Yes, that would be the smart way but I couldn't wait to try it out! =) Now I know it all works and fits I will get back around to it and clean up the floors.
Did you spray it all with osfo? Maybe spray it with some rust converter and leave it as is. Maybe a carpet or vinyl floor cover to drive it and later on you can deal with the rust. For now I would just drive it until something breaks and fix as you go. PLEASE don’t start taking it apart😂 let’s see if CT listens. Hey I give you a shout out in my last video 😂
I would do the welding first ,Also I would put some undercoat and fresh paint on the parts where the petrol stripped all the paint away,,That part of the floor is left unprotected ,,It will rot within a few years without protection,,Just my pref,,
TC I really hope to see you the more of the american-made stuff no offense as a fan I'm just never been really big on the farm European cars not that there's anything wrong with them they just don't do it for me but you do good work and I like that
That thing runs AWESOME....Clearly the best deal you have ever gotten on a project.
Personally I would do all the floor welding 1st. I fully realize you said you'd take the tank back out but just my preference. Good work.

The new tank look so great 👍 but I would have installed it after the complete rust is of the cab.
Yes, I 'm a german geek .😊
He should have treated that floor and painted it before the tank went back in
Thanks man! haha! =)
Nice job CT, that cab was in dire need of cleaning. Also really nice to see the replacement gas tank go in relatively smooth and fit correctly.
When you have a chance get you a 5 and one steel scraper tool. HD or Lowe’s has these. Best tool since vice grips
Awesome! Thanks for the lunchtime entertainment 😙💨
I had the paint shop match up some rattle can paint and did my floor and behind the fuel tank. Just a quick way😮
Good idea. I might try that. Would be easier and cheaper.
I’m pleased for you. Well done. Try not to leave it too long before you finish the floor. You’ve put a lot of effort into it.

Pretty awesome! Got it looking 👀 great!!
purring right along
POR 15 on the bare metal behind the tank.
For 49 years old you can call it basically rust free it's really unheard of to have one that old to be that little damage
Nice truck

Could you please share the reference of the neck filler , hose, and the rubber seal ?
Thought you would of treated / painted the floor before fitting the tank ??

Why you call a fuel level "sending unit"? Nothing able to send gas in it
That's what they call the in the USA. This is not a fuel pump, this is the fuel level sending unit.
The sending unit is in the gas tank, the reading unit is in the dash. It sends no gas, it sends volts.
too cool, thxs for sharing...made in "America"
I had that wrong I said 49 but if that is a 71 it makes it 53
😃😃😃
Thanks buddy! =)
