    If you want the precise anamorphic look, do a 12.8% crop for top and bottom. A quicker way is changing the project itself to 1920x804. This gives you the 2.39:1 film style aspect ratio.

    I've used iPhone for shooting videography projects for years, but I've never tried altering any of the default settings. I've always wondered my footage comes out a bit more artificial looking and seems to lack that film warmth and softness. This was it. I'm actually shooting a music video on Friday and I'll be putting these recommendations to use. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    The TH-cam algorithm needs to get your videos out… after seeing light and shadows I decided to story board a cinematic film set at night under the city lights…. Because it’s more visual story telling I am having trouble adding to the story when using sequence/b-roll shots, would love to hear your advice!
    * great seeing the new additions to mood sound design!

    • @BryanAdamCastillo
      @BryanAdamCastillo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ah dang thanks so so much! that’s so amazing to hear! i think you’re on track with a story board. i would also think through some kind of script or element of talking/voice over. this might help focus your b roll a bit more and tell more of a story with a message/purpose. otherwise, if it’s purely visual, find amazing music and sound design that can help to tell the story without words! hope that helps!

    I have the Ronin-S and the DJI gimbals, and I certainly prefer the DJI one (I have the one from a couple years ago) when I can get away with it, but you have to keep it vertical or else it won't function properly.
    Where as with the Ronin-S, you have a lot more ability to tilt it and still have it work properly.

Also, I notice when recording video the iPhone tends to blow out skys really bad; would you suggest turning off HDR in settings or adjusting the exposure?
