@SLYsLife- another favorite of mine. Of course, as I'm Jamaican I had to visit as this country's ties to ours are very cultural. Ethiopia- beautiful people- beautiful country, DEEP culture. While there I visited - Merkel Square, the Museum of Arts n Science, Friendship park, and Addis Mercato market. Piazza is the old city part of Addis. you were just walking and talking. Unfortunately you did not focus on the prominent resource that piazza is holding in her womb. What you have missed in your recording and narration is that, that part of the city or Piazza in Ethiopia or in Addis Ababa is a gold and dimond mine ,i can say . To you left and right side of the street you covered walking there are hundreds of shops selling gold and dimond plainely displayed by the windows as candies are desplaied in other common shops. Gold and dimond displayed in plain view ,never in other countries fr security reason. This proves that Ethiopia and Addis Ababa are safe for visitors. Man you have missed it get back and record ,buy also gold they will give you for less.

The country is rich in history and has been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Twelve in total,#1 in Africa). Another fact about Ethiopia is it has its own written alphabet and numbers. Everybody else in Africa uses Arabic or the Latin/English alphabet to communicate in written format.

That monument you didn’t know the name of is called ‘Yekatit 12 Monument’. It was erected to commemorate the martyrs killed on 19 February 1937 during the second Italian invasion. On that day, they massacred over 30,000 Ethiopians, in retaliation of an attempt made to assassinate one of the Italians commander.

Enjoying your content! Funny, another person I follow on TH-cam, she just got to Dakar, and she’s had a bit of trouble with her Airbnb, and how some aren’t at the address, as given. He was also surprised by how dusty it was along the roadside. Well, I saw how dusty it was on your video. So, I’ll be prepared. 😁

Thanks and yeah, the sand everywhere surprised me also, but it wasn't like that in the more "upper class" areas. So, I'm sure they could do something about it.

Look, American’s and many Europeans are not considered to be the most respectful people. We show an arrogance and ignorance by disregarding the customs and traditions of other. Black Americans are supposed to show more enlightenment in encountering others. How we present ourselves matters. We need to study the history of others and become knowledgeable of countries.
You’ll encounter a variety of scenes but must always carry yourself with dignity, humility and respect. We’re not redneck hillbillies who mock other cultures and nations. Some of your comments cause me to scratch my head. Back to eating with your left hand- the left hand is to be kept away from the table , do as you see other do. Remember, Ethiopians and other nations in Africa , have had 1000s of years of civilization. That’s why a guide will help you in your travels. Best of luck to you.

7:01 Ethiopia is a safe country and many are very kind and friendly. But you gotta be careful mentioning certain tribes out loud like that. If you knew your Ethiopian politics I think you'd understand but I just suggest not to mention it. Especially some people can take it the wrong way cause you're american and the politics etc.
