At least one software developer somewhere is losing their mind thinking “someone just released an app that does the same thing as the one I’ve been working on for the last 2 years!”
I would actually love to see AI play a role in fighter’s physical therapy. Good coaches do a great job of helping their fighters develop their skills but too many lack the knowledge to read their fighter’s movements if they lack stability and/or mobility and then prescribe them exercises to improve their mobility and stability so they will have a long and healthy career or continue to train with little to no pain until the day they die.
At least for this century unless a sudden major breakthrough is achieved and it's starting to look as if that promised breakthrough is not a breakthrough at all but rather a slow pace to victory
AI could revolutionize learning. Imagine a tutor that could personalize and adjust to you specifically which could cut the time you need to learn something by 75%. Would totally change humanity.
Learn to enjoy the process. You get so much more out of martial arts than just learning to fight. Learning the normal way will teach you patience and perseverance. Something you can apply to all areas of your life
If they have quite a bit of a size and reach advantage on you, then theres a few ways you can do it. if this is not a competition or sanctioned fight, then take a look at the ufc banned moves. They are banned because they are too dangerous. eye gouge, bite, pull the hair, Hell, you should even throw sand, dirt, or rocks to blind them or distract them so you can hit them in the groin. But if it's a legit match, then play into your strengths. If you feel confident you have even the slightest speed advantage, take it, cause as a big man myself, my fear is a smaller guy coming in and blitzing me before i can react. And if you're shorter than him, your punches come from different angles, so they won't be able to block and see them coming as effectively. And unless he gets into a fight with shorter people a lot, then he will have to punch down, which is something he might not be used to. But you should Blitz In and out throwing quick strikes from varying angles to overwhelm them. The last bit of advice is that no matter what, don't let him get a hold of you because whatever advantages you have are neutralized when the bigger man has a hold of you.

I must agree that martial arts cannot be taught by ai because martial arts is defined by improvement. Improvement is inspired by mistakes and AI can’t make mistakes on its own. It also can only teach what is standard or expected, thus minimising the creativity and creativity is the source of ART. As in martial arts. If an ai is teaching you to fight, you’re not a martial artist, you’re just a fighter. If you’re gonna fight, you should want to look cool while fighting anyway, because why not?
AI is 100% gonna take over martial arts coaching in some sense. Most coaches just show the technique and bring some feedback afterwards. Something that will probably done by a screen/hologram/ai within 10 years
The problem stands in how we manage employement. We should have AI as a supporting tool. Making our jobs easier and/or more efficient. But we're using it to replace people and making them jobless. It should bring us to new peaks yet it's taking us down...
Not only do martial art just for fighting and exercise, but also since it helps connect with other humans face to face. As an adult I really do socialize as much after work. I want more human contact, not less

AI is cool and all that, but it won't really be practical for teaching you how to strategize against opponents. All it can do is show you "proper form" and even that is an open ended subject. The most famous champions don't really have correct form if you think about it, it's all about adapting what works for you and making it your own style.
Well look. You were my first coach over 10 years ago in 2013. I grew up learning from your vids that even coaches were impressed and thought I was so called “sand-bagging” them 🤷🏻 whatever that means. Nice tips! That being said, I don't quite get why you still keep referring to combat sports as martial arts. While martial arts often suffer from historical rigidity, they lack the rules that define combat sports.
@justinkirschenman2232 That's not necessarily the case. So, I won't define them that way especially because some combat sports do not even relate to any martial arts _at all_. And when a combat sport derives from a martial art, it often does change the art to a point it is sometimes hard time to think they have something in common even when the name stays the same (e.g., Taekwondo, Pencak Silat, Ju-jitsu)! On the one hand, combat sports are like gaming. There are rules, weight categories, time limits and other constraints to make sure fighters don't get hurt or limit the spectrum of injuries. You know when you're going to fight and you do know you're going to fight one on one and unarmed. On the other hand, martial arts are-literally-the arts of war. No rules, no protection, no time limit. Can combat sports be effective in a brawl? Yes. Is it the same? Certainly not. Do they share things? Yes. But the mental preparation, the psychological conditioning and the whole panel of techniques are necessarily much different. This channel talks combat sports. It prepares and trains for combat sports. And it does it very well. But I've yet to see anything martial here.
