A very good alternative sealer is Sikaflex which sticks to steel and rubber. Very messy so gloves and acetone to clean after. Great videos mate enjoy watching you - greetings from Malta. I have 2014 Japan import Demio.
Hey man, you’re one of the reasons why I got myself a 2014 Mazda 2 as a first car. Had it for 6 weeks now and am absolutely loving it! I was also going to buy the shortshift kit that you made a video on but the shipping to Germany is 50€ which is the price of the kit itself. Luckily this little beast has a really good shifter from the factory. Anyway I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoy watching these videos, keep it up!
Dark Ice Designs is a uk based company that sells a short shift for the Mazda2. Just checked and they ship overseas. I have one on my 2011 Sport and it was just as easy to fit as the DDM one.
Hey mate ended up filling a rear engine mount with sikaflex 252 made it alot stiffer on the automatic version mazda 2 only thing noticeable would be slightly better gear shifts So for all y'all who own auto version no point filling them just leave them stock I guess manual problem another story as explained in these videos God bless jesus loves you all praise him 🙏🏽👌🏽
Like your vids a lot, keep it up. I also did the main mount a while back on my 09 mazda 2, but mine was completely shot with the oil running out. So I took it and tore open the bottom, drained all the hydraulic oil, let lay in degreaser for a good couple of hours and then filled up the whole thing from the bottom. Worked amazing!
Always love seeing your content!! When did you put those Hella lights on? Some more info, or even better a video on them would be awesome!! Keep up the great work mate :)
thanks for sharing, I did same thing to lower arm ball joint since 2 years and it still in good shape, especially where I live roads are not in good shape. Thanks.
I've had my 2 for 3 weeks now and I just installed the DDM short shifter and shifter bushings. Made a word of difference! The AWR mount is next but my upper MM is rattling so the timing of this video is brilliant. Any word on when the other mounts will be available from AWR?
thanks for the vid. my mazda 2 is old enough to do all the things you've shown... i had the repair estimated and it's way too much for my wallet... thanks!!!
Hey!! Been watching your videos for a few months because you are one of the few guys who talks about Mazda 2 hahahaha. I got a question, been searching on the internet but im still unsure so I will just pop up the question here. Im driving a mazda 2 DE demio model with a manual transmission. My mechanics are telling me that my mounts are worn out but im not sure if they are just saying that to make some sales or its really true. How can I confirm that my mounts are worn out? And is it safe to buy aftermarket mounts or should i go mazda original? Im from Singapore btw.
So I have a 2014 Mazda 2 with the automatic trans. What are some of the mods you have on your Mazda that would make the automatic a better driving experience? Glad I found your channel! I’ve been wanting to start putting mods on my mazda2
You can do anything to an automatic 2 that you can with a manual that isn’t specific to the transmission. Personally, I wouldn’t modify an automatic 2 very much because at the point to which I’ve modified my silver one, I would miss the manual. The green one remains stock and it’s still fun to me. I have fun hucking it around on dirt roads, I don’t slow down for rail road crossings in it, and dumb stuff like that. Just putting it in D and doing reckless stuff is fun enough for me in that car. If anything, I might freshen it up with some Fiesta suspension for a tiny bit of lift and get some aggressive tires, but that’s it.
Hi Nick, i have a question for you, have you noticed that your car shakes way more when it’s in D and pressing the breaks pedal? I bought the 3 OEM mounts and still got the issue, don’t know what to do… :(
Thanks for the video and all the tips, i was wondering for a while to do it, since for me to get an AWD its to expensive.. So I really apreciete the Video🙌😊
Thank you for the video. Question, as I saw in in other videos, the Loctite makes the car vibrate more at idle, where you able to notice that too? Thank you
Do you like the projector headlights we got on some Mazda 2's here in the UK? Got a set here with the harness bits if you were interested, ours also have a levelling switch to dip them if you for whatever reason have alot of weight in the back of your 2 but you probably dont need it. Dont know what shipping would be like though.
Just curious....I have a 2012 M2 and am wondering about engine longevity, assuming regular oil changes and sensible usage. Mine has the 4-speed manual.
Do you think a solid dog bone mount might help with a crunchy 1st to 2nd shift? I have to wait a few seconds before gearbox is ready for 2nd. It doesn't grind, just feels a bit coggy. Thanks Mr Hiroshima
Hi again. Still you have that engine mounts on the car? Did u check if are still glued? In to another video, you change it the rear mount. So...please tell me if it's work for a long time with that. Thank you in advance
Hey can you please answer. Do you have to prop up the engine to remove the side passenger mount or will it be ok. (Don't want to leave the car in the parking lot with the jack underneath for 24 hours.
I wouldn’t leave it unsupported for more than the time it takes to replace the mount, frankly, but if you must, definitely support the engine and gearbox with a jack.
I just replaced the passenger side one today by itself. Do not reccomend as it causes the whole engine to vibrate. Ordered the other two parts and will put them in this week.
if the vibrate comes from the steering wheel while idling. what engine support number do you think was at fault? this is my biggest question and my current issue right now.. i hope you can answer or suggest.. thank you
@@HiroshimaSpirit dude this car main problem is the engine mount tbh I'm really done with it fixed 3 times already in a year and it kept getting damaged even tho I used to put original parts
My engine mount needs to be replaced, it makes noise and shaking car... Also why your Mazda 2 was so noisy, I mean sounded like a sport car, mine just quiet as a grandma...

It's incredible how dramatic it feels when you change worn components, having got used to, and adapted to them over time.

I’ve had those on for almost a year. I didn’t feel like making a video about it at the time.

Could still do the other two, though.

Stiffer mounts equals more noise and vibration translating to the cabin, so yes.
Great Video, Josh! I like to call my cheap gopro a "FauxPro"
Oooh, good call.
Thanks for this!
Thanks for watching! ✌🏻
Still need to get no.3 engine mount for my 2010 mazda 2 mazdaspeed. Also my lower bumper grill has a slight crack can it be fixed ? Or mended ?
Habe you put a turbo on your mazda 2?
Hi , 1)For a stock 2011 mazda 2 ,doesn't it make the car very stiff? 2) Doesn't the engine need support when changing this mount's?

Shipping would probably be more than I’m willing to afford at the moment, but I would love a set of projector headlights for each of mine some day!
Just found your TH-cam app . great that's it's in English.
Can you show how to install a windshield washer tank?
Remove the bad one and installation is the reverse.
Just curious....I have a 2012 M2 and am wondering about engine longevity, assuming regular oil changes and sensible usage. Mine has the 4-speed manual.
If you take care of your engine, it is designed to last 300k miles without needing to be rebuilt.
plans for a lightweight battery?
Nope. I sold the car last year.

A few seconds sounds like a bad synchro to me. It might help, but if it’s actually multiple seconds, you might have bigger problems.
@@HiroshimaSpirit sounds like a fun weekend project, not. Thanks for the reply!
Very interesting video, 2 questions.
Would you recommend it for the auto?
What's that tiny computer on your dash?
There’s no reason to to it on an auto, imo, but you certainly can. The thing on the dash is an OBDII multi-gauge. I have a video about it. 👍🏻
what about noise and vibration? can you compare both of them?
More than stock. About the same as if you had all solid mounts.
Is thier something that dries faster? I can't have my transmission hanging for 5 days
Maybe.
>ooo that's hot
Yeah, I know that feeling.
