Yogendra Yadav, national convenor of the Bharat Jodo Abhiyan, believes that the BJP's tally will come down by at least 50 in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Yadav, a former psephologist who has closely tracked elections over the last many years, said the ruling NDA may also stop below the halfway mark of 272 seats. Yadav also shared his thoughts on AAP, the IAC movement, Rahul Gandhi's decision to not contest from Amethi among other subjects.

Totally wrong. His own maths is wrong he does not know simple adddition and subtraction. His own word bjp may loose maximum of 50 and gain 10 to 15. Then then it will be around around 270. I quite dont understand how an opinion without proper research can be published or shared to Public. Mr Shekar Gupta mentioned in one of the interview that Yogendra Yadav can have his opinion and share it on any platform. But isnt journalism about sharing a proper researched information and analysis of data in an unbaised manner. From this interview I some how feel, he had no research or all what he says is his belief. Anyways, I hope The Print revisits their idea of providing a platform for such researchless opinionist in the future based on the Results. If the results turn out with his views by 2 to 3% error margin, I would as a editor continue to have their views continue but if the error margin is more than 5% or utterly wrong then such opinion columns are taking unnecessary space and time.
This has aged well. Kudos to print to give voice and publish such work. Nice inference by Yogendra Ji. He is a great personality, hope to meet him soon.

People like me and some others I know are not voting for the BJP this time around, I voted for Narendra Modi in 2014 & 2019. And I don't know anyone who is changing their vote in favor of the BJP. So, it is indeed likely that the BJP will lose their numbers vis-a-vis 2014/19
