      OK so I configure the controller but still when I try to play nintendo super nintendo or nintendo 64 it still doesn't let me use my PS3 controller I have to use my joystick on my arcade cabinet How do I get it to play nintendo 64 super nintendo playstation and nintendo on my PS3 controller

    At 1:14 the system recognizes the controller as a Sony, if it says Shanwan than you have a fake. It will vibrate, and be a hassle to connect, except via usb chord to controller. The barcode ends in 225. Not to worry, a real PS3 controller is about $80, so you saved some money and have a chord controller instead.

    I tried doing this with a Ps4 controller but for some strange reason it’s not showing up on the drivers list yet I can use it to play Gameboy games and Mame but then the override suddenly kicks in and the controller becomes non responsive very frustrating. Surely there has to be a solution to get rid of the override completely 🤔🙄

    On most games I play to configure the buttons correctly per for each game circle=A, X=B, triangle=X, and square=Y. If the button configuration is correct game's like Mortal Kombat and Super Mario World's high punch, low punch, high kick, jump, and spin jump buttons will be mapped correctly.

    Good video. I had a lot of issues when I first got into all of this but figured it out. All I use now are PS3 controllers. In my experience they work great with the X, O, triangle and Square mapped out in the SNES controller configuration.

    Is it possible to connect two PS3 (bluetooth) controllers to Retropie - Nostalgia Dreams Damaso?
    I have two controllers PS3, but I can only connect wirelessly to one each time. Either pad no. 1 or pad no. 2 works. If pad no. 1 works wirelessly, then pad no.2 only works on the cable. Conversely, if pad no.2 works wirelessly, pad no.1 only works on the cable.
    How to connect both pads wirelessly?

    Hey Drew! Just subscribed but I have been going to your vids for along time. I just wanted to tell U how thankful I am to have someone like U go over all this stuff! I think what your doing is Amazing! I have not bought a Pi yet because I have everything on my Original Xbox (huge xbox collector) and have so many different builds (Coinops 8 Massive, Premium). Plus I have a modded 360 loaded! I'm a huge Console Arcade Joystick Collector so I have many different Badass Arcade Sticks that are very rare for alot of consoles! I wanna get a Pi so I can utilize my 2 PS3 MORTAL KOMBAT ARCADE STICKS! I was wondering all this time if I should go with a Modded PS3 or go for a Pi Build or Odroid for using these? These are the 2nd Gen MK Sticks that have the Beautiful Mahogany lacquered finish on the top! They have real true arcade parts in them! I bought one also for the 360 just because there so Amazing! If anything goes bad u can change the stick and buttons out. I believe it's all Happ Parts inside....well, I wanna be able to use these Sticks in a Arcade Cabinet or Pedalstool coming up in the basement! I dont know where to start with the Pi's and which with be the best for FINAL BURN & MAME? I just think these Sticks will be Great inside a cab with one of these builds. Let me know what U think and which direction U would go to utilize these sticks... ..Thanks Again

    I'm having issues with mapping my PS3 controller buttons (wired or wireless) to some of the MAME inputs. I press Tab and can get into the config. My directional inputs work just fine..left, right, up, and down, etc. Select, Start, PS button and triggers all seem to work as well.
    For some reason, when I try to map the X, Square, Triangle, and Square to Button 1, 2, etc., none of them are recognized...it's very strange. These buttons work fine in Emulation Station, and other emulators.

    Hey Drew can Retropie be set to boot up the original PlayStation intro (the white SCEA, black PS screens) whenever you launch a new game? I've been searching everywhere, can't seem to find a solid answer, and that would be a huge piece of nostalgia for me.

    • @drewtalks
      @drewtalks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you just need to download that splashscreen and then add it to your pi through the network or transfer over a thumb drive:th-cam.com/video/ulpwDNr0tq4/w-d-xo.html

    • @HawaiianKong
      @HawaiianKong 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Drew, I was talking about playing the PlayStation intro each time a PSX game is loaded, not when the console is booted up. I know it can be turned on/off with some emulators like ePSXe, but was curious about Retropie's PSX emulator (which I believe uses ReArmed). Thanks

    • @HawaiianKong
