Was just watching the other videos on the channel like "Worst x type", "worst overall pokemon" and all those. You know what might be an interesting video idea? Ranking current competitive top tier mons like Fluttermane or Gholdengo by how well they will do when Tera-Types are removed next gen.
I feel like this is type of video, while sounding cool, is bound to age terribly. After all, we don't know a. which of the mons will be back at all next gen, b. what nerfs they, their abilities or their attacks might get and c. what new game mechanic will be introduced, that might flip what's viable. So, the video would be based on a premise that's almost certainly untrue, while it's impossible to get it right.

I absolutely love Regulation H, seeing Wolfe live playing a Yanmega team is exactly how I imagine an In-Universe Pokemon tournament feels. This was my first time attending a Pokemon event live and it was seriously so much fun!! Enjoy your break Wolfe, here's to more victories in the new year!!
Spending 3 minutes explaining ow hard and important it is to win regionals, building up the guy who won 6. AND THEN IMMEDIATELY go "I've won 9" is DIABOLICAL. Truly the GOAT
hey wolfe & team! tysm for adding captions, i have a hard time processing audio (i can hear just fine, it just takes a minute for me to understand what is being said) and they help tremendously. i also find that i eat my dinner quicker. it normally takes me half an hour, but i got done in just 17 minutes. on top of this, i love binge watching these videos on a flare up day where my leg pain is really bad and im essentially bedridden. tldr: ty for improving this chronically ill guys quality of life.
Same, I'm just some individual who takes a little bit to understand what's being said sometimes, so it's great to see subtitles in case I can't understand or even can't turn up the audio on certain occasions
as a partially deaf person i feel this big time! sometimes it’s just easier to process something by reading it, and it’s always so nice when channels add captions (especially pokemon channels, because auto captions get so confused sometimes)
Wolfey, you should honestly feel very proud of this performance. Pokemon is an incredibly difficult game, and I think we get so used to seeing instant results online in victory posts or montages of months of effort that people are quick to call things 'washed' when realistically nothing and no one can dominate all the time. You're no more washed than Incineroar -- your skill is timeless, and you can continue succeeding in Pokemon for as long as you want to. For the time being, I hope you have a very refreshing holiday break, and that you can come back enjoying Pokemon every bit as much as you always have! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us all this time!!
he should be even more proud knowing he only lost to his extremely unlucky RNG letting his opponent recover from getting pummeled on a couple occasions
I know it probably makes prep a lot longer, but man I love terrestrialization as this gens gimmick just from watching perspective. Allows any pokemon to swing the battle when used properly, compared to "Oh, there's the pokemon with the most powerful gimick of this gen"
Dude, I swear the quality goes up every time you make a video. You've created a channel around a subject I never would've found otherwise and I'm glad I found your channel. Keep up the insane work!
Loving this editing style! Makes the battle much more understandable for a casual pokemon fan that doesn't play VGC. It also gave me a couple chuckles especially with the fashion wolfy appearance hahahah!

1:03 Trust me, they will never _not_ correct you on the correct way to pronounce Louisville, even if you say it perfectly according to their accents. Even the people in Louisville have 5 different ways to pronounce Louisville. My best suggestion on how to properly pronounce Louisville is to start mumbling at the end. Go "Lul-(mumbling noises)"
As a French speaker, I'd personally just pronounce it in the phoenetically correct way for French since "Louisville" is literally "Louis town" in French, dialects be damned 😂
@ I had a friend who would correct me every chance she got, until I pronounced it “LOU-IS-VILL-EHYY”. Nothing silent, every single letter pronounced. She stopped correcting me soon after that.

"Scarf Garchomp hits the field, and now I have a choice:" ahhhh I see what you did there
the green dragonfly (my favourite) finally gets recognized aftar 16 years
Was just watching the other videos on the channel like "Worst x type", "worst overall pokemon" and all those.
I suspect fluttermane will do just fine: Ghost/fairy is a solid type, it's stats are very optimized, and it's bonkers fast.
Bro truly has done it all used the most absurd pokemon, Make Sheer cold 100% accurate, Used extremely underpowered pokemon and managed to maintain a good position in every single tornument Wolf I respect you both as a Fan and a boy and I hope one day I am able to compete in a tornument and face you Your my inspiration and I thank you
I absolutely love Regulation H, seeing Wolfe live playing a Yanmega team is exactly how I imagine an In-Universe Pokemon tournament feels.
Truly the GOAT
i’m so proud of my boy yanmega and you who took him so far! these are always so hype and fun to watch ty as always!!
hey wolfe & team! tysm for adding captions, i have a hard time processing audio (i can hear just fine, it just takes a minute for me to understand what is being said) and they help tremendously. i also find that i eat my dinner quicker. it normally takes me half an hour, but i got done in just 17 minutes. on top of this, i love binge watching these videos on a flare up day where my leg pain is really bad and im essentially bedridden.
tldr: ty for improving this chronically ill guys quality of life.
This is probably the most beautiful comment I’ve read this year. 😊
wishing you all the best brother/sister ❤❤
Same, I'm just some individual who takes a little bit to understand what's being said sometimes, so it's great to see subtitles in case I can't understand or even can't turn up the audio on certain occasions
hope ure good! :)
as a partially deaf person i feel this big time! sometimes it’s just easier to process something by reading it, and it’s always so nice when channels add captions (especially pokemon channels, because auto captions get so confused sometimes)
as a brazilian, seeing "SAO PAOLO" is funny af
São Paulo virou são PAOLO, vamooo
dawg ok? like who gaf😭
@@isthatfn5656maybe seeing a city you are used to hear or read with a certain name being diffent is pretty funny?
@@ghastemp11 that quite literally was not what i was asking, try again later tho
@@ghastemp11 gringoles imbecil e mal amado não precisa ser respondido meu mano, fica ai o ensinamento kkkk
You know what else is timeless?
@_Toaster_ever since I was a jit?
he should be even more proud knowing he only lost to his extremely unlucky RNG letting his opponent recover from getting pummeled on a couple occasions
This!!
@_Toaster_LOW TAPER FADE
27:41 The Bridge on the River Kwai killed me. Fantastic editing on this one guys.
Thank you so much for always having accurate subtitles on all of your videos!! Really helps out those of us with a hard time hearing/understanding videos without subtitles.
Dude I swear the quality goes up every single video. Keep up the great work Wolfey (and team!)
I just saw that you won the Toronto Regionals and your 10th regional win! Congrats! I can't wait to see another video about yet another perish trap team :)
Wolfe’s such an accomplished player and has done so much for popularizing the competitive scene. Balancing high quality content with similarly high quality competitive performances must really be taxing.
I don’t know if it’s possible for him to go all the way and win worlds while also keeping the channel at this level of quality, but man am I rooting for him
As a louisvillian, I forgive you for your pronunciation. Keep it up, champ.
"IT'S LOO-VULL!"
"Oh I'm so sorry Louis Vile"
A louis-villain :)
"Lou-a-vul"
Are you also a villain named Louis?
@@kayagorzan yes that’s actually what I meant. I don’t even know where Louisville is. I’m just a simple evil man named Louis set on world domination
Hey, I’m the guy who beat Yotam in round 1- my crowning achievement in life so far. It was my first in-person match ever. I ended up going 5-3. I was the dude wearing an Adidas tracksuit. Nice seeing you in Louisville.
You know i know nothing of pokemons comp scene but every time one of your vids pop up on my feed im always way to damn impressed by your game plans.
the editing on your videos is usually great, but this video’s editing is ESPECIALLY impressive. love all the good work you and your team are putting in!
The bridge footage every time archaludon is mentioend is slaying me
The porygon counterplay is insane. Legitimately had me laughing.
11:42 "steel type as represented by this steel pipe" bars
I appreciate your attitude on the whole matter. I’ve started watching your tournament recaps just a little bit ago, but I like your out of the box teams. You are a world champ for a reason. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your content.
What kind of superhumans do you employ that can edit these hour long videos in such rapid succession??
Holy hell man.
"only one person has ever won 6 regionals
...
so anyway I've won 9"
Edit: the man won his 10th recently with a perishtrap. my goat
now it’s 10 :0
10
I don't know why, but Yanmega has always been one of my favourite pokemon, so seeing Wolfy use it in a tournament is definitely a welcome surprise
"I'm taking a few months off. I'm feeling a bit burnt out" Wolfe before he goes and wins the Toronto regionals
52:31
Wolfey: Exactly 1 hp
Me: Bro it says 5.
Give those editors a raise! This video is a piece of art
I love how this most recent format allows goofy choices like yanmega to be actually viable
BZZZZ!!! 16:15
Man I got to that part right before reading your comment and it killed me 😂
Him saying that caught me so off guard I had to bust out laughing 😂
Really love the editing team breaking out so many classic anime OST tracks-really gives the fights a lot of dramatic buildup!
Please never stop making these tournament videos. Seeing the process of the team and then the games is just incredible. It’s to the point now where if I know ur competing in a tourney I’ll avoid standings so I don’t spoil these incredible videos
Yooo this video is EXACTLY what I needed! Also MAN yanmega is cool, I'm SO exited for this
So glad you decided to take your TH-cam-ist work seriously. Your new videos are incredible.
15:00 Wofley really wanted to show off his ability to foreshadow today
I cannot express enough how much I love the use of season 1 anime battle music in your videos. It just hits different and gets me even more invested in the tournament. Just awesome!
The Editing on this Video is so fun to look at, the editors did an amazing Job! and Wolfey as well ofc on the recording and playing lmao!
finally a stalwart archaludon
it has been years
also 19:45 it's stamina not sturdy...
I just love all of the little editor's notes, they kill me every time, it adds even more to already amazing content, and I enjoy pausing and seeing what extra tidbits I can find in the video. The quality of this content is insane and I love how team/collaboration focused it is! You can see all the hard work put in every video and it's just so good! Thank you for putting so much into this!
IM SORRY THERE WAS A MAJOR TOURNAMENT IN MY HOMETOWN AND I NEVER KNEW?? I'm no longer a pokemon fan I guess 😢
truth hurts
I love the sidetrack to diss your hotel for price gouging bananas
Huge props to the editors, the sound mixing plus the inclusion of Colosseum tracks upped the suspense so much
