Here Critics needs to understand that Ganesh is not a politician or journalist ( doesn't matter both are living off each other in today's era) , Ganesh is a student of Business and his pov is always in learning policies of government and understanding big takeaways from it. People are too much into politics these days , specially the opposition parties. If you are not a politician and not fighting any kind of election in India , please stop getting into too much Politics and try to get what's best for you in current and future scenarios because that's where your life will change. After a certain age people have hard political ideology and whichever question Ganesh might have asked has no significance on either side. It's always better to think about what's on your plate and eat one at a time. Social media is too much spoiled these days , so many bots and everyone scoring political points in comments that people started expecting the same stuff from Ganesh and you'll be forever be disappointed because I'm proud follower of Ganesh and I totally agree on him when he gives analysis on economy and political scenarios.
I am following this channel for almost 3 years, really surprised that Ganesh was able to get our current finance minister. People arguing whether its biased or not, I am just happy for his success and growth. I got a lot of information from this channel and also learnt a lot and I hope it grows more.

@@nextingting How is this propoganda? He asked pointed questions and she answered, he poked for examples, she gave them... She tried to make it political a few times, he got her back on track and she did. Very effective and informative.
This is stuff that should be shown on National Television and explained to the citizens in local languages. The key takeaway I always find lacking in any media channel is that politics and governance are two separate things. No one ever questions about how your going to bring about the change you said you would. Thank you Ganesh! You're doing the job so called 'journalists' should be doing

25:00 The Income Inequality joke has been started. She answers about the job engineer being not qualified enough for income inequallity. are she saying that poor person means the mentally incapable and rich business house has intellectual powerhouse? Probably she had more allocated funds to education instead of the reduction of corporate tax and wavier of corporate loan of 14 lakh crore. so in a nut shell she is describing that Indian education is not improved under Modi Goverment as we have not seen such type of excuse by the previous government for income inequality. In India, the richest 1% own 53% of the country’s wealth, according to the latest data from Credit Suisse. The richest 5% own 68.6%, while the top 10% have 76.3%. @@Comrade_Yash totally agree, FM should lay down logics on what plans she has in mind, at least tell it out loud that what she is doing to bring more people under tax base. Also the sooner she understands her collecting large tax from people isnt a good thing, and does not shed light on earnings, for example one has had no salary hike in last 4 to 5 years, but his expenses including gst and indirect tax and tax due to inflation he pays has increased including education expenses of his children then this achievement of FM only means she is sucking more blood at the cost of citizens future and growth. Any government should lean towards lesser tax collection, and more employment even if they have to provide employment themselves and bring some strict labor laws by which employees are not exploited or fired from job at will like private companies do. let them take insurance against bankruptcy and other such things to push into paying salary when it runs out of business. after all success of business is due to hardwork of employees. look at putting more money into peoples hands than take away, they are installing hundreds of cameras for what? to hold someone for speeding - after one month, people start getting 1lks, 2lks etc as penalty to pay... expressways are meant to go fast let people travel in peace with whatever speed they want, its not like rest of the country is filled with nice roads, time saved on expressways are used up completely on the crap roads decreasing the overall journey time anyway, they just create more pain, they want to squeeze whatever money they can in terms of fine, penalty etc not have to justify on top of already tax terrorism they do

@@damienknight5655 One example would be the rich poor divide question asked by Ganesh(around 25 mins), she just said she don't believe it exists and steered the answer away to skills gap between industry and graduates. It was not steering away from the question, rather she explained using that as one of the factors. @@fnamelname4146 Ya, I also felt the same way about some of the question. The one about spliting the GST Difference in particular. I pay 30% on my excess money. I pay low income tax of 13% under 15 lakhs . I can live a comfortable life in the remaining 87 percent money which I will further integrate in country's economy by spending. If I am earning more then I should contribute more. This has to be the finest interview with GoI on the internet that touches really core issues and plight of common citizen. Really amazing to see how well FM knows the root and technicalities of the subject. Kudos to Ganesh!
key questions have been raised and answered, clarity on both sides is what is needed by the viewers and I would say this podcast has covered all aspects. This is very different from the mainstream media debates where proper reasoning has been given, instead of an hour of utter nonsense.
@Think School, may be you are already are aware of this but some of the top businesses owners (billionaires) nationally and internationally watch your podcasts like they watch the budget session. Your team is adding extraordinary value to the policy makers, traders and businesses owners and overall commercial environment. I hope you keep up with such consistent performance post election season because now you have and will become pivotal in the evolving mindset of young entrepreneurs. SUGGESTION: INCLUDE A FEEDBACK SEGMENT IN EACH INTERVEIW WHERE IN YOU GIVE ESSENTIAL INPUTS COLLECTED FROM THE BUSINESSES THAT ARE FACING PROBLEMS (you will have to design a system where you collect genuine grievances from the business fraternity so as to ask questions).
One of the best pronouncements of the government policies and practices. I give credit to Modi for identifying and placing such bright candidates in various Ministries. When someone asked Jamshedji Tata to explain how he runs such a large number of conglomerates and still appears unfazed, he said, "All that I do is select the right person and set him free!"
not great FM btw, i disagree. i even disagree with notion of a politician holding job of FM for a country like INDIA. there are people much more educated, much more experienced, like economists within the nation, they should be given a chance... its so wrong. that's why China every day makes more progress than India, they have better decision makers, who makes better decisions at every turn.... good interviewer btw
@@giveaway4002China makes progress as there is no opposition that constantly does dharnas. Labor laws, Farm Laws and the bullet train is a good example. And Tata Nano is another example. Easier to blame government, and continue to promote the opposition.
@@giveaway4002 Lan Fo’an, the current finance minister of China joined politics right after graduating from an economics university. If I see it right, he has been a longer politician than Ms.Sitharaman. I don’t think being a politician or not being one is a criterion here. It’s about having your ear to the ground and thinking in the Indian way. Some economic theories may not work in a hugely diverse country like India and some big impactful decisions cannot be simply imposed because we are a democracy. Democracy is slow but the results are solid and accountable. If people have waited patiently for years with people like Chidambaram, it’s only fair to give her a chance for at least 10 years when she’s forthright and honest. Most of the first term of this government has been about firefighting losses from UPA. I think the next term will see some major decisions as we have now solved many issues from the past.
In the middle of the interview I was almost unerringly routing for the anchor to ask questions which FM shouldn't feel its elementary, You have managed to pull off a superb one ,holding on to your nerve. Especially with a super intelligent & strong leader like our FM. Watt a lady phew... !, Have to give it to her to have accommodated. Well done mate !

Ganesh, this is good. Maybe you could start a program where you bring the ruling party minister and the opposition party minister to debate and share their vision on how they can make India competitive. What kind of collaboration is the government facilitating between industry and educational institutions and how much money has been invested to created such type of collaboration. You did a good job highlighting to the minister some of the issues / road blocks - you can dive deeper by asking follow up questions should be to share their vision in mitigating the issues. Most times we hear anecdotes.

You have to make your contribution in terms of resources for next generation. Give back what you got from country. this is not how you interview a person who hold office
okay check out the interview after 24:22
when he asked the questions he did not hold her accountable
for example he says there is a gap in our income and it is increasing ok good question and also are engineers are unemployable but he didn’t hold her responsible for this which she is

our situation is like this
for example we don’t have enough doctors to serve our people
there are lakhs of students who want to become doctors and we need doctors but what we don’t have is enough good institutes to cater these aspiring students
what I mean is questions should be direct like why we are facing these problems and why you are not able to prevent or solve these
problems
we don’t need you to explain the problems instead we want solutions and answers and accountability that if you are failing to make things better then just accept that you have failed us

Am from Kerala now I understand the issue with GST return for my state . Which was kept hidden by the state government from the public and used as a tool to criticize the central government
Until and unless a state initiated a project to create the revenue the GST was not 1:01:40 going to fix for kerala .2. find out the loop holes that drain the revenue
It's a very good video with such powerful questions and well clear answers.Appriciate the great effort to put this into the frame
Apparently, the South should fix the holes and leakages while the North will find new holes in their own states. She gave a BS reply and you are lapping it up.
This BS GST system will not last long. Southern manufacturing states will forced to increase consumption in their own states so that the state share remains there. After that, there will be a rat race for resources from both sides.
Very well answered why companies still prefer Gujarat over any other state.
It's not just about policies, it's about commitment and the positive attitude that it has to offer.
Also it is better that they invest in states with stable government so as to ensure successful completion of projects otherwise in case of unstable govt the project fails and the money might end up in corruption.

I was not expecting Nirmala Sitharaman as a good finance minister but seeing this video and the way she explains the question was really mind blowing. Thanks Ganesh for bringing such podcast and asking right questions where mainstream media doesn't ask.
"so now it is up to you to decide whether her answers were satisfactory or not" is one of the main reasons why I like this channel so much. Besides providing great content, Ganesh actually encourages us to form our own opinions rather than to just agree with everyone, is really great.
Such respect for both of our F.M and Ganesh for this awesome interview. It's really clears up a lot of things, and also shows that economy don't run on freebies but rather on smart investments.

Very important interview, must reach the Indian masses in millions.. Madam FM knows the governance required in finance, business and economics aptly, and despite severe harsh criticism, the way she has steered the Indian economy to reach great heights even during the disruptive Covid years is commendable.. Also, Ganesh, your interviewing and communication skills are exemplary.. Very well done!
Everybody blames BJP as if inequality shot up only after 2014 when in reality, it rose the most in UPA era from 2004-14.
The reality is that no one expected anything from the previous government and now people do ask government questions which implies that we are awakening as voters and citizens
That's wrong, look at the price of commodities like pulses, etc.
that just is not true. income inequality levels in 2024 are worse than during British raj. 1% of the country holds 40% of the wealth- highest it has ever been. Modi govt had 10 years to fix this, but he just made it worse by catering to his crony capitalist friends and then taking bonds from them as his reward.

She is a great minister, very calm and composed. And many of the questions which I thought I would be startled to face was very patiently explain by FM. Glad to see current government putting credible people in important ministries.
I don't think so, it's all framed and the real thing comes in real press meet as currently the a public guy asked an amazing question but we don't get an quality answer from FM...
@@Sri_Krish1555 That guy asked a very redundant question. And the response from FM was very adequate. At the time when govt is trying to increase tax base of the country and amount of tax he asked why is the govt doing so, well the country needs to. It's in developing phase and who else will contribute. And I can say the same thing about the brokers too. They too are the sleeping partner of clients.
@@rudeviper so you don't think that we are paying too much tax ? Really you don't even get 18% back for the term insurance or health insurance that we buy.... atleat they should wonder reducing percent based on the service that we using....and this just one example they are collecting tax on already taxed income and that too at higher percentage...go an check for a month of your expence and just add the gst you will figure it out how much of its going and I'm speaking of non luxurious products ( for our day to day use) and if you pair up with the low paying salary that we are getting from the company... you end up in lower middle class easliy in 10 years
@@Sri_Krish1555 No I don't think we are over paying taxes. The government's largest source of income is taxes. So I would judge them on how they eased taxation systems in India. How is majority of that being used whether in just welfare schemes or capital expenditures. I want that. I pay taxes in 30% income tax category. And I am perfectly fine with that. I pay 30% on my excess money. I pay low income tax of 13% under 15 lakhs . I can live a comfortable life in the remaining 87 percent money which I will further integrate in country's economy by spending. If I am earning more then I should contribute more. It's that simple.
*One is in lower middle class because he/she is earning like a lower middle class and not because of the taxes.* Taxes in India have only got lesser and lesser with time but if you expect government to almost ditch most of the taxes I am sorry that's not how it works.
If they in future reduce taxes further I would welcome that, but they Will only do that when they actually can without burdening the economy.
Great achievement

key questions have been raised and answered, clarity on both sides is what is needed by the viewers and I would say this podcast has covered all aspects. This is very different from the mainstream media debates where proper reasoning has been given, instead of an hour of utter nonsense.

She is so clear, great FM
not great FM btw, i disagree.
i even disagree with notion of a politician holding job of FM for a country like INDIA.
there are people much more educated, much more experienced, like economists within the nation, they should be given a chance...
its so wrong. that's why China every day makes more progress than India, they have better decision makers, who makes better decisions at every turn....

How she is great FM She didn't give proper answer when people ask a question 🙄
