How to LOSE STUBBORN BELLY FAT - 5 Biggest Mistakes! ⚠️🚨

  • How to lose stubborn belly fat - avoid these common mistakes!
    1️⃣ CALORIES
❌ Stop cutting calories in half to lose weight. It is unnecessary and will only risk a fast decrease in your metabolism, making feasibility harder!
✅ A deficit should be around 15-20% of your current maintenance. I also recommend including Diet Breaks (staying in 1-2 week periods on your maintenance) to give yourself mentally and physically a break from the deficit. This allows you to really stick to your diet long term = stubborn areas can start to „melt“.
    2️⃣ SUGAR
❌ When someone wants to quit sugar, my brain gets itchy. It doesn’t solve the problem! After quitting sugar for a while you still don’t know how to include little treats into your diet without overeating. You’re basically „training“ the wrong thing if it is your goal to maintain your weight long-term.
✅ Eat your favorite chocolate cake or whatever you might like occasionally. Incorporate those things while being in a deficit. This is how you learn to eat those foods in moderation, not by extremes.
    3️⃣ CARDIO
❌ Cardio is not required for fat loss and achieving a „toned“ body. A lot of cardio can ramp up your hunger feeling for more calories than you have burned through it.
✅ Focus on strength training if you want to change your body composition. Feel free to integrate 1-2 cardio sessions or conditioning workouts. But don’t add a ton of cardio to burn fat. Most important is that you are in a caloric deficit, which is easiest to be ensured by measuring your calorie intake.
    4️⃣ CHEAT DAYS
❌ Cheat days are the best way to develop an eating disorder. Cheat days and very restrictive days train your brain in black-or-white thinking. It also promotes overeating, which can quickly destroy your deficit when looking at average consumed calories.
✅ Allow yourself some unprocessed or even ultra-processed foods like cake, chocolate, etc., every day. By allowing yourself to integrate those foods, your cravings for them will decrease. I recommend eating 80% of your calories from unprocessed foods to ensure satiety and 20% of „soul food“.
    5️⃣ CARBS
❌ I thought we were done with that, but I still see people cutting carbs for no reason. Look, some restrictions have a purpose and make sense (e.g., calories in a moderate way, food restrictions for ethical, moral, or allergy reasons). However, some restrictions don’t make sense and don’t fulfill your purpose of losing weight. Being in a deficit is the essential factor for losing body fat. Technically, these calories could come from carbs only, and you would lose weight. This is not a recommendation of mine since we should also integrate proteins and healthy fats, but it just goes to show that carbs are not making you fat or losing weight. The opposite could happen when eating on a low-carb diet because your body is stressed and trying to conserve energy.
✅ Eat according to a balanced macro intake. You can shift carbs and fats a little bit based on what you desire most but don’t cut any of them out of your diet.
Suppose you do all these five aspects correctly; well, then, you should see good progress in the next weeks and months.☺️

You're right, but I think what she means, as in regards to the whole video, is going too extreme in all of these things which will set up for failure. Quitting processed sugar is a massive thing to do in our current society where it's so available and is in so much. Not to mention sugar is very addictive, so going cold turkey first up will probably lead to failure which will be disheartening and can lead people to quitting routine in the first week.

So when a video states “how to lose stubborn belly fat” none of what she says in that video matters, because you can’t target a specific area of your body to lose fat on. Your body stores fat in certain areas, for you it might be your legs, but I can absolutely guarantee if you are cutting, you will lose fat on your legs, you just might not notice it. @@mitsu-san1054there are some methods to overcome plateau....it happens to everyone so don't worry.
      1. I would suggest you to change your regular workout session which introduces your body to a new movement and your body will go back to weight loss mode again.
      2. Have a cheat meal, has it been months or so many weeks that you haven't had anything high caloric? Yeah have a cheat meal (not a cheat day but a cheat meal) this will confuse your body like a sudden electric shock and it will go back to weight loss mode. The reason is when your body have lost a certain amount of fat it will eventually reach a plateau mode meaning it thinks that the food around you is scarce so it will burn less calories for energy (like a defence mechanism). Don't do too much cardio it may leads to loss muscles. Do weight training exercises + cardio. Come to calorie deficit diet instead of doing omad, paleo (if your already following that follow only that) and decrease calories little by little everytime you lose weight.

She does, yes processed sugar isn't the best for your body. But ppl are so obsessed with vanity that their mental health suffers. The all or nothing attitude isn't healthy. This is what leads to EDs. Unless you have an allergy, food intolerance, or medical condition, you do not need to cut out any food group to be healthy. Ppl that cut out food groups want a "quick" way to lose weight. There are so many ppl who cut out gluten who don't need to and take all of the gluten free items and ppl who need them don't get them. Then there are ppl who believe that it's healthy for them to cut everything and just eat fruit, and then they end up with rotted teeth. Even when if a diet works that is low carb or gluten free...it doesn't teach you how to manage or maintain your weight loss normally. All you're doing is restricting more than usual. It's a control issue, and ppl who cannot eat all the food groups bc they can't stop overeating need to seek professional help. Overeating is a mental issue that ppl overlook. When you cut off food groups, it doesn't fix the problem, bc now even if it worked, you will have to eat like that the rest of your life until you address the actual problem. Cuz if you start eating all of the food groups...control is lost.

You didn't understand her point and unleass one wants to eat just grass as rabbits, will have sugar from time to time. Not everyone want to eat as a squirrel and guess what..they are super healthy. I eat literally everything with moderation, try to buy as healthy as possible but I'm not obsessed. My weight is great and perfect health. I'm enjoying life and I'm not a paranoid who won't touch a piece of chocolate because bla bla. Therefore I'm happy and not frustrated. Quitting totally sugar would mean drop fruits as well. No , thank you. So you don't know what are you talking about

You can't be on a strict diet your whole life (I'm talking about weight loss and not about some illness). So, when you start to eat on a regular way you just gain your weight back and sometimes more.

This will make you LOOK less fat and bloated all day around, but it doesn’t change anything. Don’t go overboard on carbs and sugar just to stay healthy, but to lose fat all you need to do is be in a calorie deficit. I’d recommend 200-300ish as a reasonable and okay feeling amount. Incorporate cardio as it’s great for just improving health, and makes getting a calorie deficit much easier. All avoiding carbs sugars and salt do is make your water retention worse, so you will absorb less water, and look smaller because of it. Don’t do this.

The reason why cardio isn’t always the best is because with cardio you lose water weight and calories. The minute you eat/drink something, you are gaining it all back. If you want better results, High Intensity Interval Training is better because you are breaking down muscle and burning fat. Some cardio is okay, but don’t depend on it if you want results.

Cutting sugar is one of the best solutions for health in general but also for weight loss
. I am sugar free for almost 7 days now and I am amazed at how many benefits my body is getting already: acne is gone, hair loss is reduced dramatically, no more bloating, belly fat is being burned and belly gets smaller by day, cellulite is reduced, teeth are cleaner, sleep is better, skin is better (not oily anymore and not sweating so much), inflamation is gone, skin doesn’t itch anymore, poop doesn’t stink :)) and so on. I think I’ll get even more benefits in the long run.

@@hispanicversionoftrishapaytas for me personally the big change happened when I read the book "pure, white and deadly" by John yudkin. It was an eye opener. I just quit sugar(processed and added sugars )overnight, after learning the horrifying long term effects of it, from accelerated ageing to neural degeneration.
What helped me the most during the initial days was sticking to whole fruits and dates whenever I got cravings for sweet stuff, I would run to the kitchen, and stuff myself with a few dates. Keeping a banana while travelling helped. After almost one and a half month, my taste buds actually changed. My cravings vanished. After almost 6 months when I tried having something sweet , it tasted sickly sweet. It was too sweet to bear.
The benefits I observed were enormous.
      1. I could feel more energy during my workouts, I felt stronger.( I used to think this benefit was a bit exaggerated by people, but boy was I wrong!!)
      2. Gained a slight clarity in my vision
      3. Dropped weight around my belly ( which I had a hard time losing previously inspite of being consistent with my workouts)
      4. Body looked more defined.
      5. Slimmer face in comparison to before
      6. Hair quality improved a tad bit.
      7. I stopped being lethargic during the rest of the day, exhaustion vanished.
      8. Skin improved a tad bit.
These are the ones i actually noticed. There might be other benefits that I may have missed.
      It's totally worth it.

Here’s a breakdown of each exercise from the workout plan:
    ### **Upper Body Strength**
    1. **Push-Ups**
    - **How**: Start in a plank position with your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the floor. Push back up to the starting position.
    - **Tip**: Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels throughout.
    2. **Tricep Dips**
    - **How**: Sit on the edge of a chair or bench with your hands next to your hips. Slide your hips off the edge, support your weight with your hands, and lower your body by bending your elbows. Push back up until your arms are straight.
    - **Tip**: Keep your elbows close to your body.
    3. **Pike Push-Ups**
    - **How**: Start in a downward dog position (hips high, hands and feet on the floor). Lower your head towards the ground by bending your elbows. Push back up to the starting position.
    - **Tip**: Keep your hips high and body in an inverted V shape.
    4. **Incline Push-Ups**
    - **How**: Place your hands on an elevated surface (like a bench). Perform a push-up as you would on the floor, lowering your chest towards the surface.
    - **Tip**: Keep your body straight throughout.
    5. **Diamond Push-Ups**
    - **How**: Start in a plank position but place your hands close together underneath your chest, forming a diamond shape with your fingers. Lower your body until your chest nearly touches your hands, then push back up.
    - **Tip**: Elbows should flare out to the sides slightly.
    ### **Lower Body Strength**
    1. **Bodyweight Squats**
    - **How**: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Lower your body by bending your knees and hips as if sitting back into a chair. Return to standing.
    - **Tip**: Keep your chest up and knees aligned with your toes.
    2. **Walking Lunges**
    - **How**: Step forward with one leg and lower your hips until both knees are bent at about 90 degrees. Push off the back foot and step forward with the other leg.
    - **Tip**: Keep your torso upright and core engaged.
    3. **Bulgarian Split Squats**
    - **How**: Stand a few feet in front of a chair. Place one foot on the chair behind you. Lower your body until your front thigh is parallel to the floor, then push back up.
    - **Tip**: Keep your front knee aligned with your toes.
    4. **Glute Bridges**
    - **How**: Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Lift your hips towards the ceiling by squeezing your glutes. Lower back down.
    - **Tip**: Engage your core and avoid over-arching your back.
    5. **Single-Leg Romanian Deadlifts**
    - **How**: Stand on one leg with a slight bend in the knee. Hinge at the hips and extend the free leg behind you while lowering your torso. Return to the starting position.
    - **Tip**: Keep your back flat and core tight.
    ### **Cardio and Core**
    1. **High Knees**
    - **How**: Jog in place, lifting your knees as high as possible. Swing your arms for added intensity.
    - **Tip**: Keep your core engaged and maintain a brisk pace.
    2. **Mountain Climbers**
    - **How**: Start in a plank position. Alternate bringing your knees towards your chest in a running motion.
    - **Tip**: Keep your hips level and core engaged.
    3. **Plank**
    - **How**: Hold a push-up position with your weight on your forearms and toes. Keep your body in a straight line.
    - **Tip**: Engage your core and avoid letting your hips sag.
    4. **Bicycle Crunches**
    - **How**: Lie on your back with your hands behind your head and legs lifted. Bring one elbow towards the opposite knee while extending the other leg. Switch sides in a pedaling motion.
    - **Tip**: Focus on engaging your abs and avoid pulling on your neck.
    5. **Leg Raises**
    - **How**: Lie on your back with legs straight. Lift your legs towards the ceiling while keeping them straight. Lower them slowly without touching the floor.
    - **Tip**: Keep your lower back pressed into the floor.
    ### **Full Body Strength**
    1. **Burpees**
    - **How**: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Drop into a squat, place your hands on the floor, jump your feet back into a plank, perform a push-up, then jump your feet back to your hands and leap into the air.
    - **Tip**: Keep the movement fluid and maintain good form.
    2. **Jump Squats**
    - **How**: Perform a squat, then explosively jump up, landing softly back into the squat position.
    - **Tip**: Keep your core tight and land with knees slightly bent.
    3. **Walking Lunges with Knee Lift**
    - **How**: Perform a lunge, then as you push off the back foot, lift the back knee high. Alternate legs.
    - **Tip**: Maintain balance and engage your core.
    4. **Spiderman Plank**
    - **How**: In a plank position, bring one knee towards the elbow on the same side. Alternate sides.
    - **Tip**: Keep your hips stable and engage your abs.
    5. **Side Plank**
    - **How**: Lie on your side and prop yourself up on one elbow, keeping your body in a straight line. Hold the position, then switch sides.
    - **Tip**: Stack your feet or place one foot in front for more stability.
    ### **Cardio and Core (Day 6)**
    1. **Burpee Broad Jumps**
    - **How**: Perform a burpee, but instead of jumping up, perform a broad jump forward. Return to the burpee position and repeat.
    - **Tip**: Use your arms to help with the jump and maintain good form.
    2. **Skater Jumps**
    - **How**: Jump sideways from one foot to the other, mimicking a skating motion. Alternate sides.
    - **Tip**: Keep your movements controlled and land softly.
    3. **Side Plank with Hip Dips**
    - **How**: In a side plank position, lower your hips towards the ground, then lift them back up. Repeat on each side.
    - **Tip**: Keep your core tight and avoid letting your hips sag.

I think every weight loss journey is different. Those 5 points are totally worked for me. I limit carbs & sweets, calorie deficit and fasting 20/4.
    I have my cheatdays also,
and it works!! I lost 7 kilos in almost 2months..
Your mind and body is different from others. I personally think, the one that helps is consistency combo with discipline! Eventually bad habits will change to good habits.

I spiral if I restrict my calories. One thing I’ve realised I can never compromise with food 😂. So I just focus on things I don’t have to eat. And eat the rest their things in moderation

Everyone's weight loss journey is different. For me, I'm working out most days of the week, but not pushing myself,. If I'm sore, then I just go easy and do a shorter workout that isn't as high impact. I cut down on sugar and certain foods during the week, then allow myself to have more of those foods on the weekend.

To lose wait and get fitter you have to have calorie deficit, which means burn more calories than you eat, avoid sugar and carbs, even at small portions at a time until you completely avoid them, no point not eating at all because you still have to move, cardio or walking for at least one hour a day and you will reach your goal ❤

I do 'cheat days' and they have helped me finally start losing weight. I did intermittent fasting, exercising 3 times a week for about an hour each time (I'm disabled and can't do more than that), low sugar intake, high protein, and reducing my cals to around 1600 and I was getting nowhere. But once I implemented cheat days I finally started losing the weight that seemed to never leave me.

it’s all about balance, find foods you like that have good nutrients, stuff with protein and fiber are really good! I have a streak of eating an apple a day, so i’ve been doing that, also just some scrambled eggs are good for keeping you full longer. increase in water intake is really important.

Both my parents did keto and have been doing keto fora few years. In the first year, they lost from 35-65 pounds. They have been more active and energetic and have not craved sugar or carbs in YEARS. They didnt do cardio or any specific workouts, just a few walks

The best thing I’ve found is the 80/20 rule. Sugar doesn’t ruin you as long as you don’t binge on the stuff. Balance is key❤

Darn right, esp #3. Stuns me how many ppl in year 2023 still think they can achieve weight loss goals w cardio. Cardio burns so few calories compared to what ppl think it burns.

1.Restricting calories more than necessary can lead to starvation sometimes you wanna eat a lot of calories for energy that you’re gonna burn off doing something big.
    2. You should only quit excessive not quit all sugar.
    3. Cardio can help but to much can just tire you out so if your doing cardio remember to take water breaks
    4. Cheat days can really lead to binge days.
    5. Your body requires carbs.
Btw I learned all this stuff from gym and health class
