      You said something about leaving a 9-year relationship well what happened to me is my wife of 26 years was freed like a french fry to death by the doctors radiation and St Mary's hospital which is now Providence denied her healthcare two times the third time I took her less than a month she went brain-dead on 718 2020 and the doctors were telling me she's gone you're just keeping her alive on the machine so I told him to pull the plug on 722 2020 and she passed on at 1534 and that was the 10th year that we paid off for house and I love RC cars planes and helicopters and I have a massive amount of static models of all sorts I've been collecting them for a few years but not anymore I have suffered from depression for many years and this happening to me has been really hard but I'm trying to stay happy God bless

      I just bought a 3700 electric bicycle it's called Ariel Rider it's got big fat tires it's so cool 😎 and I had to get it because the DMV took my driver's license from me because my vision is not so good and United healthcare is the worst ever healthcare and there's a reason why things are so messed up in the healthcare industry so I'm retired and I got to depend on them which is a joke

      @@kirkslayden834 I’m really sorry to hear what you and your wife went through. I went a very similar story. I started to type it but it’s too long. I was with her from age 19 years old when I met her. Married at 26 years old divorced at 57 years. Total of 40 years together. Together almost everyday for years. I was going through depression probably 10 years before that. With no support from her. I started to get into rc at 21. Raced oval carpet indoors for years. Then it died out and got into crawling and everything else RC Trying to help my depression. So I was loaded with RCs and still to this day. Very long story short!! She filed for divorce. Was not expecting it. No big fight. Never treated her bad. Total opposite she treated me bad. Had lost my job of 20yrs. Paid pretty good. But not as much as her. I had bad luck getting a good job. Lost some but she never believed my reason. Tried my own business. Had work couldn’t find help. She kept degrading me and sucked Out any confidence I had left. Sorry getting long again. So we got divorced and in the agreement it said I was never going to see her again. NO CONTACT. When I read that it really hit me and hurt. After the divorce there was nothing not even a hug goodbye. I lost my house and man cave. Built a Koi Pond in the back and a started a rock crawling course. Moved in with my mother. In her basement with tons of RCs. Then about a year and a half. She passed away. Lost her house. Had a big fight with my two sisters and their grown up kids. Was homeless for a while. Finally found a very overpriced apartment. Had to stuff all my rc stuff into it. Wasn’t into it either for a while. Just started getting back into it. Because of major depression suicidal. She didn’t die but it feels the same. Plus have no family and totally alone. Without rc. I probably would have done something bad to myself or someone else. So keep working on your RCs. It really helps take your mind off other stuff. So sorry this is still so long!! Just hang in there 👍👍🙏🙏🙏

    I'm sorry to hear of your current situation. You are a cheerful, radiant nature and I am sure things will get better. I'm an early millennial and in the last few years lots of peers "confessed" that they have issues, negative thoughts, unhealthy habits and so on. Which makes me feel better because I'm in the same boat lol. RC and 3d printsling saved my sanity quite often lol. And I'm even debating whether to buy the KE or bambulab A1. Thanks for this great video 🤗

    The catch is that it is a Creality product, they release their printers when they are in the beta stage and rely on the community to fix the faults, or in their K series printers keep coming up with revisions of parts until one actually works correctly.
    With any newly released 3D printer I would advise potential purchasers to wait 3-6 months to enable the community to figure out what is wrong with the printer as there always is a problem somewhere

    My tip for 3D printing parts for RC is to try a slightly higher temperature and slower print feed. And when fixing holes print undersize, do not use a drill to make then bigger, use a reamer, because it doesn't stress the material nearly so much and won't snatch into the sides. If you only have a drill, hold the part firmly and spin the drill backwards as you slowly push it into the hole.

    This presentation is probably the best demonstration of this model that I've seen. It "put me in the driver's seat" about assembly and operation as well as possible short of actually having the unit. I probably will be ordering one by mid May. I've been on and off using a tiny original Ender (150mm x 150mm) for years; the cheapest way in 2017 to see if 3D printing is a thing for me.

      Using the default CA Hyper PLA profile and by changing only 3 parameters I was able to achieve functional accurate and perfect print using a sub $10 filament which require minimal to no sanding requirement. (I had to only change the speed to 150mm, Pressure Advance to 0.1 from 0.4 and max volume speed from 27 to 22).

    So sorry to hear about you going through tough times. It so important to be able to talk to someone when in need. I grew up in a home where my mom (now retired) was a psychiatrist and psychologist and worked with many people over a long career. We are all human and no one is perfect and the importance of being able to talk is so important. I really love your channel and I consider you one of the best RC reviewers on TH-cam. • @elus89
    @elus89 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi RC Girl,
    First time watcher here and fairly new to 3D printing (though I have been researching it for years). The KE is my first printer and while my experience is similar to yours, everyone has different quirks (I think yours is a later batch and has the least of those so far).
    My auto bed level works fine in the centre of the bed (with a minor lowering of the Z-offset), but on the edges it is out too far and sometimes my print fails if I use the whole bed or fill it to the edge with copies. I will probably need to use spacers and tape to get it right.
    A few pointers:
    1 . I noticed that when you were on Creality Print, you had the setting of 100% infill density. But if you looked at the g-code breakdown in Preview, there was zero allocation to infill. This is due to the bizarre way that Creality treats infill. You are better off setting it to something like 30 but then pretend you didn't set it all. This is because to adjust the infill amount, you have to go to the setting below, infill distance. In order to increase the infill you make this setting lower and vice versa. It's right in Creality's Wiki, but it's completely non-intuitive. This is why I advise abandoning Creality Print and instead use Orca Slicer. It's a derivative of Prusa/Bambu. It has a lot of good presets, you can use wireless printing (though it's not perfectly integrated) and the support and infill settings are much easier to work with.
    2. This leads to my 2nd point. You can use wireless printing without Creality Print, it's just one extra step. There is a webpage GUI that you can access through any browser (including mobile phone) by just typing in the IP address that your printer has been assigned via DHCP. To get from your slicer to the point of using the web gui, you just need to export the g-code. Then you go to the web gui, press import in the window with the list of files on your printer, then you can select that file and choose print. This is a touch buggy though, so sometimes you still have to go to your touchscreen and select the print from there. It works 8/10 times though and you shouldn't be too far away from your printer when starting a print anyways.
    3. Orca Slicer actually has a tab for the web gui that you can use as soon as you've registered your IP with the software. So IMHO, it is currently the best slicer to use with the KE.
    4. You can root the KE either with Creality's latest firmware or destinal of D3vil Design's patch. Then you can use the wireless print option from any slicer that works with Klipper. You can also change the config file from here, install Mainsail, Fluid, Kamp, KlipperScreen, Moonraker, Guppyscreen, etc. GuppyScreen works in landscape on the KE touchscreen (Nebula Pad) and has a lot more options than Creality's default interface.
    Happy Printing!

    I really had no idea how inexpensive these printers are. I'm impressed and might pick one up. For me, it would be RC accessories. For starters anyway lol
    BTW, I'd be willing to buy your misprints in the meantime, they look pretty damn good. Totolly love the jerrycan set up you made and rack. Find the ones for sale at the 1:10 scale small looking.
    Tough times now for you eh, (I'm Canadian). The sun will shine again for you kiddo, just takes a bit of time. Stay strong!

    Not sure what slicer you're using but start learning Orca Slicer (its free and open source). I've been using Cura since getting my first printer 2 years ago. Just learned about Orca and there is so much you can do in the slicer for RC. Like taking 2 different model and mashing them together, adding more shapes, filiment profiles. Yes Cura has some of the features but I find Orca so much more intuitive...plus if you move away from Creality, it supports a ton of different printers.

    Do you fly planes or mostly cars? I love planes and jets but I'm not sure about printing yet. I'm like which would be good for the long haul bc I don't want to keep rebuying one.

    • @RCGirl
      @RCGirl  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have a lot of planes but haven't flown in a while. Depends on what you're wanting to print. This one has a moderate bed size. If you want to print bigger things, this may not be the right choice. But for what I'm wanting to print - scale accessories and such, it does everything I need.
