Great video! @16:33 What the guy said, was "Leboch silalu wede asphalt endathead!". It means, don't go to the main road, because there are thieves. It's nice he gave you that advice.
Thank you for the great representation of our city and culture. Thank you for showing what the media doesn’t want to show about us. Please be careful walking alone late at night It is not safe.
Ethiopia 🇪🇹 is very safe . In Ethiopia no one going to jump on you or try to harm you because Ethiopian are very friendly except someone might take your cell phone without you knowing it😅 they did that to me I didn't even know how they took it for me😅 but Ethiopia 🇪🇹 is really safe❤
my birthplace. damn...did not expect you to be in Ethiopia. This vlog was amazing. And yes Ethiopians and Eritreans look similar. impossible to distinguish between the two.
as an Ethiopian from Addis amazing video bro but be careful at night some places when if it doesn't have lights there might be thief's so take care of yourself and thanks for the video
You should have gotten one of those dudes number n they would show you around the city just for some tip along with food n drinks (kimkema). If they can’t, they will connect u with good people. The city is full of good well mannered n helpful people aside from a few bad ones that give it bad rep. I am a solo traveler n that’s what I do wherever I go. BTW: I was born raised in Addis. Other than that, it’s dope to see a black man visiting his spiritual home 🙌🏿
I know EXACTLY what you was about to say when comparing the Ethiopians and Eritrean's. LOL Good looking out I was just in Addis in September for the Ethiopian New Year, I was there 3 weeks. I stayed in Bole and let me tell you I enjoyed EVERY last minute of it outside of the 2 guys who tried to tag team me to try to take my mobile phone out of my pocket. 🤣Thanks for the video, it was really nice seeing the country again. I can't wait to get back there in March next year!
@@slyslife It was rather cool and rainy when I was there in September. A few days a week it would be a little warm during the daytime. But the nights were kind of cold to be honest. Nevertheless, I still loved it and wish like hell I was there now. But I'll get back there very soon.
Love Ethiopia. Such a great place. Looking forward to going back there. I think people confuse you for a local because you seem to walk around with a purpose. Most foreigners tend to try and soak up stuff locals take for granted. Keep up the good work and be careful at night. It is risky to be alone, even for locals.
@@slyslife Yes they were. He was saying “ don’t go out to the street, there are thieves out there” Gotta love it! Hope u enjoy ur self in Ethiopia my brother😊🥰
Hello Brother most places you go they think you're a local , that's why they try to talk to you in Amharic, just be careful when filming and using your cellphone in the streets day or night ok.
Awesome bro,I’m from Kenya and Been to Ethiopia few times, love it…the woman’s are there beautiful and I hope one day I will marry Ethiopian girl and We will have a beautiful child…it’s my dream come true

I loved this place when I was there. They served us Teje out of Johnny Walker bottles. I loved when they came around to wash our hands. Again, I tow that food up. lol!!!
Sly, I really appreciate your content and your quest to learn. My comments about the differences between Eritrea and Ethiopia was not mean to insult rather to just highlight the historical differences way before colonialism. I look forward to your content.
Great video I was wondering when you was going there I seen my future wife in the video......lol 😀 the woman there are stunning....man keep up the great work bro.
I visited it last year in the summer. I missed it. Its people were kind and beautiful. I did not visit it in its entirety. Only poly, but its cleanliness was a problem and annoying people asking for charity.
Good stuff bruh. Eritreans and Ethiopians are the same people but Eritrea is under Neo colonialism through the Italians and United Nations while Ethiopians is its own sovereign entity. Are you going to Rock-Hewn Churches, Lalibela?

ethiopian is just a nationality, there's many ethnic groups in Ethiopia like amharic, oromo, somali etc. So there's no distinct ethiopian look. but you're probably referring to amharic people.
