As a fellow African it is something to behold when people hold on to their traditions and customs in a world where the majority feel forced or rather compelled to conform. I am sure that spirit to retain what is theirs in one reason they were never colonized. Imagine how much would have been lost if the Italians prevailed. Kudos to Ethiopia and all the help they provided our Southern African countries to gain independence. We salute you.

@@BF-bb5us Good point. The habesha culture is deep rooted with loooong history. 40 years can’t erase that. But I also think Italians weren’t forcing people into Italian culture like the French did, with their assimilation policy.

Seems like a great place to be for an African American Ex pat or traveler visiting Africa for the first time. Grew up in La with a gang of Ethiopians 🇪🇹 so I’m hip to their food and familiar with their culture but this inspired me to travel there. Much love family! Keep it up I don’t know you but I’m proud of you!

Man that was dope hooking the young brother. I thank you for helping a fellow African like me and more a importantly a fellow black brother. Letting him have 10X which was less than $5 and nothing for us shows great appreciation. I am sure when he is blessed one day he will remember how good it is to help others in need. I do that whenever I travel, I almost have a budget for that where I will drop anywhere from a few dollars up to $20 to kids and moms with kids or disabled.

Greetings brother I'm from Baltimore Maryland in my childhood & teen years I never been around 🇪🇹 people but back in the 2010s I was in my 20s I met 🇪🇹🇪🇹 people for the first time I used to go past the 🇪🇹 restaurants in my Hometown Baltimore. In May just past I was on my way to an my 1st Janet Jackson concert Me, my aunt ,my mom & my mom's best friend was excited to go to see Janet Jackson where the concert was at it was an 🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹 Restaurant across the street when the concert was & It went out of business I was shocked . My goal learn about different cultures ( International) I want to get to know 🇪🇹 people better
I bumped into this brother who goes to Africa on a regular. He said if you take a flight from the US to England for example, then buy a ticket to Africa while in Europe. You can get that leg of the trip for less than $100 USD
I wish it was that simple lol. I need to know which countries and airports because then tickets still be high when I look it up. It be higher than that flying from one African country to the next 😆
I know. It looks like them folks set it up so Europeans can go to Africa for cheap. Maybe a reason why the flights are filled with Euros. That may be the angle

Check out a Texas style Resto-Bar off Bole Road called Rodeo. Owned by a Ethiopian couple from Texas. Bahir Dar-Blue Nile Falls, Lalibela-Unesco Site, & Langano. Stayed at the Haile Resort in Awassa. I really loved the city. food & the people. Road tripping down the highway drinking Grey Goose, & smoking Ganja😆...Thank u Shashamane!!! 😉😉

I been to Ethiopia for mission trip and vacay i went to the KFC there the food was good. Along that way is cafe spot there has the great lasagna bro. Im Haitian my wife Ethiopian

Hey! Ethiopian here, loved this video but I wanted to inform you that the dish without meat is not for Ramadan. It is for tsome time when Christians fast from meat. I am Muslim and we still eat meat during Ramadan (when we aren't fasting of course).

Same way the night life in Ethiopia is more calm compared to other places I still managed to have a good time. It just depends on your expectations and what you want for yourself during a vacation
I went to Addis in December 2018. I went alone... Would like to go again, but would plan a little better and would go with someone, as long as they a Good People...

Yes you are correct. Unfortunately I took a turn and started focusing more on the women at one point 😕 but from that I learned is it brought me a Subscriber base that I don't want. You will be seeing less and less in the future of this channel as I focus more on food and travel activities.
