A biased party cannot be the one to provide a valuation. If it goes to court, in addition to the cost of the vehicle there will also be damages awarded related to inconvenience, distress, admin, and legal fees. The shop messed up about as badly as it is possible to, so the least they could do is get an agreed, professional, third-party valuation rather than pulling figures out of their backside.
lady doesnt understand the difference between an inspection garage and a repair garage either. Wait til she learned not all stores sell the same things
Thats not the issue here. She went to a safety inspection garage, not a repair garage. Inspection places are often not allowed to fix your car, as it would be a conflict of interest

0:55 worth only 4000? Nah fam the 18k the guy asks is fair. A shop with no insurance? Piss take. If you got no insurance don't drop the car. I got no insurance but I don't make bonehead mistakes.
Ran out of engine oil completely on a high mileage Ford and it seized. In the two hours it took waiting for a tow I filled it up and it started when cool with no further problems. Had a Peugeot in with owner complaining of gearbox noise. Seal had been leaking for a long time and completely empty of oil. Filled it up and it was perfect; no noise and smooth changes. Another Peugeot in for routine service and went to adjust mixture only to find there were no fixings on the carb, and yet it was running perfectly. Amazing how much abuse engines can endure and still run.
this video is super informative and really well put together! i have to say though, while i get the importance of mechanical accuracy, sometimes i feel like the focus on customer complaints overshadows the actual work that mechanics do. it’s a tough gig and not every issue is as straightforward as it seems. what do you all think?
4:25 In 20 years of working in the automotive field, I’ve only fulfilled a request to look at the radio twice. In both of those occasions, it only required a quick glance at the owner’s manual, something this woman should have tried.
4:50 where do you need to go to get Apple car play fixed? The dealership, that's where you go with this Pay 170€ an hour for a software update or infotainment flash An MOT garage wom't fix your radio lol
PSA for those who need to hear it: don't take your sports or exotic cars to quick repair places. If they don't have low pro lifts or a drive on, just keep going.
"No insurance? That's cool, I'll sue the owner and take their house as payment"
......But he is correct that it's now only worth between $4K - $5K!

@@MrWombattyI see what you did there, i agree the car is now worth only 4k 😂
@@MrWombattyI realise this went over my head yesterday. Good point and well played.
@@MrWombatty 4-5k but the owner didnt want to sell it he wanted it fixed. You need to factor in emotional pain from the cars destruction
I knew what was going to happen and the spring still made me jump.
Gotta love when potential energy comes fighting back.
That dog is worth its weight in 10mm sockets!
что за порода?
0:48 where a buy 4000$ corvette🤣?
Fixing Apple car play? Use your brain and look at the manual.
Would that work with female customers though?
@@mojoblues66 If they have the ability to read, this should work.
yeah, in most cases the shop cant fix apple car play anyway its prob a software or user issue
@@GettingNervous I was elected to lead not to read... the garage fixes it

That unanchored speedometer!
😂😂
The first time I saw the video, the song You Spin Me Round came to mind😀
What a handsome dog.
4:50 What a total fool. The radio is not mechanical or tied into the ECU.
Thats not the issue here. She went to a safety inspection garage, not a repair garage. Inspection places are often not allowed to fix your car, as it would be a conflict of interest
Some radios are tied into the ecm.
Wow! Such a good puppy!!
7:36 this block is from boat. it is asian country. they love to install v8 with turbine on boats and connect gearbox directly to the propeller
The dog was super cute.
That last video just shows how smart dogs are. It seems to recognise the words 'air gauge' and '10mm sockets' and even knows where the items are.
The dog is the best part of the video, I just subscribed!
Maybe they can fix apple play at the apple store??? Or Just read your owners manual lady!
That dog is smarter than some of my friends
That good boy better be getting all the belly rubs.

Gave you a like, mostly because of the wrench dog at the end... the rest of the video was cool too !
LMAO , I had the same situation with a walnut in my trans linkage 😂😂
Crazy luck😂
Crazy squirrels. They stick them everywhere. They always put one where my downspout meets the house. Every year.
2:08 This is the coolest feature i've ever seen on a vehicle.🤣😂 I want one too. ... Also looks much more accurate than a stock one.🤔

Vette owners It's limited edition, one of one.

8:08 gotta be one ancient car for it to break apart that easily
Where can I buy a c6 for 4k? I’d love to know 😅
Very good
2:09 Nasi tu są :D
The Dog is amazing
Best dog ever!
That dog at the end is the bestest of boys
I'm sticking to Just Rolled In.
The van at 1:25 was, in fact overheating

I ducked when that spring came off 🙂
2:14 WHERE WE'RE GOING WE DON'T NEED ROADS
Even the dog knows to hide the 10mm
Gotta love structural spray foam.
@5:05 - you go to a dedicated automotive audio specialist. Just because something is attached to a car, doesn't mean it's a mechanic's job.
1:38 That car transmission was pooped.
4:50 where do you need to go to get Apple car play fixed?

Pay 170€ an hour for a software update or infotainment flash
An MOT garage wom't fix your radio lol
Why on earth would you try taking a coil spring apart without the proper tools? 🤦♂️
1:19 I wonder if it did.
8:07 moment when technician intentionally sabotages a vehicle caught on camera in 4k!!!1!!1
Lol idk ive seen plenty of explorers and edges making it past 100k

It's easy get low cars on a regular 4 post lift but I hate using 2 post like in the corvette video
We used ramp extension on the lifts to make the ramps less steep for lower rides
Duct tape Reinforced spray foam!
Had an oil filler cap come off an engine once, jammed the steering box and caused a crash.
🤯
8:33 Where have I heard that sound before? 🤔
🤔?
Guy had too much crap in the oil caddy
5:40 that there is some serious BS.
Nmmmm, yes, дело seriously
Is it just me, or do 21st century vehicles and their owners seem unreliable!
"What car is not making it to 100k?"
Any car newer than a 2022 model year
4:20 If I could turn back time.
If I could find a way.
Id make sure the french NEVER built engines ever.
Ouch, that hurt.
What Corvette owner would be so stupid as to take their vette to a "Quick Fix" shop???? He got what he paid for I guess.
