    In this video I compare the infamous Apple Pencil 2 vs Samsung S pen.
    This apple pencil is the second generation apple has put out in the market and is Apple most modern and most advanced stylus.
    The Galaxy Tab S7/7+ S Pen is Samsung most advanced and most modern stylus also. I briefly go over what it has been like using both the apple pencil 2 with the ipad air 4 versus using the Samsung S Pen with the Galaxy Tab S7
    For those looking for replacement tips, you can find them on Amazon. Here's one affiliate link:

      @@thunna2609 I always recommend that people with an iPhone as their daily driver to go with an iPad because it would make using both a more seem less experience. However it's different if you have an Android phone because the iPad is more of a companion device. You don't need an iPhone or any other Apple device to use it. If that makes sense...

    Great job comparing the Apple Pencil experience and the S Pen experience! Especially when you mentioned how to choose which tablet based on their companion stylus. I would like to know more about the difference in their artistic capabilities, but that's fine.

    This is by far the most helpful comparison video I have seen. I really liked both the tablets but I was stuck between the apple pencil and s pen i tried both but was more comfortable writing with s pen, this video helped in gaining more clarity, some people mentioned nib of their s pen got damaged, could you please share your experience, how long is the life of s pen we can expect?

    • @wrongturnVfor
      @wrongturnVfor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I have been using S pen for a while now. I am a very heavy user. And I mean VERY VERY heavy. I take 150+ large notebook size pages of notes per day and in addition to that, I use it for making atleast 3 B4 sized drawings per week. With that use, my Spen nib lasted 14 months. But dont worry about that. You can contact samsung service centre and ask for replacement nibs for the pen. They are very cheap - about a dollar or two at most. I bought a pack of 5 and I feel I am good for 5-6 years. They are also easy to install. as easy as changing a lead in a mechanical pencil. But dont ever buy knockpffs for the nib. They arent that cheap they may break in the pen and render it useless. Only buy original replacement nibs from the company. Apple pencil cannot compare the nice comfy squishy-nib feeling at all. And it is very noisy and irritating. Plus I dont like being shackled to apple ecosystem. Also, I dont have worry about charging of the spen. so depending on how heavy you use the pen, it is pretty good and you get replacements. So if you like the Spen, go for it 100%

The reason is that I don't like the tapping sound that you will have on the apple pencil while the S pen has a smoother tip and it doesn't make any sound when drawing/writing. You also need to charge Apple pencil and I would like to avoid situation where the pencil falls out of battery and I need to charge it. I had had the chance to test both pencils in my local shop and I had a better feeling when using the S pen. This is only my personal opinion. :)

    s pen is coming out of the box. moreover, it's only 40 dollars at amazon if it's lost. For me, I'm going to switch to Samsung when my surface pro gives Up hope they improve their os. Competition is a good thing to have.

    Haha even though i have a s pen. People will say the apple pencil is better because apple. Why can't Samsung make a copycat similar to the apple pencil?

    You should’ve tested the latency of the Apple Pencil with the iPad Pro and not the air. The pro has pro motion (120 hz) so the latency is 2x as fast.

    This is the most unbiased channel I've ever come across. His comparison videos and even the reviews of Samsung products are actually geared to review the products in their essence and not to prove one better than the other and I really appreciate that. My own preference is for samsung and it's products but it's hard to actually find channels that review these products fairly.
    I've never actually used an iPad with the apple pencil gen 2 but I have used the tab s7. I use it regularly to take notes and honestly the functionality and accessibility of the tab with this s pen is a great experience. Just wish replacement tips came in the box. However with regular use for over a month I haven't seen any fraying and hopefully won't be seeing any for another few months.
    I really appreciate your work, the hard work and effort you have put into your videos just shows through

    If you want to draw, get an iPad. I got a Samsung tab s and the pen is really tiny. It also refuses to work with a light hand which is what you should be using when drawing. When u draw lightly it skips your line even tho the nib is on the glass. It doesn't even get to the smallest sensitivity possible, not even close. The iPad pencil tho, no matter how light I draw, I still get a marks and the line can go really thin and then extremely thick with full control. The s pen, you have much less control. Going from a big drawing tablet on a pc to an apple pencil feels like you don't lose any quality. Going from a big drawing tablet to a s pen, feels like using a super tiny marker that is having ink problems so u apply more pressure to draw and you hope that your hand doesn't cramp after an hour or 2. Also, apple got procreate, I haven't seen an app as good as procreate

    • @wrongturnVfor
      @wrongturnVfor 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can change the sentivity. I use samsung s7 fe for drawing and it works just fine for me with the lightest touch. And I feel line thickness, control and accuracy are better with the S pen. I find its pressure sentivity is pretty good. The problem is probs the app. I just wish procreate was available on adroid. That would be a dream come true for me.

    • @bobsteven2363
      @bobsteven2363 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wrongturnVfor pen activation doesn’t have to do with sensitivity. You for sure have a heavy hand. I have used all types of tablets. From Wacom, huion, apple, and Samsung. All are good except Samsung. Only tablet that requires a heavy hand. It has terrible pen activation and terrible sensitivity range. I used more than one app. I changed the sensitivity settings. The s pen is simply trash. For writing notes or doing some sketches it’s very much usable. But again you need a heavy hand and you can only do that. Anything else and you need to use workarounds. It’s also super tiny, very uncomfortable to hold. And the big negative is that Samsung tablets are borderline trash. They shove so many features but forget that they need a good cpu. The cheapest iPad outperforms the most expensive Samsung tablet. The amount of stuttering and freezing on an s tab is insane. That’s why i no longer use it. Just use my iPad and my 22inch huion. Not even once have I missed my Samsung. In the trash it is (no actual ewaste, I gave it to someone else)

    S-pen can do it since 2015 in a more precise meaner. S-pen convert your handwrite letter by letter. Apple pen makes it word by word. The result: S-pen can convert in all languages :)))))))) Apple Pencil limited by supported languages. You have a pencil and you cannot write in your mother tongue. This is a real innovation :)))))))))))

    Ivan, I generally enjoy your videos and find them fairly illuminating. However, this here is a pretty perfunctory look at Apple Pencil v Samsung S-pen scenario. You seem to have a fairly limited knowledge of s-pens, despite claiming their use since the Note 2 phone in 2012. There are several anomalies in your presentation, as well as some pretty serious omissions.
    Firstly, unlike Surface pens, all s-pens are cheap little pieces of plastic, of varying shapes and sizes. Some are a lot more refined-looking than others, some have clicky buttons, some are shiny and colourful. To state that the Note 10 pen is built like a tank is utter nonsense. You are obviously not going to break yours in two to prove me right or wrong. Believe me, it is just as fragile as any other S-pen. It only looks like it is made of metal. It is in the internals of the S-pen where the magic happens, facilitated by the software accompanying your phone or tablet.
    Secondly, I cannot fathom the omission of the first generation of Apple pencil from this discussion. The second generation device is only compatible with iPad Pro 2018 onwards and the 2021 IPad Air. All other iPad models (and there are lots of them) are confined to gen 1. Yet, no mention of the poorly designed first generation device.
    Thirdly, there is absolutely no mention of what I feel is the engine room of all s-pens, and that is the Air Command menu system (not to be confused with gestures). This small gem gives the Samsung devices functionality that Apple users can only dream about. Then there is the remote control capability in some Bluetooth s-pens.
    You do a wonderful job, Ivan, of promoting the values of the Samsung range of premium devices, and the S-pen itself. But you need to do a little more homework, so that the viewer can get a truer appreciation of the superiority of an S-pen over the Apple pencil. After all, it's the S-PEN that makes a Note a Note, and a Tab S7+ a Tab S7+.
    Just side note - asking the question "which one is the best choice for you?" is pretty dumb, really. There is NO choice! You talk as if they are compatible with each other's system. You get the pen /pencil depending on the tablet you have - period! You don't even get a choice of which Apple pencil you use. It also depends on the tablet you own. Again, there is NO choice!
