    FINALLY!!! A bathroom that's not see-through! 😃😄😁

  • @islandgirl75

    You know what though? This one is SO much better for the price than the previous one. I could totally make this work but I'd need a bunk bed with a desk under it. The loft are would really just be for storage because I always have to use the bathroom at night and that would be too dangerous to use the ladder while sleepy.

  • @zzydny
    @zzydny 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +75

    This apartment has some good qualities. It looks like a ground floor space, and that is nice. It has a shoe cupboard and a nice window that isn't frosted (I like to be able to see outside). The small bathtub seems very good. The lack of a shelf in the bathroom is easy to solve--here in the US, it is possible to purchase freestanding shelves that can be placed over the toilet--I guess Japan has something similar. But that loft would be too dangerous for sleeping because it is so narrow and there is no safety rail. Still, it would be good for storage. Overall, this is a nice apartment, although it is more expensive than the place you are renting now.

      Agreed! The loft is a bit scary to sleep... Maybe more like a chill zone... Maybe watch movies on the white wall on the other side? 😊

      And even though the laundry area isn’t very large, it would perhaps be usable as a location for a refrigerator. The abundance of sink basins is a little wasted space, but you could soak laundry.

    • @mercidee1977

      I was thinking the same thing about the loft being unsafe, but it would be easy to install safety railings to make it more secure for sleep.

  • @pennymikk

    Love the space, love how it's structured. Laundry area is small but functional, bed obviously goes in the loft. the only thing i am worried about is the lack of storage space. Small spaces need lots of storage space! Buying forniture other than a little carpet, low table and floor chairs would probably make the place feel too cramped.

    I totally agree. I would use the loft for storage. I would get a sofa bed that is like the size of a twin. your desk idea was very good. I actually like that. but what I would do was get a desk with different levels. like you could have a with computer a one side and have a TV on the other side. But the futon bed is a very good idea too help save some storage.

    A good option compared to the previous ones. Harmonious living space due to the square shape. Somewhat similar to your room now, it looks cozy. Futon bed that folds into a chair or seat downstairs and small table or table attached to the wall that folds down... Great for sleeping and meals.... Love the opinion of a bath or shower... Plenty of storage space above the toilet great stuff.... Do you need more kitchen?.... Can you manage with a smaller washing machine? After all it's only you and spiderman's gang that live there.... Cheaper rent? .... A blank canvas for you to make it your own ... Personally I'd love it... Take care🤔🤔🤔🤔

    A question for anyone that may know, are there no safety standards for Japanese homes? Work and public places seem overrun with safety protocols. Homes doesn't seem to need any minimum safety standard when it comes to railings and safe transition for stair or ladder to loft spaces.

    Tension rods going from floor to ceiling as a safety rail in the loft would work for keeping stored items in place. Fridge in laundry space. Go to laundromat. Love the bathroom, finally no see through to the living area. Again with the tension rods to create shelves over the toilet. Might just have to give that bed on dressers a try here in my own home. Grandkids would love it. Hmmmm A hammock?

    Too many sinks! No need for the one in the shower. The loft has no safety railing so you couldn’t use it for sleeping. But with the low rent and the park- BEAUTIFUL! Final thought, with the high ceiling, heat rises, could be expensive to keep warm when it gets cold.

  • @liliaalvarado7040

    Compared to some of the other Micro units you have showed us, this (to me) had the most potential. I would set up a desk by the window, to get some natural light while working. And along the wall add a small LONG storage unit. By the control panel I would get a folding table with a folding chair for dining purposes. I would sleep in the loft are, and maybe install some portable railings (if available), or use storage furniture as a buffer. In the 'laundry' area, I wouldn't use it for that. I would get a small fridge and place it there, with some storage above for non refrigerated food, and maybe a microwave. In the toilet area, I would add standing storage behind the toilet for toilet paper and other needed items. You can get some with or without cabinet doors.

    I like the room. The problem is such a small space for the washing machine. Sleeping so close to the kitchenette area isn't so great either. Batman (DC comics) and Spiderman (Marvel comics) colab. I like this one. I like the big shoe rack. In my home, at my entrance I have a shoe and coat holder that holds up to 9 pairs of my shoes. I would use the loft for storage: extra blankets, winter clothes (during the summer) or summer clothes (during the winter and yarn, because I like to knit. I would keep a futon on the living area and use my folding Korean table. I like the bath and toilet have their own private space and the main living area is square shape. I may use the laundry space to put a refrigerator and instead use a portable washing machine.

    I like that it's located near a Park. Would definitely push me for more walks😂. It's a 6min walk to a station and that's fine by me. Love that it has a shoe rack. But honestly, I would just use the laundry space as a wardrobe area. We can just put those standing shelves for the toilet paper storage. And it has a bath❤. I love sleeping in loft spaces, but for Usui-san I think the loft space should just be storage and since the ceiling is high we can just use a loft bed where we can put a desk underneath.

    Instead of buying a washing machine, I’d get a folding bed and store it in that alcove during the day.
    Or…. In North America we have a wooden or metal bed frame that folds to a chair and opens to a bed. (We call that a futon here). Then get a smaller/narrow desk for work/eating. Desk chair goes into the alcove for the washer at night.
    I’d rather take my laundry to a laundromat and have space for storage in the apartment.
    By the way.. I dislike that loft for sleeping. I’d always worry that I’m going to fall off…

    Lost space in the bathroom : better a simpler but larger shower than such a small bathtub. As you pointed out, the heating control panel is inconveniently placed considering this is the only place for the ladder. And there is not even space to add a fridge when there is not a any convenience store nor a take-away restaurant within a short walking distance, meaning you would have to buy much groceries to cook and thus find a way to store them and keep them fresh. This is what the main space could be used for if you were not afraid oh heights : a fridge, a proper desk with a proper chair and maybe a small wardrobe. Unfortunately, there is no barrier to prevent you from falling from the loft space and this is a huge security concern, afraid of heights or not. That's way too many items in the cons column. Nope.

  • @gildaolsen2888

    It's a NO for me.
    1) It is $120.00 more than your current rent.
    2) There is no protection wall in the sleeping space. You could just roll and fall.
    Of course, if you get a chair that turns into a bed, and with you desk, it would work.

  • @coldcoffeehk

    It's not good, because:
    1. The loft is too small and too dangerous for sleeping;
    2. Where and how to place the refrigerator and your washing machine?
    3. The ladder occupies too much space;
    4. Where is your desk?

    The main living space had a better shape and I liked the larger shoe storage unit. However, I think only the futon and low table arrangement you mentioned would work. It's another example of how your current micro apartment is smaller and yet still more convenient and user friendly. At the end I found myself wondering what you had eaten after viewing the apartment.

    Loft space can be used as a storage. Ladder should be removed. Loft bed with desk may work. I would use arm chair to sit and get into a storage space. Greetings from Switzerland.

    Futon in the loft, mini fridge under ladder. Loveseat and coffee table that lifts up to use as a desk.

    Good afternoon Usui. Yes, it is true that the loft can be used as storage space. The futon seems like an excellent option to me, however I can't get an idea of the comfort compared to a conventional bed. Given how high the ceiling is, a raised bed, like the one you've been showing off before, would be ideal. However, I am confused that you are afraid of heights and yet have considered raised beds. I don't like that you don't have services nearby. And those that exist are few. I think this department is not a good idea.

    This one is just a little to small because you have to move everything if you want to do anything. You shouldn't have to be moving things around every day. The loft is scary because there is no railing. But at least there is a proper bathroom and it's even a private one. No putting on a show for guests because of glass doors

    Hi 👋, the location is beautiful but as you said is not ideal. The loft looks dangerous 😮. Your are going to find a better place. Happy New Year 🎉.

    I actually like the loft space and would like to use it as a sleeping space but it has no railing… so i would be afraid of rolling over 😜

    I really like the bathroom, so compact. Not crazy about the loft tho. Could hv been useful if it's a bit wider with more ceiling height. And some railing 😅

    Hello again! I love this apartment! The loft is good for storage and in a saloon is good a table and one comfortable chair and a futon or a "sofa-bed" ❤ A lot of kisses from Argentina!!!

    It would be lovely to live near the park 🌳🌸The storage seemed good in this apartment with shoe racks by the genkan and a loft area. The loft would be dangerous to sleep in with no wall or rail 😱 Happy New Year 🥳

    If you are afraid of heights I am the same way I would not want a loft. It does have some cute features but that would be a turn off for me also you don’t have much room for your washer dryer. Good luck in your quest for a perfect micro apartment

    No space for a fridge. Your actual place is better.
    I won't fear heights, so I will use the loft space with a Futon to sleep. But a ladder is inconvenient to place all the furniture that I need to live.

    Same thing this guy apartment, but his apartment doesn't have any sleep loft. This is smaller than his apartment, good thing this place has a higher sleeping loft. All the Japanese apartments are almost similar, how the people rearrange them. The apartment is very cheap and has no bathroom, this apartment has bathrooms they have to pay more like $500 or $600 American money it's a nice place.
