It’s so good to see you both again! I have a suggestion for blocking John’s baby blanket. If you want acrylic to keep a certain shape you need to pin it out to that shape and steam it well without touching it with the iron (or whatever you use to steam with). Let it dry completely. Steam blocking acrylic will also soften it and make it have more drape. It can then be machine washed and dried and keep that shape. That is what I would do if the fiber content is mostly acrylic. Good luck!
I think this was one of the best episodes you guys have done in a long while. I actually even listen to the movie reviews which I laughed out loud at 2 AM 😍Those movies in the early 80s were some that I really enjoyed. It reminded me that perhaps I should try to rewatch some of them again. Even the Razzi movie seemed like it might be worthwhile lol just for some good chuckles.
Good to “see” you both again! I had signed up for the berocco blanket as well, then I had this brainstorm that I could do two because I didn’t have my yarn and wanted to start right away, what was I thinking?? lol Hope w get to see you soon! And if you’re in Denver, see you at colorful!
I love you guys!!! I’m going to do the blanket challenge. I loved the baby blanket and I’m going to put it on to my list. Betty Ann thank you for pushing Scott and John to podcast.
I pester my boys cause I want to see them as much as possible. And I want to find out what I have been up to lately. Secretly, I am super proud of them. I have another son but he doesn't participate in things like this. I am super proud of him too. He's the one who helps create my grandbabies. 🙂
In early December, youngest child (adult) and I went to a screening of Elf. The lights were kept at half so we could stitches while we watched. When we came out of the theatre it was snowing that picture perfect way.
Hi and Happy New Year, I'm the lady you met at the Yarnery last week or so. Thought I'd share a free Xmas ornaments pattern in case you're looking for more: Santa's Laundry Line by Eleonore von Castelmur. Really love your in depth movie reviews where you discuss everything - the directors, actors' relationships, etc. Also, in case you weren't aware, there's a brew and knit event coming up in northeast Mpls (I believe) on Jan. 26. I'm not sure if I can make it, but wanted to pass the info onto you. Thank you thank you!
So one of my goals for this year is…maybe get back to podcasting. Thanks for the shove (and the company on the treadmill this morning, before I have to go back to work)!
I hate Elf too!! It may be bc Will Ferrell is on my "least favorite actors" list, but i have lots of unpopular opinions 😂 I don't like the movie with the leg lamp either, and i don't ever swatch, and I'm beyond happy that Vlogmas is over 🤷🏼♀️ I'm always thrilled to see a new episode by you guys tho!! Happy 2025, y'all 🥂
@@sweetteanoshade903 if we’re really looking at something objectionable my husband, and I must say it is breathtaking. Yes and we’ve probably watched episode of Seinfeld.
For as materialistic as the 80s were, there were a lot of relationship movies. Postcards From the Edge is too close to my sister and mother. And the 80s tear-jerkers are great for when you need a sad day - Beaches is like, the BEST/WORST for a good cry.
Ugh! Please! No alcohol talk! On NYE, I went to this men-only bar where I got way too drunk on disco beats and ended up at 6am in this shady location where we all were…. promiscious. It’s the 5th, now. I still can’t even THINK of alcohol! Is this what turning 30 is like? No one warned me 🤢 😩
My besty loved Terms of Endearment, but i loved The Big Chill which seems like a better movie with lasting appeal. I was a recent college grad new to city life (Atlanta) and i saw so many good movies: flashdance, Footloose and all of those movies yoh mention.
Love your movie reviews guys.
Your pup is so adorable, cozy during your podcast.
Look forward to your blanket progress.

No wonder I haven’t seen you for a long time! Glad you are back!
I don't want the movie, but I do want to assure you that I always watch your episodes to the end. Love the snark.
Thank you! :-)
@@sweetteanoshade903 me too, but this one was definitely worth watching to the end. It was so funny.
Happy New year from west coast Mayo. Happy to see you wherever you find the time.

I love that you're going to do it, too! If you post any pics on Instagram, tag me so I can see it! @sweetteanoshade
You are so welcome, Liz. Just a Mom wanting to see some of her boys. 😀
I was having a bad day and then this episode popped up. Thank you. Love the colors for the new blankets. ❤
I hope your day got better!
Hooray! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

It’s so lovely to see you both, Happy New Year, hope it’s not too long before your next podcast! ❤️👍
OMG ! Your back. Send me that Blu-ray / DVD to put on my wall to tricker everyone who sees it. 🍿📀🍿

My partner gave me the dvd of the Last Emporer for Christmas in 2023. And I believe that The Dresser was a duel best actor nomination at the time. 😮
I’m so glad you said chaos about the hat! I was thinking it 😂 Also, love the Atwood deep cut 👏🏻
I see you're a podcaster! I subscribed!
@ - Just getting started. I’ve been making my way through your back catalogue!
Enjoyed and glad someone wants the dvd because I don't 😂
The Angela Lansbury reviews were great but the comparison reviews are so much more entertaining. Lol
Happy New Yeaer!!!
You guys have great content, but I love your stories about Betty Ann.

ps, i enjoyed the editing this episode
Thank you! I'm glad someone noticed. John and I roar in laughter while I edit and try to be funny :-)

I think John's hat WIP is either designed or inspired by the late, great Cat Bordhi.
Yes, exactly!!!
Missed you guys. Where’ve you been
some babies are "breathtaking" (Seinfeld reference)
hahahaha

I’ll take the movie

Happy 2025! Welcome back. Nice to see Johns naked face.
Hey ❤🇨🇦
I love watching the movie review section but will pass on the movie! 😉😉
Does John ever finish a sentence???
When I let him :-)
I thought that was bald and bankrupt on the thumbnail
I've never heard of that TH-camr but I'll have to check him out now.
