I just bought a used 328i. I couldn't be happier. I traded in my 06' Mustang..4 litre, manual. I didn't expect much l power from the 328i, automatic.. I was very happy to be dead wrong. It is smooth and rides like a dream. ( On my way home..I didn't pay attention to the speedometer..,thought I was doing about 65 mph..,then I had to slow down to 95! I had no idea what I had been missing all those years.

I got the coupe for the extra room in the front seat. Just retired this month...at 67..It wasn't so easy getting in & out of the sedan. No problems with the car.
Excellent review. I have this same car in dark red, fully loaded with paddles, navigation, sport package and leather seats-Dakota. The leather is not the greatest-but in light tan looks a lot better. Only 41,000 miles on mine and it handles better than the Jags I previously owned. Car is very zippy and handles extremely well, Looks and drives like new. Once again, you did an excellent job. Thanks.
well i currently have e46 i bought at 120 000km 5 years ago now its 312k+ biggest thing i did was replacing 4 shock absorbers. Besides that only filters, oil , petrol and tyres. so idk who told you bmw is unreliable piece of shit

I don't. If you own a BMW or Audi and got 200k without spending 20k you're lucky. Having 200k on a lexus is nothing. The lexus engines are so good they are the only engines that are allowed to be used in small planes. I wouldn't wanna be in the air with a BMW engine in my plane.

All I gotta say is two things. 1) I grabbed a used 2009 e92 328i with only 45K last year (2014) for 22K and I love it. 2) Leatherette is by default and you have to pay for a full leather interior, which comes with better seats. Including motorized bolsters and lumbar adjustment. However I don't think leatherette is bad. From what heard, synthetic is actually more durable than leather over the years. Also consider the current climate about animals and vegetarian customers, you cant just wrap your car in animal skin by default these days. I think it's better than cloth in that case.
I'm looking to move up to one of these from my 99 e46 318i, i'm glad its leatherette as my wife's pescetarian (veggy who eats fish) so nice one bmw for saving a cow.
