    Here’s a tip for you guys,actually i had a pretty bad ingrown toenail last year and I didn’t go to doctor for 5 months but then i finally got my ingrown toenail removed in December but this april i got it again,it really annoyed the shit outta me. I decided to get it removed again. I went to my dermatologist to get it removed but intead she advised us not to do so coz it may happen again. She told me to tightly squeeze the overgrown skin around my toenail 4,5 times everyday so that the nail grows upward instead of growing into the nailbed. I did as she advised and it really grew upward…i was literally so happy. It took me 3 weeks but it can vary from person to person. It has started to heal now.
    I hope this helps!

    Had one toe starting to Ingrow myself. Used a bucket with cold water and a disinfectant (Betaisodona) for two days to reduce the swelling as well. Also in between I used a little bit of cotton soaked in Betaisodona and pushed it under the edges of my nail before I wrapped it up. Ever since my nail is OK. The cause was me being over-confident while my toenails too short. Lesson learned

    Sure glad I found your video! Hoping it's not too late though. Both my big toes get ingrown nails since I was a child. Yes, I used to wear heels in my 20s and up, I am now approaching 56 and STill get them even though I no longer wear heels/narrow toed boots.I am also a diabetic with moderate chronic sensorimotor peripheral neuropathy which in itself is SUPER painful but I can still feel the ingrowns, I go for pedicures and the woman who does my pedis is great, but even she can't get the part under the cuticle, like a Podiatrist can. Thank you, thank you THANK YOU for posting these wonderful tips! I'm going to try them and see which works best for me.Knowing you're a professional in the field makes me more at ease! I also remember going to the E.R. when I was a child after twisting and spraining my ankle and the E.R. Dr. told my mom to have me soak my foot a couple times a day in Epsom salt. After that my mom always had some around!🦶😧

    just finished doing the floss and cotton remedy. The idea of alcohol soaked cotton in my ingrown sounded REALLY painful. I used some of the Oral-B super floss (it’s like a cotton texture kind of, mostly used for people with braces or permanent retainers) dipped that floss in the alcohol to absorb it, and then took a bit of cotton, tucked it under the edge of my nail and then essentially used the flossing motion to pull and tuck it all the way under my nail, where the ingrown is. Stung a little bit afterwards, but that’s from the floss saturating the cotton under my nail. It saturated it just enough to do it’s job, but not too saturated that it burns like hell. Feels better already. Gonna leave it for a few days and see how it goes.

    Great remedies! One I’ve used for years that isn’t mentioned, is at the top of the nail, in the middle, cut a small V shaped wedge there. Then as the nail grows the v shaped wedge that you made will want to close up, thus pulling the ends of the nail inwards as they grow. Hope that makes sense.

    Thank you so much! Currently trying the Cotton under the nail technique and the relief was instant!! Can anyone give me advice on what to do now? On the presentation it said replace daily, does that mean I remove it every day and replace it? Then how long do I do this for, until the nail grows out fully?

    • @TinyRoseTamer
      @TinyRoseTamer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'd change it 2 or 3 times a day; just to avoid moisture & make sure the nail grows the correct way.

    I really like that he is educating us about real issues many of us have. And, he is educating verses just insisting that visits the doctor are required thus promoting doctor visits instead of teaching about the issues trying to "help" people. Thus,, try to help themselves before recommending visits to the doctor "straight away". So, not focusing on trying to making money. IMO

    I think an important fact the doctor didn't mention is the shape of the shoes. Most shoes taper. Even most sneakers, but the natural human foot actually spreads outward. The only popular shoes that does this are crocs. I had ingrown nails. After learning about this, I started wearing crocs everywhere consistently. In 2 weeks, my ingrown nails grew out.
    If you have ingrown nails, I highly recommend this. Also wear looser socks. I also discovered my socks were too tight. Now, I only wear men's socks because women socks tend to be more narrow.
