what artefact set do you recommend for mavuika, some ppl are telling codex, some are telling codex wont work try MH and some are telling me just use scroll with crits and i am very confused rn please help me out
For Citlali being more popular in viewership right now: a LOT of people pulled for Arlecchino, and pulling for a replacement is just a lot less appealing than pulling for a team upgrade, especially an upgrade with a shield, and especially one that will never get a rerun on account of being Cryo. People just can’t risk the skip.
Yup, my brother has Arle and is focusing on getting her constellations instead of going for Mauvika, despite being interested(she is getting rerun in the SAME Patch, pretty stupid decision on Hoyos part imo)
Another on field pyro DPS (and DPS powercreep) was literally the last thing a lot of people wanted. Yeah you can use her in some other roles, but it feels kinda dumb knowing how strong she is as a DPS. Hoyo kinda painted themselves into a corner with this one for not giving us Bennett or Xiangling replacements for so long, as well as releasing way too many pyro DPSs.

@Softdrinksofchoice9 She does a bit more damage than Xiangling and doesn't need her burst to apply pyro. And her being able to use Cinder city will make her a lot better. It only depends if you want more pyro application or more dmg and buffs. It just sucks that she won't be able to burst every rotation without a natlan character 😢.
People wanted an off-field Xiangling replacement/sidegrade and the made Mauvuika another onfielder with a 'slightly silly' attacking method. If she was more like Nahida and Raiden I think people would be more excited, even despite the controversial motorcycle.
Thats the thing... she is though her offield is a damage upgrade frok XL in most teams, just not by a whole lot and onfielding her is better. But if you just keep her offield and use burst it is generally better then XL for most teams dont need that much pyro application and her burst hit makes up for any lost damage from the main dps from lost application. Its just its not better then XL by as big of a gap aa people wanted
What do you mean by more like Raiden and Nahida? Do very little damage at c0 like raiden or be locked to 2 teams like Nahida? People are just throwing a fit over nothing. Mavuika is still an absurd offfield character that dumpsters xiangling in every team, its just that she is also a better carry than the previous carry in those teams.

@@dergrive88 What's wrong with that motorcycle.... IS THAT IT'S A FREAKING MOTORCYCLE. Yes there are other vehicles like the ones you see in Fontaine but Mavuika's bike is the only we've seen so far. Maybe Shnezhnaya has the answers, maybe it's from Khaenri'ah, we still don't know but it just looks out of place. Honestly, I would love an armored horse though.
I think its down to pyro fatigue. There are so many meta pyro characters right now and people are tired of it, whereas cryo has been ignored for ages so the idea of a new cryo 5 star coming out is exciting. Plus some people aren't vibing with Mauvuika's design (the bike). Also we know the Arlecchino re-run is happening soon and so many people love her and would rather pull for her instead.
@@_hector__Maybe not entirely Meta, but for example having Arle, Yomiya, or Gaming will increase your chance of probably not pulling for Muav if you are comfortable/strong with them, it’d be better for a pyro support.
The thing is I have enough DPS more than enough I need more good supports The only reason I would consider more dps is theater but I have yoimiya klee and Dehya so- eh
3 problems. Archon status means she needs to be top level in one of or multiple of 3 categories: Meta, distinction/replacibility, or offer something new. Zhongli is a good example where nobody will ever be able to replace the amount of shield he gives he is distinct. Nahida is similarly distinct and offered something completely new (technically dendro offered something new but she was the only one to really offer off field dendro app at her level and still is thus she was new at release). Furina and Raiden though generic were also game breaking to the point they not only dominated the meta but completely shifted the meta. Shenhe and Mika are great examples of being so specific that nobody can replace what they do and they aren’t even Archons. Mav is strong but not enough to change the meta, only fit into it (ex. Of changing meta is Zhongli making people like Hu Tao and Ganyu basically incredibly effortless to play and clear things quickly, Nahida making every dendro comp possible, Raiden enabling dmg for high energy multi element consistent and fast rotations, Kaz consolidating CC and dmg amp for all nuke comps for like 3 years). She is unique by design but people get her design when they pull her, the pulling only offers you access to in game design aka her attack, walking, idle, and technically voice lines which are usually available on TH-cam - basically to say people who dislike her which is many obviously dislike the fact her bike dominates her gameplay, they wanted to pull for her animations not her bike’s animations… And thirdly of course, she offers NO new roles or possible playstyles, like even Emilie offers new teams and Mav just doesn’t… Mav isn’t bad and people who want her should pull for her but she is certainly mismatched with the expectations of an Archon and value for an account which is why she isn’t as beloved nor hyped like other Archons have been (Raiden in particular since that’s who is most comparable). Why pull Mav for any other reason besides waifu or design or lacking a built pyro dps?
@@ronell450 Venti is still the king of crowd control and it’s no contest. So he still checks off the Archon requirements. The only issue is that he was indirectly nerfed just like Ayaka where it’s only situationally usable with lightweight trash mobs and when it is usable it’s OP, but outside of those situations his burst literally doesn’t work.
This is literally just you justifying your and the communities gut reaction dislike of her. None of this shit is remotely relevant, she isnt bennett 2 and you can't handle it. Raiden was always mid before c2 she just has insane fans that parade her everywhere. Zhongli isnt exactly good at much and xilonen took his last bit of relevance. Nahida gets to support old outdated teams very well but hoyo doesnt want to give her new teams. Furina is the only good archon at this moment and mavuika will be 2nd place.
Im honestly convinced that its because of MiHoyo's handling of Cryo characters, its probable that more people are looking to see if a Cryo Limited is worth pulling NOW instead of whenever Hoyo decides to release the Cryo element from the dungeon for their rerun, Mavuika will ALWAYS rerun purely because of her "archon" status. I know its a meme but lol
@Shirospyre Hoarding how exactly? Cryo is tied with Pyro for the element with the most characters. It's also the only element with at least one 4-star and 5-star for each weapon type.

You’ll most likely need Shenhe on top of it but between both you would most certainly be able to do it. In fact I plan to use Bennett, Cit, Shenhe, and Arle. Arle skill, Bennett burst, Cit/Shenhe burst and skills, Arle burst. And if they aren’t dead Arle Na’s for a few seconds should do the trick. I imagine though if Cit can single-handedly fill Mav’s meter she’ll be a stronger option but with Arle’s numbers it should be a marginal difference at C0 if not practically the same
Dude Mavuika is an archon. Her banner will eventually run again. Citlali is a Cryo character. She’ll go in the vault with Wriothesley and Shenhe for the next five to ten years. I’m def pulling for Citlali.
I agree, her personality really shone through in the AQ and event. I don't really think that was the case for Mauvie though. She feels really flat as a character. But also, I thought Citlali had a really nice design from the start.
My problems with Mauvika are: 1. She's a dps. We have ENOUGH of pryo dps while we have only ONE off-field pryo. Its simple about supply-demand. 2. There's nothing meta-defining about her. Furina is broken support, aside from her buff, she makes MH accessible for rest of the genshin cast. Nahida still is the best dendro support, Venti still has the best cc, etc. But what does Mauvika does? another pyro dps? I was hoping she could make the obsidian codex accessible for rest of the cast, but nope. 3. Her character design itself is meh to me. Yes her outfit and bike is hot, but does it make any sense? no. does it look cohesive and fit natlan-teyvat world? No. (i could say the same about rest of natlan units too).
1. She is a better xiangling in terms of damage and she brings buffs, she just also outdpses every single carry that would use xiangling if you were to onfield her instead. 2. Mavuika is literally a better C0 Furina and scales equally well with cons, C2 providing def shred which is notoriously scarce. 3. So all the natlan units don't fit natlan or they just dont fit your vision of natlan?

also the reason people are more interested in Citlali is because 1) Mavuika is ANOTHER onfielder focused DPS *first* with off field *second* while most people wanted it the other way around. Citlali just offers more potential uses for more characters that REALLY need buffs like Yoimiya. 2) Design. Citlali's aesthetic design is just much more coherent with Natlan's inspirations and culture. Mavuika and her bike are a thorn in a LOT of people's eyes for good reasons. 3) Why would you want to pull Mavuika, a limited 5 star, for off field use when we get Pyro Traveler for free who is already a Xiangling sidegrade to slight upgrade? That's like running Raiden as a Hyperbloom bot when you literally have Shinobu sitting on the bench in your character roster.
@@lawrencehortizuela4978 They do roughly the same damage as Xiangling, aren't tied to other Natlan characters and give a damage bonus from their C1. Pyro Traveler is a sufficient and far cheaper option than Mavuika especially if you already have a 5 star Pyro DPS like Arle or Hu Tao.
I mean Mavuika is gonna be real strong, but she's yet another Pyro on-fielder (with some support capabilities, but lets be real most of the discussion about her right now is her as a main DPS) and literally every limited Pyro 5 star has been an on-fielder so yeah, that's probably why people are more interested in Citlali

I'm going for both but I'm much more excited about Citlali. She looks like a character from Natlan, not like somebody from New York central park. At least for the most part. I don't even care about her talents, the only thing that would put me off would be if she was slotted into standard banner.
I am more hype for citlali for 2 reasons. 1)Archons get regular reruns, meanwhile look at wriothsley and shenhe, if i skip citlali who knows if ill get another chance before celestia to pull again. 2) i HATE motorcycle impact.
To be honest I don't mind people hating on the bike but I think this is more of a virus that infected everyone because her kit isn't something people expected

@KahlevN you know that that is a dumb explanation right ? This Earth-coded stuff is ALL over genshin not only Natlan. Also every game and every story ever has relation to Earth... you can't make something out of nothing most of the time you always relate it to reality. So it's not immersion breaking at all because if you think like that then all of the Genshin Nations are immersion breaking. Everyone just hates her bike because her kit is not what people wanted and shifted their hate to the bike subconsciously. You might deny that but it's true.

@@dergrive88 the earth coding in other regions is well developed for that region. Sumeru, as soon as we enter the city we learn about akasha terminals and see all npcs using them. In fontaine we steampunk and clockwork devices everywhere. But we get to natlan, the npc are all on foot or riding hot air balloons doing graffiti, but chaska somehow has an 8 foot tall revolver gun that she stands on to fly? There is not one single paved road in natlan, but the archon rides a modern street bike? We never saw chaska or mavuika use their "ancient dragon tech" in any cut scenes. I dont care if she is on field dps carry, or off field dps support. I don't want to drive around on a motorcycle to run over hilichurls and treasure hoarders. If I wanted that kind of gameplay, I'd load up grand theft auto. Oh and her bike can drive on water, up walls, and sprouts jetpack vents to fly. Almost all the natlan traversal mechanics have been absolutely trash if you play on mobile. So yeah, I hate motorcycle impact. There is still time to improve, but so far,, natlan has been hands down the worst gameplay/character mechanics nation so far.
With Mavuika, Its just that the whole bike thing is so off putting for me in terms of genshin. Don't get me wrong i am sure she is a great character but I cannot fight with a flying bike 😭. Plus citlali can buff my yoimiya and arlecchino so feels like a better investment (and she cute).
if you’re using her as a sub-dps (which i’m assuming you are since nobody asked for the 50th pyro main dps) then you don’t see the bike during the skill and only for a split second during her burst
I mean, Citlali fights with a flying Pillow, is that any less goofy when you really think about it? Nothing about her character story leading up to this point led us to believe her fighting style would be so silly and cute. It's like the people who designed her and the people who wrote her were in separate buildings and never talked. That said, I still love her and she'll be the first Natlan character I care enough to pull for.
@@KahlevN The main difference is mavuika is a dps which means she has alot more field time then citlali (according to the leaks) and tbh most of the natlan character seems quite out of place to me due to their different 'gadgets'. If you show someone with a mind set of 1.0 genshin the kit of mavuika or chasca they will explode lol.
@@Lily-ed9ss You can argue this about the bond of life for Fontaine. I joined just when 4.1 dropped, saw the new mechanics and thought "but why" but everyone ate it up. I buy Natlan's gadgets more given that the place they have in world explains it more than Bond of Life is. They're created by the shade of life but why do they have a bond of life? What in their location says that mechanic is natural? As opposed to Natlan where they built their nation on top of a hyper technology civilization and built their tech *based* on it.
Hoyo really jumped the shark with this one. Archons have always been great supports with outstanding off-field capabilities and the potential to be great on-fielders too, often with constellations. That Pyro especially needed someone like that and Hoyo chose to do otherwise with the PYRO ARCHON of all people, I'm not surprised there's been this rejection.
But like Pyro’s identity is all about damage. As an archon, she needed to embody this identity. We‘ll probably have another character to replace Bennett or Xiangling in the future (or I hope)

You may not be underestimating her damage but you ARE underestimating her supporting abilities simply because HER damage is higher when on field
I'm getting Mavuika first for sure, then Citlali. Only started playing Genshin like 4 months ago so I have no good Pyro main DPS currently, so Mavuika will be a great addition to my roster. Then I will be getting Citlali afterward as I already got Chasca and Citlali seems like a good teammate for her, giving her cryo bullets, a shield for interruption resistance while flying, and res shred for hydro and pyro to boost the damage of Chasca's converted pyro and hydro bullets.
I remember reading a comment about Mavuika somewhere. I'm paraphrasing it, "she's a great support by doing higher damage, so you don't have to swap to your main DPS" 😂
As an avid archon collector it just feels bad that I want Citlali more than Mavuika. Like it shouldn't have been something that we'd ever have to think hard about. But no, time to build a 6th onfield pyro dps on my acc. 💀💀

To gain only the buff from her burst and pyro application from her skill, my main dps will shine. Nah, she will be sustainer for me. Citlali is super appealing as a character and is less likely to re-run as soon as Mavuika. I think that makes her a more popular pull this time around. Ask all the people who wish they pulled for wriothesley.
Im gonna get citlali for her design and personality and if previous cryo characters lack of reruns is any indication, then i gotta get her now while i have the chance. Besides the archons usually rerun in around 4 patches sine hoyo knows they will sell well
she should have been a replacement for both xiangling and bennett, a strong off field dps that buffs the current character without circle impact so we can finally banish bennet ton the shadow realm
As a Gaming main, I'm super hyped for Citlali. I'm just not sure whether I want to replace Jean (provides a bunch of fanfare stacks), or Bennet (provides buffs).
I'd replace Jean, as much as I adore her. If you don't mind crippling her shield, you can run prototype amber (and a healing circle even) on Citlali for fanfare stacks; that's what I'm doing for Neuvilette. Her shield isn't that amazing anyway, and PA really helps guarantee bursts on cooldown.
They could have given her the furina treatment. Focus on one thing. Furina is a support and that's what people wanted from mavuika. But with higher constellations, that role shift. C6 main dps furina is a monster. Not to mention, we have already got TWO main dps that really want a great natlan pyro support. One deals with vape and the other burgeon. It only made sense for her to be more in the support role like all other archons
She absolutely requires only Xilonen, stop spreading misinformation. 2nd Natlan character required is Mavuika herself. Citlali is on the level of 4* characters according to beta testers.
@shelter3408 Our local Polish Genshin youtuber Has beta testers on current beta, they say Mavuika will destroy every dps and Citlali is underwhelming even after buffs, she's more like 4*
I'm more excited about Pyro traveler than either of them, because it's a free character I can use in my Raiden overload team and I'm saving for weapons at this point anyway.
I never understood why people even pull for weapons. You can clear everything with 4 star weapons and its much better to have diferent characters to play/try and have fun

If there is a character they really really like, they get their weapon too because they like that character/ want to use them a lot. I pulled for Arlecchino and her Scythe because it's good and looks cool as hell.

Its aesthetics, I think if Mauvuika rode a red dragon instead of a bike a lot more people would pull for her, get rid of the bloody bike! I’m going for Citlali.
After giving it some thoughts i think pulling for mavuika just for her to support other main dps is like someone buying a high performance sport bike only to ride it in eco mode.
@@Wreckedandruinedand sure...but that's the cost opportunity. In the end you still pay the same price. So it just depends on what you can afford or what you think it gives for the price.
Definitely, everyone just don't like having yet ANOTHER pyro dps. Even a dedicated healer buffer would be good: Bennett has trouble working with c0 or c1 Furina because you have to balance between 50 to 70% HP and only the on-field character. Chevreuse does heal greatly, but her buffs are locked behind playing overload-exclusive teams.Etc... Shielders? Thoma kinda sucks in this role. Even if there's Tankfei, if they could make an explosive shield that deals Aoe damage around depending on its remaining health, that would be such a good concept. You can get damage, and application, and even if you get hit the main consequence will just be lowering your off-field damage. So dodging even with a shield would be useful, but it's not the end of the world if you can't pull it off. The perfect way to learn how to dodge while still being protected. Etc... But the main reason is... People like their pyro dps characters. There are already so many. People who like mister Batman got one. There's Hu Tao who's still great, and people who wanted meta got Arlecchino. Therre's people who like Arlecchino as a chharacter too. Even Lyney is still top-tier. So, getting Mavuika will kinda make this other character you REALLY like kinda... a bit bad to play because you always have in mind that you got a Mavuika. Whenever you'd struggle in the abyss, you'd be tempted to pull out the Mavuika. And we don't want that, it's gonna feel like trash if this mentality settles in. We're not all stupid, we know what's gonna happen. So we just don't want a Mavuika in the first place. There were so many things to do with a new pyro character, and they blew it up. That's to be expected, but they thought they could just pull the "hoho we're so smart by imitating all the other gacha companies with powercreep let's do it people won't notice right?" card.
Thoma's a great shielder. He just needs normal attacks. But he's got a refreshing shield that stacks with himself. It's also great with EM on a Chev team.
@@amandaslough125 yes. It's just that it's a weakness, if you receive a big hit before you could stack his shields, the entire thing is ruined. You can't really judge this stacking shield only by its maximum efficiency near the end of the rotation.
I needed off field pyro for my Mualani, if Mavuika isnt giving me that, her value drops tremendously. I really dont understand why they released a bunch of characters that need pyro reactions, and then released the archon as not an off field pyro applicator. Its just wild to me.
Mavuika is pretty much everything I don't want. Citlali will be an infinitley better addition to my team. Mavuika is the only archon I will never use. I am all around disappointed with her.
The archon being even close to a "who really needs this" character is just beyond wild to me. Hopefully the outlook on her improves as more people start to experiment
As a Neuvillette main, I’m very disappointed in Mavuika’s support capabilities for him, so Citlali all the way Shame devs had to put ICD in Neuvi’s kit as well. I don’t care about the motorcycle, if Mavuika had Nahida level application and was riding a unicycle I would be on board 100 percent
Of course we're more interested in Citlali. Mavuika is ANOTHER pyro main-DPS, we already have 7 pyro 5*, and all are main-DPS. Granted, Dehya can support but her burst is typical of a main-DPS. So would you rather : -An 8th pyro Main-DPS. -An buffer to all the pyro Main-DPS you already own. The answer is pretty obvious, right ?
Honestly, I think something to consider is to what degree the teams are buffed. Mauvika buffing some teams as an off field, is honestly moreso because we just don't have many off field for her to contend with, its not HARD for her to buff some of those teams. Because of that, I honestly don't think shes worth pulling as off field pyro because I think the "buff" to most of the teams she is buffing isn't significant. Yeah, you can potentially run her on Cinder City, but all you need is an off field pyro to ever be introduced that actually is meant to be good at the role, and she will automatically lose that value. Citlali meanwhile is just a generally really good option for team building, whose off field role is potentially threatened extremely easily if Hoyo ever decides to stop randomly being stubborn about off field pyro units. Now, if you're viewing Mauvika off field as a BONUS on top of her on field and that's playing into your decision making, fair, but as just a purely off field worth, I'd say Mauvika is actually rather low value even if she does improve teams, because she improves them in the most straight forward and easily replaceable fashion (She just does more damage then XL lol) As one last final point, I could see people not being interested in Mauvika as on field because most players already have potentially an assortment of on field pyro units. Having characters already competing for play time makes those characters feel worse in retrospect, so why exaggerate the problem?

Citlali all the way. Mavuika _will have_ a rerun in a few months. Knowing Hoyo, Citlali will be locked into Meropide with the rest of cryos for eternity.
As of now i'm not 100% sure but in v1 beta. Whenever u played on fielders like klee, ayato, wanderer etc etc with mavuika if u were to use mavuika instead of ur on fielder ur teamdamage would be higher in their teams 😭😭
Citlali seems to be a unique shielder with her elemental mastery scaling, and gives more PECH options as a support. But Mavuika so many people were hoping she'd be MORE off-field than she is, but she seems to do a lot more damage on-field, but we already have Arlecchino... and honestly? If I had to choose between a badass scythe wielder or someone who uses a motorcycle to fight???? Yeah... I prefer Arlecchino haha. I hope Mavuika gives enough Pyro off-field to at least act as a replacement in MOST xianglang teams (even SOME maybe) or Pyro Traveler, but so far it sounds like they won't be quite as much. Your videos are what's giving me a lot of hope right now! Most other youtubers I've noticed seem to be saying she doesn't do near enough to swap out Xiang.
Agreed, I was so happy to see Lan Yan's animations, my hope that hoyo can still make normal (aka elegant and coherent looking) animations and outfits is such a relief. I can't wait for Lan Yan and PMC. I'm saving for Capitano and otherwise just Snezhnaya for now. The only Natlan character I own so far is the free Kachina lol. Sitting on nearly 700 pulls now.

Why no one talking about citlali is tailor made for mavuika(if you not have xilonen). just look at her kit, the only thing she does is is playing with night soul point. with a thin paper shield and tiny buff.
Citlali really isn't. I am getting her for plunge Hu Tao. It will allow me to run Furina with Neuvillette. Shes also really good with Arlecchino and Neuvilette.

If there is anything I learned from Wriothesley's banner and the absolute crickets from Hoyo on Shenhe, Ganyu, and Ayaka, it's that if I have even a PASSING interest in Citlali then I better devote my all to getting her and never, ever expect to get blessed with a rerun.
They’re both cool. I really enjoy Citlalis design and animations. Not enough pink and purple themed characters, plus Citlali has such a big personality she’s hard not to enjoy. Gotta pull for her. I do wish she buffed cryo though.
About your intro, I have 0 hype for Mavuika and something like a 10% hype for citlali. So I think I will get Citlali in future rerun, and completely skip Mavuika, I literally don't care about the 100th Pyro dps and pyro traveler will be enough for my kinich to shine (yes I know mavuika does more DMG, but I rather make Kinich shine than having her steal the show)
Probably skipping this whole patch. Not really interested in another Pyro DPS and Citlali’s kit disappoints me because she buffs already S tier units like Arlecchino instead of elevating her element as a whole 😂

i have WAAAY too many pyro dps characters to not prioritize the granny that buffs them, I dont need another pyro dps. Klee may not be as strong as mavuika, but how close can she get with grannys help? I'm curious to see for myself. Thats why i'm skippin the arcon

I don't think Mavuika will feel good as a sub-dps with non-Natlan-characters. You want to give her more field time if she can deal equal or even more damage than the main dps. Otherwise she fells wasted. But Natlan main dps will increase the damage of her burst while they are using her nightsoul points. Probably this will balance Mavuikas lower time on-field.
Jello finally opening his eyes to the reality because of viewers stats. Yeah, wake up, veterans players are mostly disappointed ny Mav. She's been designed for new players who only have Natlan characters and to make whales waste their primogems on Xilo, Mav and Citlali in order to reach the "new absolute meta team". No thanks, we already have Hu Tao, Arle or XL and we don't want to all in into a character which roles is already filled and who needs Xilonen to be really efficient. Hoyo's greed has ruined it all once again. And the worst part is they thought we wouldn't notice.
As a veteran player, I'm disappointed with Mavuika, because I wanted a pyro sub dps that was good with many characters I had before Natlan and even before Fontaine too. To me, she doesn't seem meta-shifting enough to prioritize her and I prefer Citlali for now. I have characters who can be good with Citlali, others with Mavuika, some with both and others who you don't know if they are good with them or not.
Now that the dust is (probably) settled on Mauv changes, can she at least 1:1 replace Xiangling for off field at C0? Dehya tier off field isn’t worth it for me and good lord I don’t need another on field pyro
People are just doomposting. In most teams, she is good at being an offielder. The only ppaces where she isn't are teams that need an unreasonably large pyro app.
She is just a slightly better xiangling with massive caveats of needing natlan units. Without Xilonen or Citlali, good luck charging her burst to decent amount When we get Schneznaya or Khaenriah units, she is gonna be useless cos she needs to consume nightsoul points from natlan units..
Most characters actually don't need Xiangling's amount of pyro application. I have both Thoma and Dehya maxed, and any on fielder I have has worked fine with either one, with a slight leaning towards Dehya being more useful. Mavuika actually does slightly more damage than Xiangling when off field and has Arlecchino damage overall as on field. She'll be perfectly fine as a character wherever you use her if pulled.
Mavuika requiring nightsoul characters to engage her kit is the main reason I'm pulling Citlali; that, and both Arle and Neuv are my mains. So Citlali was always going to win!
Good list but i would personally add rizzly and ganyu to the mavuika list because most of their team have a tight rotation with xangling and mavuika will most likely be an upgrade for them. She should provide enough pyro for both of them to melt. Not to mention the scrols set buff for both of them.
If anything mavuika makes the rotations even tighter because of her slower pyro app 😭 Rizzley best team is with furina, mavuikas pyro is too slow for rizzley to melt in that team mavuikas pyro app is also slow for ganyu so u either delay ur shots (reducing ur dmg by a lot) or u just don't melt half ur hits (reducing ur dmg by a lot)
@@ISMythixeven if she doesn't become BiSz giving flexibility to a character is still a buff, mavuika melt will give wriothesley a new team without furina, allowing him to run parallel in abyss with characters such as Neuvilette, Cyno or Chasca who want Furina even more than Wrio.
@ISMythix ganyu is understandable since i don't have her so i cannot say without surety. But even if rizzly's best team has furina you will be able to get 40% elemental damage bonus from mavuika and plus she will improve the teams overall performance because of the scrolls set ( either hydro or cryo ).
I already have arlecchino and there is still hutao and lyney, even diluc and gaming if you pair them with xianyun I don't want another infield pyro DPS I want either an offield pyro applicator and sub dps or a pyro buffer, they chose to give her the lamest role they could've (although i still get her because i like her character)

For Citlali being more popular in viewership right now: a LOT of people pulled for Arlecchino, and pulling for a replacement is just a lot less appealing than pulling for a team upgrade, especially an upgrade with a shield, and especially one that will never get a rerun on account of being Cryo. People just can’t risk the skip.

Another on field pyro DPS (and DPS powercreep) was literally the last thing a lot of people wanted. Yeah you can use her in some other roles, but it feels kinda dumb knowing how strong she is as a DPS. Hoyo kinda painted themselves into a corner with this one for not giving us Bennett or Xiangling replacements for so long, as well as releasing way too many pyro DPSs.

It only depends if you want more pyro application or more dmg and buffs. It just sucks that she won't be able to burst every rotation without a natlan character 😢.
People wanted an off-field Xiangling replacement/sidegrade and the made Mauvuika another onfielder with a 'slightly silly' attacking method.
If she was more like Nahida and Raiden I think people would be more excited, even despite the controversial motorcycle.
Thats the thing... she is though her offield is a damage upgrade frok XL in most teams, just not by a whole lot and onfielding her is better. But if you just keep her offield and use burst it is generally better then XL for most teams dont need that much pyro application and her burst hit makes up for any lost damage from the main dps from lost application. Its just its not better then XL by as big of a gap aa people wanted

@@dergrive88 What's wrong with that motorcycle.... IS THAT IT'S A FREAKING MOTORCYCLE. Yes there are other vehicles like the ones you see in Fontaine but Mavuika's bike is the only we've seen so far. Maybe Shnezhnaya has the answers, maybe it's from Khaenri'ah, we still don't know but it just looks out of place. Honestly, I would love an armored horse though.
I think its down to pyro fatigue. There are so many meta pyro characters right now and people are tired of it, whereas cryo has been ignored for ages so the idea of a new cryo 5 star coming out is exciting. Plus some people aren't vibing with Mauvuika's design (the bike). Also we know the Arlecchino re-run is happening soon and so many people love her and would rather pull for her instead.

The only reason I would consider more dps is theater but I have yoimiya klee and Dehya so- eh
3 problems. Archon status means she needs to be top level in one of or multiple of 3 categories: Meta, distinction/replacibility, or offer something new. Zhongli is a good example where nobody will ever be able to replace the amount of shield he gives he is distinct. Nahida is similarly distinct and offered something completely new (technically dendro offered something new but she was the only one to really offer off field dendro app at her level and still is thus she was new at release). Furina and Raiden though generic were also game breaking to the point they not only dominated the meta but completely shifted the meta. Shenhe and Mika are great examples of being so specific that nobody can replace what they do and they aren’t even Archons.
Mav is strong but not enough to change the meta, only fit into it (ex. Of changing meta is Zhongli making people like Hu Tao and Ganyu basically incredibly effortless to play and clear things quickly, Nahida making every dendro comp possible, Raiden enabling dmg for high energy multi element consistent and fast rotations, Kaz consolidating CC and dmg amp for all nuke comps for like 3 years). She is unique by design but people get her design when they pull her, the pulling only offers you access to in game design aka her attack, walking, idle, and technically voice lines which are usually available on TH-cam - basically to say people who dislike her which is many obviously dislike the fact her bike dominates her gameplay, they wanted to pull for her animations not her bike’s animations… And thirdly of course, she offers NO new roles or possible playstyles, like even Emilie offers new teams and Mav just doesn’t…
Mav isn’t bad and people who want her should pull for her but she is certainly mismatched with the expectations of an Archon and value for an account which is why she isn’t as beloved nor hyped like other Archons have been (Raiden in particular since that’s who is most comparable). Why pull Mav for any other reason besides waifu or design or lacking a built pyro dps?

The only issue is that he was indirectly nerfed just like Ayaka where it’s only situationally usable with lightweight trash mobs and when it is usable it’s OP, but outside of those situations his burst literally doesn’t work.

Im honestly convinced that its because of MiHoyo's handling of Cryo characters, its probable that more people are looking to see if a Cryo Limited is worth pulling NOW instead of whenever Hoyo decides to release the Cryo element from the dungeon for their rerun, Mavuika will ALWAYS rerun purely because of her "archon" status. You’ll most likely need Shenhe on top of it but between both you would most certainly be able to do it. In fact I plan to use Bennett, Cit, Shenhe, and Arle. Arle skill, Bennett burst, Cit/Shenhe burst and skills, Arle burst. And if they aren’t dead Arle Na’s for a few seconds should do the trick. I imagine though if Cit can single-handedly fill Mav’s meter she’ll be a stronger option but with Arle’s numbers it should be a marginal difference at C0 if not practically the same
Dude Mavuika is an archon. Her banner will eventually run again. Citlali is a Cryo character. She’ll go in the vault with Wriothesley and Shenhe for the next five to ten years. I’m def pulling for Citlali.
I didn't cared For Citlali at first, but after getting to know her in the story, I fell in love with the granny
I agree, her personality really shone through in the AQ and event. I don't really think that was the case for Mauvie though. She feels really flat as a character.
But also, I thought Citlali had a really nice design from the start.

My problems with Mauvika are:
1. She's a dps. We have ENOUGH of pryo dps while we have only ONE off-field pryo. Its simple about supply-demand.
2. There's nothing meta-defining about her. Furina is broken support, aside from her buff, she makes MH accessible for rest of the genshin cast. Nahida still is the best dendro support, Venti still has the best cc, etc. But what does Mauvika does? another pyro dps?
I was hoping she could make the obsidian codex accessible for rest of the cast, but nope.
3. Her character design itself is meh to me. Yes her outfit and bike is hot, but does it make any sense? no. does it look cohesive and fit natlan-teyvat world? No.
(i could say the same about rest of natlan units too).
1. She is a better xiangling in terms of damage and she brings buffs, she just also outdpses every single carry that would use xiangling if you were to onfield her instead.
2. Mavuika is literally a better C0 Furina and scales equally well with cons, C2 providing def shred which is notoriously scarce.
3. So all the natlan units don't fit natlan or they just dont fit your vision of natlan?

also the reason people are more interested in Citlali is because
1) Mavuika is ANOTHER onfielder focused DPS *first* with off field *second* while most people wanted it the other way around. Citlali just offers more potential uses for more characters that REALLY need buffs like Yoimiya.
2) Design. Citlali's aesthetic design is just much more coherent with Natlan's inspirations and culture. Mavuika and her bike are a thorn in a LOT of people's eyes for good reasons.
3) Why would you want to pull Mavuika, a limited 5 star, for off field use when we get Pyro Traveler for free who is already a Xiangling sidegrade to slight upgrade? That's like running Raiden as a Hyperbloom bot when you literally have Shinobu sitting on the bench in your character roster.
Because Fire Traveler doesn't seem that good compared to Mavuika
@@lawrencehortizuela4978 They do roughly the same damage as Xiangling, aren't tied to other Natlan characters and give a damage bonus from their C1. Pyro Traveler is a sufficient and far cheaper option than Mavuika especially if you already have a 5 star Pyro DPS like Arle or Hu Tao.

I am more hype for citlali for 2 reasons. 1)Archons get regular reruns, meanwhile look at wriothsley and shenhe, if i skip citlali who knows if ill get another chance before celestia to pull again. 2) i HATE motorcycle impact.

@@dergrive88 the earth coding in other regions is well developed for that region. Sumeru, as soon as we enter the city we learn about akasha terminals and see all npcs using them. In fontaine we steampunk and clockwork devices everywhere. But we get to natlan, the npc are all on foot or riding hot air balloons doing graffiti, but chaska somehow has an 8 foot tall revolver gun that she stands on to fly? There is not one single paved road in natlan, but the archon rides a modern street bike? We never saw chaska or mavuika use their "ancient dragon tech" in any cut scenes.
I dont care if she is on field dps carry, or off field dps support. I don't want to drive around on a motorcycle to run over hilichurls and treasure hoarders. If I wanted that kind of gameplay, I'd load up grand theft auto. Oh and her bike can drive on water, up walls, and sprouts jetpack vents to fly. Almost all the natlan traversal mechanics have been absolutely trash if you play on mobile. So yeah, I hate motorcycle impact. There is still time to improve, but so far,, natlan has been hands down the worst gameplay/character mechanics nation so far.

With Mavuika, Its just that the whole bike thing is so off putting for me in terms of genshin. Don't get me wrong i am sure she is a great character but I cannot fight with a flying bike 😭. Plus citlali can buff my yoimiya and arlecchino so feels like a better investment (and she cute).
if you’re using her as a sub-dps (which i’m assuming you are since nobody asked for the 50th pyro main dps) then you don’t see the bike during the skill and only for a split second during her burst
I mean, Citlali fights with a flying Pillow, is that any less goofy when you really think about it? Nothing about her character story leading up to this point led us to believe her fighting style would be so silly and cute. It's like the people who designed her and the people who wrote her were in separate buildings and never talked.
That said, I still love her and she'll be the first Natlan character I care enough to pull for.
@@KahlevN The main difference is mavuika is a dps which means she has alot more field time then citlali (according to the leaks) and tbh most of the natlan character seems quite out of place to me due to their different 'gadgets'. If you show someone with a mind set of 1.0 genshin the kit of mavuika or chasca they will explode lol.

I buy Natlan's gadgets more given that the place they have in world explains it more than Bond of Life is. They're created by the shade of life but why do they have a bond of life? What in their location says that mechanic is natural? As opposed to Natlan where they built their nation on top of a hyper technology civilization and built their tech *based* on it.
Hoyo really jumped the shark with this one. Archons have always been great supports with outstanding off-field capabilities and the potential to be great on-fielders too, often with constellations. That Pyro especially needed someone like that and Hoyo chose to do otherwise with the PYRO ARCHON of all people, I'm not surprised there's been this rejection.
But like Pyro’s identity is all about damage. As an archon, she needed to embody this identity. We‘ll probably have another character to replace Bennett or Xiangling in the future (or I hope)

The best way to play Mavuika for Mavuika is an on field dps
But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t work the other way, she still has off field application, buffing, and decent damage all off field. You may not be underestimating her damage but you ARE underestimating her supporting abilities simply because HER damage is higher when on field
I'm getting Mavuika first for sure, then Citlali. Only started playing Genshin like 4 months ago so I have no good Pyro main DPS currently, so Mavuika will be a great addition to my roster. Then I will be getting Citlali afterward as I already got Chasca and Citlali seems like a good teammate for her, giving her cryo bullets, a shield for interruption resistance while flying, and res shred for hydro and pyro to boost the damage of Chasca's converted pyro and hydro bullets.
Yeah muavika seems to be the best for people with newer accoukts that have no pyro dps, good luck getting both

As a Gaming main, I'm super hyped for Citlali. I'm just not sure whether I want to replace Jean (provides a bunch of fanfare stacks), or Bennet (provides buffs).
I'd replace Jean, as much as I adore her. If you don't mind crippling her shield, you can run prototype amber (and a healing circle even) on Citlali for fanfare stacks; that's what I'm doing for Neuvilette. Her shield isn't that amazing anyway, and PA really helps guarantee bursts on cooldown.
They could have given her the furina treatment. Focus on one thing. Furina is a support and that's what people wanted from mavuika. But with higher constellations, that role shift. C6 main dps furina is a monster. Not to mention, we have already got TWO main dps that really want a great natlan pyro support. One deals with vape and the other burgeon. It only made sense for her to be more in the support role like all other archons
She works for all Natlan character perfectly well as an offielder.
I am going for both mommy and granny. I don’t even care if Citlali is trash. I absolutely adore her as a character and I want her in my roster.
The issue with Mavuika is that she requires two Natlan characters to achieve her full damage potential
She absolutely requires only Xilonen, stop spreading misinformation. 2nd Natlan character required is Mavuika herself.
Citlali is on the level of 4* characters according to beta testers.

One thing I'm not very hype about is the motorcycle. I just don't like the aesthetic of using it for attacks.
Its aesthetics, I think if Mauvuika rode a red dragon instead of a bike a lot more people would pull for her, get rid of the bloody bike! I’m going for Citlali.

As a Chasca main it will be nice to have full interruption resistance with a damage boost from Citlali.
After giving it some thoughts i think pulling for mavuika just for her to support other main dps is like someone buying a high performance sport bike only to ride it in eco mode.

Off field characters are always more valuable than on fielders.
Definitely, everyone just don't like having yet ANOTHER pyro dps.
Even a dedicated healer buffer would be good: Bennett has trouble working with c0 or c1 Furina because you have to balance between 50 to 70% HP and only the on-field character. Chevreuse does heal greatly, but her buffs are locked behind playing overload-exclusive teams.Etc...
Shielders? Thoma kinda sucks in this role. Even if there's Tankfei, if they could make an explosive shield that deals Aoe damage around depending on its remaining health, that would be such a good concept. You can get damage, and application, and even if you get hit the main consequence will just be lowering your off-field damage. So dodging even with a shield would be useful, but it's not the end of the world if you can't pull it off. The perfect way to learn how to dodge while still being protected. Etc...
But the main reason is... People like their pyro dps characters. There are already so many. People who like mister Batman got one. There's Hu Tao who's still great, and people who wanted meta got Arlecchino. Therre's people who like Arlecchino as a chharacter too. Even Lyney is still top-tier.
So, getting Mavuika will kinda make this other character you REALLY like kinda... a bit bad to play because you always have in mind that you got a Mavuika. Whenever you'd struggle in the abyss, you'd be tempted to pull out the Mavuika. And we don't want that, it's gonna feel like trash if this mentality settles in. We're not all stupid, we know what's gonna happen. So we just don't want a Mavuika in the first place.
There were so many things to do with a new pyro character, and they blew it up. That's to be expected, but they thought they could just pull the "hoho we're so smart by imitating all the other gacha companies with powercreep let's do it people won't notice right?" card.
Thoma's a great shielder. He just needs normal attacks. But he's got a refreshing shield that stacks with himself. It's also great with EM on a Chev team.
@@amandaslough125 yes. It's just that it's a weakness, if you receive a big hit before you could stack his shields, the entire thing is ruined. You can't really judge this stacking shield only by its maximum efficiency near the end of the rotation.
I needed off field pyro for my Mualani, if Mavuika isnt giving me that, her value drops tremendously. I really dont understand why they released a bunch of characters that need pyro reactions, and then released the archon as not an off field pyro applicator. Its just wild to me.
Mavuika is pretty much everything I don't want. Citlali will be an infinitley better addition to my team. Mavuika is the only archon I will never use. I am all around disappointed with her.
The archon being even close to a "who really needs this" character is just beyond wild to me. Hopefully the outlook on her improves as more people start to experiment

Honestly, I think something to consider is to what degree the teams are buffed.
Mauvika buffing some teams as an off field, is honestly moreso because we just don't have many off field for her to contend with, its not HARD for her to buff some of those teams. Because of that, I honestly don't think shes worth pulling as off field pyro because I think the "buff" to most of the teams she is buffing isn't significant. Yeah, you can potentially run her on Cinder City, but all you need is an off field pyro to ever be introduced that actually is meant to be good at the role, and she will automatically lose that value.
Citlali meanwhile is just a generally really good option for team building, whose off field role is potentially threatened extremely easily if Hoyo ever decides to stop randomly being stubborn about off field pyro units.
Now, if you're viewing Mauvika off field as a BONUS on top of her on field and that's playing into your decision making, fair, but as just a purely off field worth, I'd say Mauvika is actually rather low value even if she does improve teams, because she improves them in the most straight forward and easily replaceable fashion (She just does more damage then XL lol)
As one last final point, I could see people not being interested in Mauvika as on field because most players already have potentially an assortment of on field pyro units. Having characters already competing for play time makes those characters feel worse in retrospect, so why exaggerate the problem?

7:41 If you are using Yelan on DPS Mavuika teams then Mavuika cannot vape her hits because her optimal combos include Charged attacks and Mavuika cannot trigger Yelan's coordinated attack.
True, however I am quite sure that non charged attack vaporized are better than non vaporized charged attacks. So I think both are viable.

As of now i'm not 100% sure but in v1 beta. Whenever u played on fielders like klee, ayato, wanderer etc etc with mavuika if u were to use mavuika instead of ur on fielder ur teamdamage would be higher in their teams 😭😭
Citlali seems to be a unique shielder with her elemental mastery scaling, and gives more PECH options as a support. But Mavuika so many people were hoping she'd be MORE off-field than she is, but she seems to do a lot more damage on-field, but we already have Arlecchino... and honestly? If I had to choose between a badass scythe wielder or someone who uses a motorcycle to fight???? Yeah... I prefer Arlecchino haha.
I hope Mavuika gives enough Pyro off-field to at least act as a replacement in MOST xianglang teams (even SOME maybe) or Pyro Traveler, but so far it sounds like they won't be quite as much. Your videos are what's giving me a lot of hope right now! Most other youtubers I've noticed seem to be saying she doesn't do near enough to swap out Xiang.

About your intro, I have 0 hype for Mavuika and something like a 10% hype for citlali. So I think I will get Citlali in future rerun, and completely skip Mavuika, I literally don't care about the 100th Pyro dps and pyro traveler will be enough for my kinich to shine (yes I know mavuika does more DMG, but I rather make Kinich shine than having her steal the show)

I don't think Mavuika will feel good as a sub-dps with non-Natlan-characters. You want to give her more field time if she can deal equal or even more damage than the main dps. Otherwise she fells wasted. But Natlan main dps will increase the damage of her burst while they are using her nightsoul points. Probably this will balance Mavuikas lower time on-field.

As a veteran player, I'm disappointed with Mavuika, because I wanted a pyro sub dps that was good with many characters I had before Natlan and even before Fontaine too.
To me, she doesn't seem meta-shifting enough to prioritize her and I prefer Citlali for now.
I have characters who can be good with Citlali, others with Mavuika, some with both and others who you don't know if they are good with them or not.
Now that the dust is (probably) settled on Mauv changes, can she at least 1:1 replace Xiangling for off field at C0? Dehya tier off field isn’t worth it for me and good lord I don’t need another on field pyro
People are just doomposting. In most teams, she is good at being an offielder. The only ppaces where she isn't are teams that need an unreasonably large pyro app.
She is just a slightly better xiangling with massive caveats of needing natlan units.
Without Xilonen or Citlali, good luck charging her burst to decent amount

Most characters actually don't need Xiangling's amount of pyro application. I have both Thoma and Dehya maxed, and any on fielder I have has worked fine with either one, with a slight leaning towards Dehya being more useful. Mavuika actually does slightly more damage than Xiangling when off field and has Arlecchino damage overall as on field. She'll be perfectly fine as a character wherever you use her if pulled.
Mavuika requiring nightsoul characters to engage her kit is the main reason I'm pulling Citlali; that, and both Arle and Neuv are my mains. So Citlali was always going to win!

One of the reasons to pull for Citlali is that Shenhe has ran twice and Wriothesley only once, personally I'm terrified. Cryo jail is real.
Good list but i would personally add rizzly and ganyu to the mavuika list because most of their team have a tight rotation with xangling and mavuika will most likely be an upgrade for them. She should provide enough pyro for both of them to melt. Not to mention the scrols set buff for both of them.
If anything mavuika makes the rotations even tighter because of her slower pyro app 😭
Rizzley best team is with furina, mavuikas pyro is too slow for rizzley to melt in that team
mavuikas pyro app is also slow for ganyu so u either delay ur shots (reducing ur dmg by a lot) or u just don't melt half ur hits (reducing ur dmg by a lot)
@@ISMythixeven if she doesn't become BiSz giving flexibility to a character is still a buff, mavuika melt will give wriothesley a new team without furina, allowing him to run parallel in abyss with characters such as Neuvilette, Cyno or Chasca who want Furina even more than Wrio.
@ISMythix ganyu is understandable since i don't have her so i cannot say without surety. But even if rizzly's best team has furina you will be able to get 40% elemental damage bonus from mavuika and plus she will improve the teams overall performance because of the scrolls set ( either hydro or cryo ).
I already have arlecchino and there is still hutao and lyney, even diluc and gaming if you pair them with xianyun
I don't want another infield pyro DPS I want either an offield pyro applicator and sub dps or a pyro buffer, they chose to give her the lamest role they could've (although i still get her because i like her character)
