There's only two things I don't like: the roaming pack of dogs that bark all night and the heavy rains during the Spring time. As far as communication, Google Translate works pretty well. But I still recommend getting a phrase book. They sell them all over Addis and especially near the Edna Mall area

The berbere gives the dish its color and taste most of the times... It sounds like you need dishes that dont have berbere/mitmita in them. Maybe alicha kik, tibs, siga and dinich, quanta firfir, genfo with plain yogurt/sour cream or besso are some good ones that have no/very little chili. Truth is, we eat literally everything with berbere

Some of the Muslim men from eastern Europe unfortunately took advantage of them and made them temporary wives. But they will not tell you that. Some of them only want rich white men. I guess because they usually have more money. That being said all African woman in the diaspora are beautiful, Ugandans, Rwandans, South Africans, African American, Ghanaian etc. And most have much to offer. Remember that. ❤ 😊
