this is my absolute favorite! So much space and storage! When i lived in japan my dorm room was 12sqm but without the shower room. This space is great! Huge loft with a window!!! Tons of storage, a dicently sized kitchen area. I would love to live here!
if it can adjust the stairs a little bit wider then this place is good

Other than the (daily use) stairs 😂 this apartment is GREAT! The stairs are too steep -- there was room to build them with a more gentle incline.
As they are, Usui-san's feet (and anyone else's besides a young child 😂) could not fully fit on the stairs when coming down. 😱 Especially walking down all-black, too-small stairs in the dark? 🙊They need a bright edge to see the end of each step. 🔍
The stairs are steep !! Having to come downstairs in the middle of the night to use the toilet - DANGER !! otherwise it’s ok not fantastic. ❤

I like this one the most so far! Very cosy, comfortable, well-designed space. Also great that you don't need to move the ladder around to make the space more accessible, and that the stairs were integrated into the closet and storage unit. Very clever. Thanks for taking us on the tour with you!
I love this apartment. it's big and cheaper than I thought. I like the colors and that there is so much storage space. I'm also a bit afraid of heights, but I like that the stairs have a railing. I think I would still sleep in the loft. I like stairs more than ladders.
This is a better apartment than others that you have checked out before. Beside the scary ladder, everything else seems normal albeit small. The price also seems to be reasonable (not knowing whether the location is far away or still somewhat strategic to your other places)
It’s too bad you are afraid of heights because this micro apartment is PERFECT! Separate rooms for toilet and shower … space for a desk, chair, washing machine, and maybe even a small fridg on the bottom floor and plenty of space for the bed in the loft. I also like how the stairs to the loft do not block anything and even has storage! So much value in a micro package 😊
Leaving aside the fact that both the stairs and rent are quite steep this apartment looks like a solid option. Little room for desk, though.
If you could fit a washer/dryer and a refrigerator along with your desk and chair in the living space, then this apartment is not bad.
Hi Usui, this might be the best one yet.
Pros:
- has a separate toilet (with the water saving faucet) and shower room
- has room for a refrigerator
- storage space for all sizes of clothes
- stove looks like it is a gas burner (which means you can do more); but this might be a risk in an earthquake?
Cons:
- the stair step thickness doesn't inspire confidence (especially if someone if heavier then average); people might fall down a set of stairs such as that especially at night
- the railings for the stairs are in the wrong location, it doesn't keep the occupant from falling to the floor when descending from the loft (or there should be two sets of railings)
I love this- the best one yet. Hardwood floors, 3 sinks, a small window in the loft area for ventilation AND a toilet room with walls. This is luxury.
The only suggestion I'd have for the builders is to place the handrail for the stairs on the left, instead of the right so that people feel more secure going up the stairs.
Putting a handrail on the left will encourage people to lean into it more and actually might cause more unwanted accidents. The way it is now makes sure that people actually grab the handrails on the right.
I like the layout of this apartment. It's still small, but functional enough and there's actually a decent amount of storage. Including the little hand-wash basin above the toilet, there's three sinks in this apartment. I would probably get rid of the bathroom sink and use that space for a fridge instead.
Yes, I would do that too.
To me, the only thing holding it back is the placement of the stair rails but everything is manageable. I think you can still fit a desk for your working area, a mini fridge and maybe a microwave.
I love this Micro Apartment! So much storage, and well planned out. Not a fan of the fire ladder, but everything else, yes! So much space, and a good price for rent. Love your ice cream, and Spiderman's new hat! :)

This one I think is the benchmark for perfect size and amenities, plenty of storage and separate toiliet/shower! (and no weird front entrance toliet 😂)
The steep stairs are a bit of an issue if you are older.
I would make the loft my living area-computer,books etc and put my bed downstairs
But at least there ARE stairs, and not just a ladder! That’s an improvement over many. And I love all the storage they put into the stairs.
Stairs make this a winner! Not as steep as a ladder, good handrail, and a ton of storage. I also have acrophobia, but as I get familiar with a place that backs off, so I could get used to the loft.
This apartment and the apartment with the green stairs to the loft are my two favourites
Harry Potter’s Lumos magic may not have worked but he did find the best apartment so far. This was another enjoyable venture. Thank you!
Love most of the design, only flaw that I can think of is the washbasin next to toilet, felt so unnecessary when you can just wash you hand in kitchenette, could have use those space and turn toilet/shower into one continuous room, or expand the shower room into a bathtub....etc
When space is so limited, even small flaw become noticeable.
That's definitely a room that I could deal with I love the fact that bed is up above everything else, so much storage I could deal with it.
This apartment would be perfect IF the storage/stairs are less steep, and the stairs railing on the outer part of the stairs instead of being against the wall - this way there is proper protection from a fall
All the other facilities and fixtures are great
Only need a fridge and a washing machine/dryer to make this place very livable.
This is my favourite so far. Good storage and the staircase is not just a ladder that takes half the living space. I would put the bed in the loft and a comfy chair on the main floor to read and relax.

This is the best one yet. First one I've liked better than your apartment. You even have space for your washer! Lots of storage. And a real closet.
Pretty good for the price. Plenty of storage, and enough space for a desk and even a foldable single sofa that could be made into a bed in the night. You could have the office in the mezzanine and the coach in the lower area, for easy access to the bathroom. Either way the use of the space was well though of. Thank you for sharing.

This is one of the better micro apartments I've seen! But the stairs are soo scary, I can see my feet getting caught in the "storage" shelves. I wish they had rails on both sides for safety

Other than the step stairs and the duelling sinks (would have preferred the bathroom sink in the toilet so it's tucked out of the way). This is a pretty good layout. It even has a window in the loft so you can get fresh air up there
For me, this appartment, is also the best one so far. The room arrangement is great, lots of storage and the loft uses the minimal space amazingly. It's been more spacious than I thought up there. The only thing, I'd want to attach the railing on the other side, which seems for me much safer.

This is my favorite one so far! The storage space is great and everything isn’t so cramped like many of the other micro apts. It doesn’t get much natural light like the others, but it’s got nicely placed windows for airflow. I love that you brought Harry Potter along for this one 😊
It's much better than a lot of the previous ones but i still think the 11 sq.m. one with the triangular storage space and the sliding door you posted 2 weeks ago is the best
steep stairs are something you can easily get used to. Just hold the railing and switchon some light when going downstairs in nighttime. Well designed use of available space in comparison to a lot of other of the rooms you have shown us.
Honestly, it is my favourite video so far, the space was amazing (you can definitely make a living in there and doesn't feel that small and comes with enough facilities), and the stairs were perfect in my opinion, I always wanted to have stairs with storage space and now that I saw them I want them even more, you can even put books there!! But what I liked it the most was the comedy in your commentaries and that you went with Harry Potter, the space was perfect for him, and the special treat at the end with the HP theme, just love🤩 (Harry potter ice cream, that can't fail, icecream doesn't fail) it as well that Wizarding Spiderman, I scream the same, Gryfrindor! I love how you are including these legos, are so cool and many people don't show them, the inclusion of Spiderman was a hit for sure, please keep surprising us with more guesses.

I like this space quite a bit. There is pretty good storage and I like the loft. I think in small spaces, having a way physically separate your sleeping area from the rest of the apartment is important.
This micro apartment is probably the best one featured so far.
I like this micro room. It’s also better than others,at least you’ll have space for living or dining room. Nice taste for BR 31 ice cream at the end of the episode👍🏻.

This micro-apartment has multiple very attractive upsides:
1. Smart use of space: The drawers under the stairs provide lots of storage space and even a closet.
2. The toilet and the bath area are separated and have individual doors as well. If two people share this place, one can still use the toilet when the bath area is being used by the other person.
3. The combination of black, gray and light beige colors produces a highly appealing visual counter, giving the space an elegant and modern feeling.
4. It is conveniently located, next to restaurants, convience stores, and light rail.
5. It is not furnished, but the rent is very affordable -- less than $500 USD per month.
I wonder whether utilities are also included. Given the already affordable rent, that seems to be a bit too much to ask. 😄 I think this place is ideal for college students or young professionals who are just starting out in their lives.
Definitely my favorite so far! Those stairs are a bit daunting, but I think manageable.

This is the best so far. You should also show where you would put your desk and chair in the rooms you look at.
Out of the ones I've seen so far, this is a good one. Plenty of storage space, enough room to maneuver around (if you select the right furniture), close enough proximity to shops and stores, fair monthly rent. I'd say this is a contender. Love the HP-themed ice cream!
I like it a lot but the loft... I am afraid of steep stairs and heights so, I think it may be a no for me.
I have been trying to find a video of another micro apartment. The main difference is there is a bed built up over a storage cabinet. There are only 3 steps up to the bed. It also has a large closet so there is still room for a desk and chair, and even a couple of chairs for guests. I don't quite recall the kitchen/bath layout though. I will keep looking!
For the price, it's really a lovely apartment--for someone not afraid of heights. The window in the loft space is a great addition for cross breeze.
I like this apartment a lot. It is nicely planned and has rooms for storage, and you can put a desk and a small 2-seater sofa there easily. Thank you for sharing.

This one is the best we have seen by far, is the most livable one, enough storage, good natural lighting, and at least some space to move around, is tinny but it doesnt feel like a box
I like the storage stairs but they need to be wider with a handrail on the otherside, too many sinks, the large bathroom sink isn't needed be better if that space was used for the washing machine so you could have a fridge by the kitchen.

Like it the best among the shown micro apartments. There is enough space even for a fridge just beside the kitchen. Sleeping quarter in the loft, it's spacious and there is a window. The lower floor is the living room. Wonderfully planned micro apartment.
I personally think that this is the best option for you. With this one, you get a little more room for your buck and with meticulous planning, you can really map out your style in that place. The loft is larger than I thought so, it can accomodate a reasonable size mattress and a nice sized computer desk. Down stairs can be tuned to your preferences too! Just got to know where to look for that space. Be sure to throw in a few potted plants and some knick knats with adjustable shelving. Plus, you cant beat the minute walk. Thats straight up convience!

I like that this apartment has a lot of storage space! And the staircase is a very interesting solution, it's a storage space and you don't have to move it like in previous apartments. However, the fact that the stairs are steep and that you are afraid of heights may not be the best option. But maybe if you can put a bed and a table on the first floor, and on the second floor for example you can have a place to watch movies on your projector, it's not so bad. And it's also nice that the loft has a window and can be ventilated!

I would love this living space. The little window in the loft is a very thoughtful touch. The shower and toilet facilities are just enough, though a tub would be appreciated. There is great storage compared to some of the places you've looked at. I would have a seating/eating/workspace downstairs and sleep in the loft for sure.
If you don't like heights this isn't the place for you and I notice when you go down the stairs your feet don't fit so well on the treads. That wouldn't feel safe or comfortable in the long run.
Wow this is one of the best micro apartments I've seen! Such a smart idea to have a fixed staircase that doubles up as storage! The high loft ceiling makes the whole space so much more liveable. And I like how one sink serves both the kitchen and the toilet. Clearly it is a well planned apartment.

Honestly, this place is perfect. Stairs are great and they some storage built in- not like the previous apartment with the ladder that took up so much room! I think I could easily live here comfortably. 👍
This one looks very nice too! Those appartments with a toilet or bath tub directly after the front door, or a living that resembles a corridor/hallway are just no option, at least to my opinion.

This apartment has got to be the best one so far! It's got so much storage and even feels spacious! The only thing that would worry me is the stairs, as like you, I'm scared of heights, but the loft is so huge, I think I could get used to them!
I think that the apartment we have now is better.
there is no need to climb into the attic, and there is no unnecessary sink for washing. You can actually wash your face in the kitchen sink.
Everything in this apartment is good, and there are many interesting solutions, but the sink for washing is superfluous.

This is the first place that might actually be worth almost double what you’re currently paying. All the storage is very nice. I wish that the railing would’ve been on the other side. That would make more sense.
I love this place. The last few Appartements gave me a headache. But actually...i could imagine moving in in this one. If i was single and had no kids.😂 I love the huge loft and the stairs. They are so well thought through. Imagine having a micro Appartement AND space for books 🤩🤣
Best place so far. Downstairs space is a bit odd because of the stairs but its pretty spacious overall and has all the amenities. Looks like its a brand new place.
This place looks really well thought out. I can imagine putting a tv on the wall next to the stairs and a small sofa on the opposite wall. Maybe if the height is right, you can even put a cushion on top of the emergency ladder and rest your legs there😂. Then a table/desk between the kitchen and sofa

This is the best one you’ve hit for apartments. I still like that PACO house, but this was a nice apartment. Loved the stairs! Great use of space with them. Even though the stairs are a bit steep, there’s a nice tailing to hold onto. I like them better than that inconvenient, skinny, and steep ladder in the other loft apartment. It’s a great option for you.
My one real gripe is the three sinks in the space of 5 feet. There’s a sink above the toilet to wash your hands after using it, and a sink in the kitchenette (where you could easily brush your teeth or wash your face). Why waste space with another sink right next to the two? That space could have had a fridge with more storage, prep station for food (although, not the most ideal spot for it), or even made the toilet and shower rooms bigger. 🤷♀️
This is quite a nice apartment. Only these stairs are a bit dangerous.
I really like this one. So much storage space. The only downside is the loft area since you are afraid of heights. You could have put a small bed up there. You could at least have a sitting area as well as a desk. Nice video. 😊

❤ This is the best one yet! So much storage and so close to restaurants and transportation! Practice going up and down the stairs so you'll get used to it and be less afraid. Woukd be perfect if it had a refrigerator. Otherwise i think it's great, and I hope you get it!

This one is much better than previous apartments. The stair + storage combo saves lots of space and is safer than a ladder. I would have a mattress as a bed in the loft, and a desk and/or table in the living room for eating and working/entertainment. Maybe a single couch and a guitar too.
Hello... I do like this apartment, a lot. The staircase with storage and the shoe storage are spaces that can be used appropriately. It is true that the bathroom and shower are really small, but functional. The loft is very spacious, but if you are really afraid of heights, no way, you have to keep looking, but of all the ones that have had stairs, this is the best of all, and the steepness, in a way, gives more security , but as long as you are not afraid of heights. Normally I prefer bigger apartments, but I would choose that apartment! It's enough space (if I would consider living a more minimalistic lifestyle) and I love the storage idea under the stairs. It's bright and the loft space seems big enoug to stand there.
In this last apartment the stairs are unsafe.
Everything else is convenient.
I still think your apartment is still the best ever.

Wow, I can’t believe this apartment costs the same as or even less than some of the other less-than-ideal places you’ve visited recently. This place has storage spaces and closets! A foyer with no toilet in sight! A larger, airy loft accessible via a permanent stairwell, not a ladder. A more spacious living area that can accommodate a larger desk. And, the subway and places to eat within a few minutes walk. I think this is the best apartment yet. I hope you can get over your fear of heights because this looks like a very reasonable place for less than $500.
