First time seeing this channel and seeing this game, its nice to see development logs like these - also appreciate that you acknowledge and remarked regarding going back on a previous statement regarding the bullets - game development is essentially a constant balance between vision and function, sometimes to achieve this compromise you have to double back on a decision so its nice to see that you're willing to actually say that even if newer viewers aren't aware. The game looks interesting, I like the pixel art use because it reminds me a lot of my childhood on early NG, Miniclip and ArmorGames - I think the style of pixel art works nicely too. My only suggestion to you, is to maybe change the colouring on the weapons - the shape of assets will change over time and people will eventually remember whats good by name - but visual identification is important, so maybe add a marking of sort to denote what weapon class it is, or even a marking on a gun to see what ammo type it is (yellow striped magazine explosive etc etc).
@@erickalfaro8389 procedural generation if used correctly produces exponential results to whatever effort is put in. From a dev perspective it means the more work you do you get twice as much end result. I personally think it is stupid for less story based games to have preset worlds that are identical for every single player and in no way a unique experience. I want to be able to start a new character and be able to explore a whole new town in the zombie apocalypse, with procedural loot, enemies, bosses, and to actually have a choice how I play the game instead of what the developer wants. Its the overarcing ideology in all the games I design.
Awesome devlog!!! you should speed up the bullets on the sniper, they look pretty slow but look pretty good!! I also like the idea someone proposed in the comments, where the screen shakes upon the use of hte sniper
Hey bro I'm not a game dev or anything but i think it would be cool if there was like a dust effect or something in the foreground i think that would add a lot of depth to the graphics
It already looks good. I have an idea for the trailer, you could upgrade it to give better protection or things like that after each enemy wave (m61 Vulcan machine gun LOL). And as an idea maybe try a darker shade for the little rat like enemy, it looks nice but I think it's a bit hard to see. Anyway, your game is not mine. Remember I will unsubscribe if you stop working on this game (just kidding). When your discord is ready to use I will join there.

What if instead having a bunch of different guns, what about having a lot of modifiers? This way there will be way more freedom to the player.
