Custom Off-road Jeep mini Diorama | Scratch building and 3D modelling

  • This was a custom build of a real world Jeep Cherokee. I started with the '95 Cherokee Hot Wheels casting and overhauled it with a combination of scratch built and custom 3D modeled and printed parts. A lot of these techniques could be used to make Gaslands cars or vehicles for other tabletop games.

    “Cheating” would indicate that crafters are in some kind of competition with each other, which I think most of us know we are absolutely not. 3d printing is just another great tool in the crafting arsenal that lets us do things in a different way. 😁

    Outstanding build, the level of detail is just amazing. I wouldn't consider using printed parts on a build as cheating, there's still a lot of clean up and stuff to do to get them to look right, let face we all usually swap out the wheels on our builds for a set of more detailed ones.

    Looks Great! I like the use of a Hotwheels thrown up in the mix. And don't worry what haters are going to say. If you do all the work in blender and print it out yourself its still custom. I admire your skill with how clean you manage to keep these models. I started trashbashing Hotwheels cars into Gaslands inspired cars as a hobby last month and even though I'm still getting used to the super glue and baking soda stage, seeing your projects come together is super inspiring and definitely something to want to work towards!

    • @TrashbashMan
      @TrashbashMan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BPCustomCreations Hahaha you got that right! The amount of times where i've snipped a part off and spent a good while trying to find out where the hell it flew off to is probably 70% of my entire building process so far but when it eventually finally comes together it's pure bliss!

    • @earlware4322
      @earlware4322 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe that there is a direct correlation between how small a part is, how important it is to the build and how far it will travel at the most inopportune time. 😭😠

    • @earlware4322

      I was trying to figure out if having referrence pics made this easier than the total freedom of a scratchbuild.
      Having a real life example to replicate would simplify the design process, but also confine you to only build what the original had.
