Among other things, I've owned four Hondas and a Mazda and my 2013 328ix that I bought with 50k miles four years ago has been as easy to own as any of them. I don't really know what the issue is with the dash warnings; when a light goes out or another warning is tripped, it needs to be resolved. It's not a problem that it's letting you know something most other people don't figure out until someone tells them. Also, that battery cable probably won't burn or corrode if the correct battery is installed and registered anymore than conventional battery cables would, which could also burn or corrode if paired with the wrong unit. The main risk on these cars is the timing chain, but chances are that if the car's still on the road, the original faulty one has already been replaced. The chain will also likely give audible warning that it's going to break long before a belt ever will (as I know from a Honda, which people seem to think are infallible for some reason).

Oil change two times per year. Fix any leaks immediately. There is nothing inherently wrong with BMWs, only bad owners who ignore maintenance. BMW batteries generally last 7 years because it is protected from the heat of the engine. Even me as a BMW person would skip this year and regular non maintenance people should skip BMW altogether. Or get an extended warranty.

Very happy with my purchase
How much did you pay for it?
Hey, I am thinking about getting a 2015 328i x drive. Its previously used, 220,000 kilometers, no accidents, he said he did oil changes every 5000 kms. Red seats grey car. Has a stage 1 tune on it and he did a muffler delete but will put it back on for me. I want to get it safetied. He wants $14,000 for it (CAD, it is $10,300 in USD. What do you think, is it a good deal. What should i look out for when i go to see it.
Thank you for keeping it real !! Most videos is about how they not reliable or there’s no problems lol

Informative video, thank you 👍🏼
Thank you I was just bout to my one of these for my first car
Awesome points! Thank you
Anything else I should lookout for? I just purchased one lucky the battery cable looks new. Timing chain was done already. No leaks but I do check the oil level every time I get gas.
How many miles and how much did you pay
Thank you for advice 👍👍👍
Omg. Thank you so much ! Really wanted to get one now I won’t. Is it only this model? What year would be best for me to get I really want a bmw but not one that is like this. Or are they all like this?
Was about to pick up one for 10k with 115k and you just changed my mind. I just do not have the time or money for maintenance after spending 10k cash.
Where you finding a 328i for 10k??? Around me here they go for 20k at like 70k miles
@@easycash1368 yo. Idk but im in 46815 area.
The one i saw is in Lima, OH.
You’re spot on, it’s not for everyone. They’re amazing cars just fail when used out of spec.
Bought a new M3 two days ago. ❤️
how's it going? 1 year update?
In the UK, owned an F30 diesel , one of the most reliable cars I’ve owned. Don’t know why this reliability reputation exists in the states.
That's a great question!
That engine sound 😟, is that sound normal ?
Beautiful video
thinking of bmw audi or a g37 still unsure...
Good review thanks man
Thanks for watching!
BMW must love you.
I love bmw tho
Do the back seats fold?

This guy just convinced me not to buy it i saw a nice 2015 328i
I have my eye on one .The dealership has an engine warranty for the life of the car so thats a plus.
I'm tired of leasing. I miss taking care my first car I've ever own. That beast of a Ford taurus of mine got a bath every weekend!
A Honda/toyota turn signal is designed to last 200k. That’s why they don’t need to mess with all the extra complexity and headache
how are the speakers on this car?
No complaints, the standard system is pretty solid imo
Awesome man
Thank you for sharing
I’m owning red 2013 Bmw328xi drive 127000 miles still running like a champ
Hopefully it’s willing to be like this for many more years
I definitely learned something from your video today 👍

4 with a twin scroll turbo
Here in the Philippines,a low mileage M5 E60 costs $20k 😢
here in south africa it costs R600-900k mate...we're fcked xD
how much did you put as a downpayment for this car I really want one im about to start working 40 hours a week with $15/hr will that be enough to get one ? How much would I have to save up for a downpayment ?
I would avoid a car like this unless you have an emergency fund set aside for major repairs.
@@MasryMotors what if I start saving up money to pay it off and for emergency funds ?
Yes that would be ideal! Good luck
@@MasryMotors thanks my goal is to get that car before 1 year. If you don’t mind me asking how much was your downpayment for this car ?
You cannot afford this car, buy a Toyota or a honda
Good stuff .
Mate that sounds like a tractor, ate you sure the timing chain is ok
I just bought one 😂 today damn
How is it doing?
A je shqiptar?
Funny how we starts out saying people consider this car not reliable and then list all the things that show how unreliable it is. It's an unreliable car, plain and simple whether you like it or not. That badly designed and terrible with age, even if you do keep up with the maintenance.
Man after watching this Im scared bra!!
a guy is offering me a 2013 bmw 328i for 15,000 is it too much?
How many miles??
@@queallure4240 89k

How’s your car been ?
How is it going??
Damn the battery 🔋 story is making me worried. Probably stick to Honda then.
Something to consider for sure. Thanks for watching!
I completely disagree with this opinion of bmws of this generation.
It's sounds like a diesel 😂
Bmw its very late with some future
Service due since 10k miles LOL
😬
Lmaoo thats why
Get your car serviced regularly n you’ll be good
At BMW
Lmao, of course the indicators broken
No, buy a 2015, 2016
Yes, soo many problems with these 2013 models.
4:30 sounds like a diesel
Yes it’s a very unique sound these engines make. I’m not a fan
Apparently it’s from the injectors
