@@AdityaSingh-rf4fx I’m not sure what’s going on with the halal meat in UP. So idk. But I’m against halal animal slaughter in general. It’s just brutal and inhumane.
Beef ban is something I’m kind of against because it’s religiously motivated. But on moral grounds, if we can ban meat of some animals then why not one more to the banned list because moral values are subjective after all.
Another thing is, it’s a directive principle in the constitution as far as I remember. It’s been there from the beginning because of Gandhi as far as I know. It gives the states a right to make laws banning beef. So, legally I don’t see any problem.
(I’m a vegetarian btw on moral grounds. So, I personally don’t care what’s banned and what’s not.)

I don't blame the Dutch for trying to safeguard their culture. It is a small country and could be overwhelmed easily by immigration. The population of India is massive and could swallow all of the USA population and barely notice it. As far as Islam, people wouldn't be turning against it if there wasn't a reason.
