but the Mustang is still up there.

Nice and good fights! But let’s not forget, that’s the flanker with HMD and high off bore. The f22 is limited to vertical scan mode since there’s no hmd.
on round # 2 after being hit and spinning out, it seemed for a brief second you a gun shot right before ejecting.

Flankers are very "sexy" planes indeed...
The Flanker series is definitely one of the best looking fighters on the planet. I'd be curious to see it would perform if the fuselage was designed as a "lifting body" and enlarged LEXes'. The thicker lifting area would, in my mind at least, enhanced lift at high AoA and lower speeds. I may need to build a balsa glider one as MA-001-23.

I have fought several fighters in DCS with the F-22, and can say the Su-27 is quite a challenge if you are not paying attention.
