Oh my goodness!! Another hobby to add to my repertoire! I can’t tell you how I appreciate you talking through and showing your dying technique. So excited!!!!
Thank you, Kay and Dan. Great show. I loved that film. Dan's colour-work is brilliant. Looking forward to the next podcasts. Hope you have a happy and healthy new year.
Happy New Year! 🎉 Thank you for the Perfect Sock series, Kay. It’s fun to see how you choose the colors based on scenes in the movie…and how you make those colors come together in the perfect yarn for the perfect socks.
Dan, I must agree with Kay…just a fabulous video! And Kay, I’m loving the My Perfect Socks series. Thank you to you both for your hard work. Happy New Year!
Watched today’s show with my 88 year old Mom … she LOVED you both and was fascinated with the yarn dying. I was so happy to show her ‘that English knitting couple’ I’ve been talking about for so many years. ❤ Happy 2025🎉!
This will be so fun. YGM is my all time VERY favorite movie! I have it pretty much memorized. Have you ever watched the directors cut?!! If not, you’re in for such a great treat! You need the dvd and then you can watch as Nora Ephron (genius writer director - I miss her!) narrates the entire movie as it plays. It’s sooo much fun to watch and see all her little insights! My good friend from @yarnbrary is doing a year long YGM yarn club for 2025. I am VERY excited. I knit every pair of socks ever make in tandem. That way they match, they are even, they are all done when they are done and I get to go on to the next pair. Never any 2nd sock syndrome. Cute editing and music for getting that NYC YGM vibe. Well done. Love watching your yarn dying ideas. I’ve learned a lot from Watching g you over the years. I love to dye my own yarn.
Pausing to congratulate Dan because i totally agree with Kay, the editing was fabulous. I totally guessed the movie before it was named. Spot on vibes.
Oh my goodness! I can't believe that I've never seen "You've Got Mail", especially now that I'm living so close to NYC where I can visit the scenes (I am grateful that I was able to visit all the "Sleepless in Seattle" spots when I lived there, but now also need to add "When Harry Met Sally" onsite visits). I will use my last precious vacation days to remedy that. This new year I will be using creativity to help me through stressful work days by knitting in route to work (commuter train sock knitting) and at lunch time (sweater or shawl knitting).
Happy New Year!! I love keeping track of numbers just for the fun of it. I had 89 finished items in 2024, 79 knit and 10 crochet. I'm guessing Kay will have 50 "cast offs" in 2025.
This is so beautiful! I'm so glad you two came up on my feed. I've liked and subscribed and am so excited to see what comes. Happy New Year 🎉 Happy knitting 💚🧶🩷
I love my yarn winder - it's 5 years old and I've spun maybe 500 balls into it, including aran and fingering weight. It's from amazon, brand is Weiye, and the listing is "Large Metal Yarn/Fiber/Wool/String Ball Winder" It's about £30, and is mainly metal.
Happy New Year! I love the film You've got Mail, but the original Shop Around the Corner is my favourite film. The new sock series looks great, looking forward to your colour schemes.
Happy New Year! I’m in California..we were watching New Years celebrations around the world…and we all decided that London won New Years’!! It was the best fireworks show ever…wonderful! Looking forward to the new year of shows with you!
Just for fun I kept track of my finished objects last year too. I work full time and have two young(ish) children so I was surprised it was 53! That included 26 pairs of socks, 4 blankets and 4 sweaters/cardigans. I must knit faster than I thought. Not sure if I’ll track it this year - my goal isn’t to knit a certain amount, I just love to do it
❤❤great show🎉🎉, Happy new year,,, Your cowl is lovely ,Kay ,,,in the fairground pattern,,,and love Dana colorwork cowl,,,😮 Great sock series,,yippee,,,,love 🧦🧦 socks,,,, I will be casting on the cuff ,,,for sure,, Love scrappy ,too,,, We watched ,,when Harry met Sally on new years eve for the 40th time ,,I am sure,,one of our favorites,,,,🎉 Go lions,,,,, Elaine❤😂
Frankie grey fibers mother and daughter yarn dying company (Jodi is from the grocery girls and Mrs brows bags) do amazing colour yarn and different bases, she is from Canada but I really do think she deserves a look, they have some absolutely beautiful colour yarns ❤
Yes, I knew immediately from the intro that it was You've Got Mail, one of my all time favorite movies! You've got such restraint, Kay. No way could I die such pale colors - I'm an intense color sort of person. And I'm definitely not a fan of brown. :)
I love the clan of the cave besr series. Maybe I should re-read them. Reading Colin Iggulden right now. Emperor series about Julius Caesar.Helping to get me through the death of my husband that I lost on morning of Christmas Eve

Now Dan's cowl is definitely Halloween colours. I love it.
What a brilliant first show of 2025! Love that Dan made a cameo during Kay's segment describing the needed yarn dying supplies 😂 Go Lions!!!
Live knitting socks and now I’m motivated to try dyeing some yarn!
Love the hand dying section ❤

I find sometimes steam blocking/ironing acrylic gives a better result than wet blocking. Xx

Happy New Year ❤
Can't wait for all the new things this year!
Castleview yarns used to do some lovely bright yarns, although she seems to have toned her range down a bit. Lovely saturated colours though 💕
I purchased a winder from Temu...best one I've had so far and less than $30 and it's metal base with nice large ball capacity
Happy New Year from Kentucky! Looking for. Lions victory, as well!
Frankie grey fibers mother and daughter yarn dying company (Jodi is from the grocery girls and Mrs brows bags) do amazing colour yarn and different bases, she is from Canada but I really do think she deserves a look, they have some absolutely beautiful colour yarns ❤
Happy New Year, from Swansea, Illinois. ❤❤❤❤
I would also recommend Kate Selene and also My Mama Knits. What about a peach colourway for your joining colour?. Great show - thank you

Y’all are lovely 👋🏻hi from Atlanta, GA. Looking forward to following you on the TH-cam streets❤
Happy New Year 😁
Such pretty projects.
You guys are my people. The Billy Crystal movie you’re looking for was City Slickers. 😉
It is funnt how we are all different. It is thick yarn and big hooks that hurt my hand (not shoulder).
My yarny corner dyes bright yarns and is in Yorkshire.
Happy New Year from Canada!
Found your Crunkled Sock pattern in my library. Love it! It really knits itself.
Oh my goodness Dan, you make me laugh 😂.
No way Lions🫣😝 Not against my Vikings 💜💛
For fabulous brights, you can’t beat Cool Woolings
Happy New year.

Kay y9ur lovely cowl could be Halloween Flames or for you bonfire night cowl.
What about ‘Teddy Tutu’ for the name?
Are hedgehogs intelligent to understand the concept of time?
