    Like everyone else, I was disheartened to read your newsletter. You handled it with such grace and diplomacy. One of the many reasons I love you ladies! I eagerly anticipate your podcasts and I have never missed one since your first, and the book podcasts too. I love them all! It was a dream come true to visit your shop on a visit to PEI. I wish I lived nearby. I am so inspired by all of you. Simone, you got me to dust off my spinning wheel and pull out the English paper piecing supplies I’d had for years and give it a try. Kim, I have become a much better knitter with your advice and tutorials. And, Betsy, like you I tend to go rogue with all kinds of crafts. I’m also fearless with a sewing machine so following you led me to cut up a cape style sweater I knit and never wore because it felt awkward. I sliced it up, stitched seams with my sewing machine and viola! I now have a sweater I will wear. The bottom line is, thank you for being the talented, beautiful women you are and for sharing your gifts with us.

    I just read your newsletter and had to jump on here to say that I’m sorry and disappointed to learn that people left disparaging comments. The three of you are beautiful inside and out. If I lived in PEI you would be the people I’d want to have as friends because of your kindness and generosity of spirit which what all of us should aspire to be. Thank you, Kim, for responding decisively, making it clear that nothing like that will be tolerated. Now I look forward to grabbing my knitting and cup of tea while I enjoy your new episode.❤

    From your email today - my heart goes out to the team and how much I appreciate all of you and your kindness for all you put out to the world. Shame on the trolls and haters - we have no room for that in this space. ❤❤ Thank you for another lovely episode and for the three of you - you bring me such joy and happy inspiration each week. OMG Simone - your Pumped Up cowl from your handspun and Mode -- my new handspinning goal (just having started on drop-spindle) -- but a goal! just gorgeous.

    I read the newsletter and I'm so very sorry that someone was trolling one of your accounts. You are 3 beautiful ladies, both inside and out. Trolls are unhappy people who take pleasure in hurting others. While I know their words hurt, keep remembering that we all love and admire each of you, and your work. Thank you for sharing your creations and time with us every two weeks. Much Love, Claire 🤗🤗🤗

    It makes me sad that in the world today we can’t accept people for who they are and that some people make hurtful comments. We are all human beings with feelings. My wish for the world is more grace and kindness towards everyone. I absolutely love watching your podcasts. You all make me smile and laugh. Take care 💕

    I just read your newsletter and it makes me very sad. Kindness is the only way we can move forward with everything happening in the world. I love your podcast so much and when I see your smiles, it makes me so happy. I am a knitter and I have ordered from your store. Today, I took my very first weaving class! Take care🥰

    Thank you for a great reminder to be kind. Beautiful ladies adding joy to our lives makes me sad to think that some people are so hurting that they must tear down others. My only complaint is I want to do everything you talk about and use all your beautiful yarn.

    I love your episodes, your projects, your kindness and joy. I can’t understand how people can be cruel, especially for no reason. When it comes to Floss Tube, I wondered what it was a while back and watched Lost in Stitches. Her work is amazing! That slow motion blanket unrolling was great!!

    It is always a pleausre to watch this woolcast, I was quite impressed by both Kim's and Betsy's cross stitch. My eyes would protest too much, but I love to see you doing so many different crafts. Simone's new cowl is also so very nice, does it ever seem cozy ...

    Wonderful podcast as always. You always bring a smile or a belly laugh to my day. The section on cross stitch was interesting, like you Kim I did cross stitch many years ago, Betsy I might just try it again. Oh dear another craft! I was very sorry to hear that any of you have had hurtful comments made on either this site or your own personnel sites. It amazes me how nasty and unkind people can be on line. Please know many of us, appreciate your podcast and your skills and enthusiasm for knitting and craft. I am hoping to visit PEI one day, and like Betsy Fleece and Harmony will be my first stop!

    Hello ladies, I, too, read your newsletter this afternoon and am very sad that a troll targeted your lovely podcast. It's a leap of faith to share yourself online with the vast unknown audience out there. It's almost inevitable that some disgruntled individual will decide to be nasty and that isn't easy to deal with I'm sure. Just know that you three are a great team, you're inspiring and uplifting and each of you is very much appreciated and valued. Your talents and creativity are inspiring and thank you for sharing them with us. Chia Goos are my favourite needles as well although I don't like the ones that spin and I never use mine, at least not yet. Your needlework picture is gorgeous Kim.

    One of my ChiaGoo red mini cords broke right off at the attachment...while I was on holidays....and nowhere near a knitting store....sigh. I was using two 9" long cord/needles lengths to knit my sock. Not a big angle at all and no stress bending...Guess I have to go beg a new one from ChiaGoo.... Thanks for the 'tip'.
    Thank you again ladies. Always fun to have you keep me knittin company. Keep on keeping on.

    Betsy, I totally get the wind creating anxiety. The last few days we've had hard winds that ripped a 10 foot section of metal flashing off my daughter's house. Between the constant, heavy blowing and the well into the negatives Fahrenheit wind chills, I've felt completely on edge. For needle cords, I kill them no matter what kind they are, because of the way I knit. Especially with shorter tips, I tend to push the right hand needle through with the palm of my hand, basically bending the cord to a right angle right where it meets the needle. I don't appear to be able to break myself of it, so I'm going to have to live with the cords occasionally breaking. It is what it is. I haven't done cross stitch since 1997. I only know this because it was a sampler and it has the date on it. lol I did do a little needlepoint after that, but then I fell into spinning in 1998 and it was all over after that. Always so glad when it is the Friday that you three will be putting out an episode. Your joy in each other's company is wonderful to see. Here's hoping 2025 brings you all peace, happiness and prosperity. 😊

    I have read the Chiagoo red cord will break if you are knitting a very small circumference with a needle that is too long. There is too much stress of the point where the cord enters its metal connector. I tried to do this and ended up with a permanent bend at that point. So I got smart and ordered a set of minis.

    • @FleeceHarmonyPodcast
      @FleeceHarmonyPodcast  8 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Yes - that's exactly when it happens over time. When there is stress there (right at the join) and you don't want to do magic loop, you need to switch to double points. It doesn't happen the first time, it is repeated bending and stress that will weaken the cord.
