man I love your channel! I love the passion with everything; it inspires me so much to do the same! Thanks so much and keep putting out this awesome content!
YOOO! thanks so much man!! this hypes me no doubt!! 🔥🔥🔥 much love lets get it!!
It's frustrating because I wanna be a two foot jumper but I jump higher off one leg. I'm working on both forms though. Cant wait for my first dunk 🙌🏻
Hey didn’t expect to find you here
bro i don't even know how to begin to jump on 2 feet, can u link a video because i really want to learn
1 foot jumping is way better. Bro I wish I got as high on 1 foot.
@@lundoren5240 why in your opinion it's better?
@@piotrekzprod i get at least 4 or 5 inches higher on my one foot jumps. its always been natural for me to jump off one foot. you have the two foot monsters and you have the one foot monsters, it just varies from person to person, but its good to work on both.
You're one if the most knowledgeable and experienced jumper on TH-cam
And ur giving it to us for free!!
Already know my jump form, jumping 4+ years, but still watch full video cuz i wanna see more content from Steven
A video on curing knee pain is much needed! Appreciate all the positive energy and helpful advice!!! 💯
I love doing more than 1 type of plant.I do 4 types of plants off 1 foot right and left as well but 4 step approach mostly on 9'5...an excellent height for me being 5'9 with this cool 7 inch red ball I found.i do 60-100 jumps every other day.guys warming up and stretching is so important.just uploaded 4 short dunk vids today all different plants...great content Steve!
Been learning a lot from you and isaiah rivera👍
hope to be at your position in a couple of years, and yes i rly need that knee pain vid
and if i push with my right leg on a scooter, my right leg should be my block foot when jumping, right? 😂
So glad I got the noti for this so helpful love the content!🔥
YOOO!! appreciate that lets goo!!
U the realest when it comes to jumping,u really try and help us jump higher and I like that 👍🏼
Just what I needed can’t wait till indoor gyms open back up way to hot to hoop in az
Yeah I’m in Scottsdale and it’s like 106, gotta get up at 5am
Wen Jie Chang nah just outdoor dunk sessions in AZ
Zakary Perrin same Scottsdale
@@zakaryperrin7126 Only 106?
So my right leg is the dominant but i feel more natural going LR. Nice vid Steven.
Really interesting video. I jump of one leg , but always struggled with technique of two .
Hi Steven, can you do a video on drills/workouts to help on footwork when jumping with and without a ball?
Hey man what happened to part 2 of “Reviewing your dunks” I got picked to be reviewed and I’ve been so excited to have you review my dunk and tell me what to improve
Could you do a video on how to land after a two foot and one foot jump?
Dude thanks! My left right is crazy bad. My left knee bends way in. I haven’t felt pain yet but thank you bro
I'm right handed and always jump right-left, working on 2 foot-jump as well. I can slap the board with left-right but not nearly as high.
Steven celi can you make a vid on the dunk beef between jordan kilganon and isaiah rivera
Because of your last video, I'm inspired to just jump every week, no more plyometrics, jumping always gives me gains and it's safe. Maybe next year I'll hit the weights.
Think what foot would you lead with when sliding on some ice, learnt that one skateboarding
That intro is still killin💯
Love your channel all the time. What if my another leg is stronger Then the dominant one. My dominant is left while i can jump higher with right leg when i do the one foot jump.
I had a basketball coach who had the same technique to find pivot foot, he was pushing people and saying "hey thats your pivot foot right there"
Could you make more 1 foot technique and also the video on how to keep track of progress was great not a lot of you tubers explain these stuff for jumping
Can’t wait for that updated kneehab video 😭🙏🏼
i snowboard and 100% that trick works to find your jump technique.. nice ass vid bro as always
Steven, do you know any pro dunker that can jump same height from both LR and RL
Omg 😱 this is so helpful and the timing is perfect. I was struggling with this thing getting headaches every time figuring what’s wrong 😂
Me too 😮. Gonna change and see how It goes.
Will working in upper body help with jumping higher (push ups or core strength)
I was RL but all the pro dunkers were LR so thats what I practiced. Then I found out it didn't matter but now im a LR dominant
Im like 5'3 and right handed should i right left also do you have any tips for me
Heyy quick question....so i was on my way to dunking...was makin great progress...went from touching backboard to rimgrazing....but then i rolled my ankle bout 1 1\2 week ago.....any tips to come back and better...like drills to get my vert back....because like im scared to jump high rn
is necessary to do both of plyometrics and weight training to jump higher? Appreciate you
I skateboard normal footed but jump left right. I bike left foot forward(which is less common than right foot forward but it's probably a 40/60 split)
Any advice for ankle rehabees?
Left right is so natural whenever I try to go right left I tend to lean backwards, any tips ?
i had a huge increase when i focused on having a straigth back i did this by pushing my chest out and tense up my back muscles like u would do if u stand straight when women around
Steve, what is your differential between straight up(no step) vs run up, off 2 feet
right-left is great for right hand dunkers so I wanted to switch from left-right to right left.
doesn't matter which hand!!
I jump left right but I know I can get higher of right left but it feels unnatural both ways when I’m trying to dunk, should I jump off one or train both?
If my left foot is stronger it is better for me to work left right approach?
noti gang, coach 😎
GANG GANG!!
Can you do a vid or Tik Tok for bad knees patella pain
You make it all look easy! And I can’t wait to snowboard again together 🔥
Is two foot jumping superior to one foot jumping? I can jump about 32-34 inches and throw down some pretty good dunks off one foot (left), but I hardly dunk off a two foot jump. Should I try to work on my two foot jumping instead?
what was your highest standing vert?
Knee vid would be great!
got you!!
my standing vert is like the same as my running vert
Question: why do you always jump with low tops? Aren’t high tops better for basketball?
song at the beginning?
I can barely grab the rim off 1 foot but i want both to dunk how can i do that please reply.
Şteve I was 6 months jumping with not good technique and one day I was thinking if I push with right leg and do long stride, I came with right technique, lol.
lets gooo!!!
@@BeTheEnergySteve Lets go, you and kilganon biggest inspiration!
I’m 5’6 with a 7’2 reach and I barley got my first 9’6dunk but when I try jumping I barely get to the last link of the net, I jump with one foot when dunking but jump with 2 feet when trying to reach rim idk how I can improve???
Finding your dominant is easy: go spike a volleyball or even just pretend to. If you're right handed, you'll probably do a right-left so you can get up and pound that thing. I honestly think people that are right handed and do the opposite, just trained it that way and it's more random. Even dribbling into the 2 foot jump is more natural if you use the corresponding hand - right = right left, left = left right, because your penultimate step off hand will want to swing up a bit too. I'm learning though, 39 and 5'10" just 2 hand grabbed a 9'8.5" rim today giving me a 30 or 31" vert! So a few more to go to grab regulation 2 hands
What should I do if I'm able to dunk on 9'7 but I can't go to the gym?
Does anyone know the vertical a 5'4" person would need to dunk? I can reach up to 6 '8", btw.
46
Yea 46 seems reasonable
I jump left right when my dominant leg is right is that bad?
Hi, does the jump manual work? I am a 6 ft one foot jumper, currently at 31 inch. Thank you!
Yes
Knee health video plzz , it's really frustrating but I cannot exceed my limits only because I have knee pain !!!!
Flight that my type dunk
How tall are you
I jump higher and have better form with L-R but R-L seems more fluid when you are trying to dunk with your right hand. Does anyone else feel this way?
Im stronger with my right foot, but i jump higher with my left. Should i change anything?
keep a balance and keep going!!
yo hair look so different when you fix it it 🤣
hahahahaa
What’s your overall body fat percentage??
i play soccer with my right foot but when i dunk with single leg i use my left :)
Im ok with both plants but ill stick with right left because i can dunk easier
Ur height?
What was ur height at 16?
I am really looking forward for the knee pain video!
Thanks!
Steve, Im Naturally LR Jumper but its do my left knee pain and I want volleyball spike IM right hand like u. Im work RL footwork for 6 month and I can do like Natural jump in volleyball but I cant jump comfortable for dunk What can I do?
I can jump good without ball but My step slower with ball
Im right handed but i jump higher with My right foot than my left. I jump my absolute highest off two feet. Left right plant. Anyone else with the same player build as me?
What if I’ve done a vertical program(w/o weights) but stills wasn’t able to dunk but I have all the body strength and speed to be able to dunk? That may sound weird but I’m 5’9 210lb but it’s all leaned out muscle and I’m strong and fast but can’t seem to translate that too vertical explosion. Too heavy? Need more speed? Also I’m a vegan so I know it’s not my diet. I receive tons of sleep and I’m a exercise science major so recovery is covered too. Just really trying bang out like you 🤦🏽♂️
I did Vertshock! I’m actually on the last week of it right now. And I know worked my ass off because I shocked my damn nervous system from W5-W6. Anything I touched felt numb for a week
For me dunking isn’t my main goal it’s just to jump higher and become a stronger player in general
What should I do because I touched rim 2 days ago and I can’t touch it today what the best jumping exercises to dunk the fastest I’m 5ft 8 I do sit ups to strengthen my core and I do squats everyday
Get some weights and squat twice weekly one day 3 rep max and regular 4x8 squat variations cycling them every week and one day going through the motion but really light and fast for Like 9 sets 3 reps and have the same accessory work on both days, 4x8 main lift variations as well. and practice jumping on days off 👍 make sure ur eating enough too
You are the best, behind the kilganon.
Isaiah rivera up there too
@@azeemindawala Yeah I know
Celi I'm 5'4" tall and can touch 9'7" any tips to get the last 5 inches fast? I'm a one foot jumper and I have only done plyometrics...
Look up Andrew McFly on TH-cam. That guy is the same size as you and has insane bounce
Have you tried two foot take-offs? I'm 5'6 and I think for most shorter people we can do better off of two feet. I can touch 10 feet off of two feet, and can maybe reach 9'6 off of one foot.
@@justinliberman3970 what did you do to get that vert man?
whats your standing reach?
91 inches
My standing vertical is 33 and my running is only 36...is that a bad difference between standing and running?
its not that bad but it seems like you definitely need to work on your form. My difference is around 6 inches, but you definitely jump higher than me lol

Do u jump higher in plank? cause I always jump on concrete and people tell me that u jump higher in plank
Yea like 3 inches higher for me
I jump higher on concrete
I jump higher in plank I think it’s cuz of traction
I’m 12 years old 5 foot and I dunked on 8 foot 6 with 2 feet 2 hands and I dunked left to right I think that is my dominant 2 foot technique that I will mainly use for dunking 🙂 plz comment
I'm too small to dunk
I'm 5'7, and im 2 foot jumper
what is your height?
5'10"
@@BeTheEnergySteve your jumps are insane, I'm 5'10" too, will try my best to get these verticle 🤘🏻
Can a 5'4 really dunk or jump higher to dunk?
Andrew McFly is 5'4 with shoes on and he can do a between the legs over someone on a 10foot rim
@@hunterrussell4409 yup i watched that.
That was very lit men.
I really need to work on my legs. Speed
I’m 5/10 and I keep getting rim check
coming from a volleyball player. the only way to jump if your right handed is right-left.
Eh not necessarily
I thought u are 5'8👀
I dunk easily with One foot, But i find 2 feet cooler But cant even touch rim 🤦🏻♂️
60th
I can dunk at 5’7 if I was 5’10 I would be able to slam
Im 5'11 and cant dunk 9
