This is my entry to February 2023 Four Horsemen invitational. The theme is Valentine's. I made a flying car out of the base vehicle using kit bashing and scratch building techniques. Let me know what you think!

Oh that is a fantastic build! has a great retro design and just looks fun.
Thank you! It's what I was going for
Duuuuude!!! That is next level. Really loved the video and the breakdown of the steps. I know that feeling of staring at a casting, digging through parts & grebels, and finding the story you want to tell. Really great execution and I enjoyed the narration as well. Just brought us along as thought it were happening live. Thanks for sharing your talent and passing along the inspiration. 👏
Thank you! I try to make all of my videos with a "how I did" versus a "how to" feel
The flying car vids are always fun to watch. It's such a simple conversion but it's so fun and well detailed.
Thanks! I'm glad they're fun to watch because they're fun to make too 👍
Such a fantastic build Ben! I'm always amazed at the creativity that comes out in all of your builds!
Thanks buddy!
😮 This is the first of your builds I’ve seen, and I’m just blown away! You’re definitely going to be an inspiration and push my boundaries as I embark on my own channel soon. Thanks for sharing your gift, I absolutely adore this build! 💙
You're too kind! I look forward to seeing what things you create 😁👍
knocked another build outta the park. looking forward to seeing the diorama vid
Thank you! It'll be in the works 👍
Another great build.. why have I never known about the four Horsemen builds before?!
They are pretty heavily on the side of dircast customs and not really gaslands but I am surprised you didn't know about it. I almost never have the base castings though 😂
Wow! That is an awesome build and great details for the fourhorsemen build Ben! You did outstanding & can't wait to watch more your videos! 🇺🇸 ☕
Thank you! Check them out, I have lots of diecast builds on my channel from the past year and a half 👍👍
The creativity required to end up with this amazing finished piece from the base car, is mind-blowing! I love it, keep it up!
Thank you! The answer is sleep deprivation 😂😂😴
The whole spirit of the vehicle is very positive :)
Cheers!
Looks amazing brother, glad to have ya as a guest
Thanks! I can't wait to see what everyone else did with the casting
This one is freaking awesome! Love it! The engine below was a great choice. Love the blue on the car. Really great work on this flying car.
Thank you! The engine is something I had rolling around in my head
Yo that is amazing BP! Can't wait to see the diorama
Thanks Nick! It should be a fun project too 👍
An amazing job, love the amount of detail you always put into these builds and where you got most of the parts as I never know what look out for to add to my greeblies box. Also I can't wait to see the diorama, when you make it.
Thank you! The vents and things are sets of parts from Kotobukiya MSG
but I don't know if you have access to them outsude of Japan.
I love everything about this build! Every piece you chose gives it just a little more life and detail! It's also super cool that you get to be part of the Four Horsemen this month! Thanks for another great video and great build!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed watching it take shape 👍
I really liked seeing your organization method, for some reason I love seeing how other crafters manage all their bits. I’m constantly refining my own organization methodolgy, so maybe I like getting ideas. Great build!
The organizers are 99% aspirational. Everything else is just literally strewn about my room and all of the table and floor. 😅 The beauty of being online is I can hide what I don't want to show.
I do need to get organized (says my brain) but I thrive in the kipple (says my muse)
This came out great. It's a really creative idea, too. Nice work!
Thank you!
Your flying car is awesome.
Great work as always.
SOOO KOOOOOLLLLLL !
Mike
Thank you Mike! I had to make another one sometime 😁👍
i like this build so much. Scratch building is always fascinating!
Also, i have a maybe usefull tip for the headlights. We often have to leave them hollow. Like without any glass covering, because it is tehcnilally hard and wont be looking nice to cut little flat circles from tranperent plastic. BUT you could probably try to either incert a little hot glue drops, or epoxy resin drops to fill the space. Or even layer a several layers of transperent glossy varnish ( that one that you apply with brush)
Thanks! As far as the headlights go I started with a small round ball filling each but chose not to include them in the end. I also didn't paint any taillights. Not every details is there and some of it is by choice but something I didn't mention in the video is that I started the build only 5 days before I uploaded this video 😅😅
Excruciatingly awesome build yo!
Hah thanks! 😁👍
Fantastic build Ben I love it brother. Great job man
Thanks Brandon! I appreciate it 👍
As always excellent work my friend looks amazing love it!!
Thank you 😁👍
I really appreciate the work you put into your projects and then, the level of production on your videos. Top notch! This one turned out incredible!
This one was a whirlwind! Thank you for recognizing the work that it takes 😅
Very cool!!!! 👍🙂
I'm glad you liked it!
@@BPCustomCreations 👍
Bravo, Ben! The concept and execution were really terrific. Love the final outcome (and your thumb as a palette too!). Thanks for being our Guest Horseman this month! 🍁☕👍
No left hand is safe from paint around here 😂
Have a good one Andrew! I'm looking forward to your video too 😎👍
Great bash! I see there's no landing gear, which makes me curious to see your diorama and why you built it this way. Very glad I found this channel.
Nice! I hope I can create what's in my head 😂
Good grief, Ben….this is spectacular. Such a fun video to watch. You are truly a master at your craft.
Thank you! It was about time I built another flying car
Love it!
Thanks!
Oh, cool! I remembered how a couple of years ago I made flying locomotives out of junk like this, based on Sunless skies)))
That sounds cool!
Amazing work
Thank you so much 👍👍
Great work !
Thanks!!
This is exactly the type of scratch build videp i have been lookjng for, for the last few weeks tl get some ideas on my flying space type car build
Thanks! These are always a fun project!
Super cool as always Ben
Thanks man!
Amazing 🔥🔥🔥 👍😎
Thank you Dane! 😎👍
Great build, these flying cars are so much fun! Probably going to attempt one myself soon, but i'm kinda wondering if we can make these floating by putting in strong magnets that repulse each other and tying the car down to the base on 4 points using thin fishing wire. Do you have any experience with this concept by chance?
Thanks! Have you seen my levitating Mazda build? I had it floating in the back. It isn't possible to fully levitate something with conventional magnets. You need a special electromagnet that's big and expensive.
Fantastic build is always there Ben can't wait to see the diorama you're going to do for that I said it once I'll say it a thousand times you are the diorama King how you keep up the good work my friend and God bless if you could please tell me how I could become a patreon for you I would do that right now
Thanks JC! I really look foreard to making the diorama for this one 😁👍
The link to my Patreon is in the video description and it's also on my channel page if you're interested in directly supporting me that would be awesome!
@@BPCustomCreations it's official I am now one of your patreon there is only two guys I would do this for and you are definitely one of them the other one would be Jason from diecast retros and I am going to go over there soon and become a patreon for him so keep up the good work my friend and all that good stuff and God bless to you and your family
@@jchayes7325 sweet!! 😎👍
Great job love how it looks👍
Thank you!
@@BPCustomCreations Your welcome you have been a huge inspiration to me thank you so much.
Sweet build my friend
Thanks mate!
Great custom
Thanks Gary!
Sharp stuff as always
Thank you sir 😁👍
Wow! It looks great 🤩. Is the vehicle inspired by the vehicles drawn by Alejandro Burdisio?
Thanks! You have a good eye 👍 his art inspired some of this design for sure!
Thanks!
I imagine that due to the bed being occupied by all the machinery, that the engine compartment acts as a storage space.
That's pretty believable 👍
Nice
Thanks!
you ist artiste. tank for vidéo
Thank you for your kind comment!
I love the use of the Gundam pieces. The painting is so good. Did you share this on the Gaslands Reddit?
Thank you! I posted it to reddit as well, yes 👍
Hey, bodacious ride dude. Where d'ya get those rings and vents from. I'd love to score some my most excellent fren'. (Sorry. I've just been watching Bill and Ted Face the Music. I liked it.)
Haha thanks! I don't know if you can find them outside of Japan but they are from "Kotobukiya M. S. G." amd they have a lot of different sets of bits: vents, cylinders, armor, etc.
I'll have to check later after work but they have product numbers like P-121 and so on, for reference.
Edit. I just found the pipe rings P-112R and the vents P-126R
nice build man!
You propably have said where you got the files for those 3d printed parts, but i cant remember where? Are they self made?
thanks! There's actually only one 3D printed part on this build. Everything else is gundam bits. The 3D printed parts I use are usually modelled by me and I post them on my patreon for people who want to use them.
Reptar Wagon Build WHEN?
😂 I knew you would pick up on that!
Great build are the greebles from a gundam set or something off the shelf?
Thanks! The gundam bits are from add on sets by Kotobukiya MSG except for the green headlights, which came from a Zaku 2 kit
Where did you get those vents you were talking about. You said they were cheap
I live in Japan so it's probably cheap for me but not in other countries. They are from the brand Kotobukiya
