I love how practical you are with color grading. For someone getting going all I kept coming accross was 'film in log then.....' like things weren't complicated enough for a newbie channel. Thank you for being practical and not snobbish and complicated. A premade layer is good enough for me as my filming is still pretty ordinary. Step by step! Love your channel and style!
So helpful! As a newbie at making TH-cam videos, I had been using Capcut without knowing how to use half of those features correctly. Thanks Joris! yay!
Brilliant no nonsense tutorial. Capcut is a great tool and as you say, uncomplicated with no steep learning curve.
Love how this is more than a tutorial. You're quite encouraging and positive. Thank you for this.
I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago and now I’m using it a lot for social media stuff. it gets the job done amazingly fast
This is amazing joris, i love the colour grade and speed ramp you did at the start, i will give this a shot, thank you so much :)
A couple of weeks ago I downloaded CapCut and played with it a little bit. You've just made me realize its potential! Thank you.
Yep, I was pleasantly surprised since there are some other free editors out there that still give me the shivers 😅
I tried da vinci resolve, I can tell it's not for me, Im not gonna waste my time learning it. This is the holy grail that I'm looking for. Oh by the way I like the way you present video because your face is so funny, at times hilarious. Salute!
Hilarious face. ✅ Got it! 😅 Thanks for watching. Will post more CapCut videos. 🙏🏻🔥
Agree. I’ve been on the hunt for an intuitive but powerful video editor. I think CapCut fits the bill. It’s almost as simple as iMovie, but with a lot more bells and whistles. With all the others, I find myself having to stop my flow and look up “how to videos“ on TH-cam.
This guy is a nice person. I can tell
I just found caput recently and started using it because of the caption features, but now you give me another great reason to use it. Thanks!
I love how you explain things, like I can watch you teach me more things and never get bored.
Much appreciated! 🙏🏻🔥
This is so cool. Also a comparison of video editing tools for beginners would be great. Because I do not want to spend so much money and then be stuck with something tooo complex. Price/Value comparison would be really great.
Never edited a video before because I kept getting overwhelmed by premier pro and davinci which are two amazing editing tools, but not very beginner friendly. Capcut as soon as I opened it has everything you need for most videos nowadays and it's insanely easy to use!! I am so glad there is a desktop version because it will be my primary editor software for TH-cam moving forward!
For someone is transitioning from photo editing to video editing, like for example, photoshop, this is amazing. It's a great way to star! Thanks for the video!
I’ve enjoyed your DR tutorials but I have determined ,as good as DR is, it’s like shooting a Mouse with an Elephant Gun for what I need a video editor for (drone videos). Capcut has answered the call. It’s like having a Honda with a Ferrari engine. Easy to drive with a lot of power where needed. Would love to see more Capcut videos from you like this one.
After months of using capcut you're telling me now it's that easy to edit on beat??? Why did i not know this LOL! Thank you so much 🙏🙏
Capcut is an incredible tool, just save so much time and is easy to learn. Is my one to go favorite tool to edit my videos. Great video with so much value, thank you Joris!!
Wow, this video is so helpful! and you're so good at explaining! :)
thanks buddy Haven't commented in a bit but still enjoying your stuff Congrats on 100k! One day I'll be free of the shadow ban
WOW!! Awesome work. Now looking into CapCut. Thanks, Joris!
CapCut also has a text-to-speech generator (function?, tool?) which I found quite capable. Put text (title) on the timeline, on a text track, and pick a voice from an extensive list, then convert it to audio.
Amazing explanation, amazing videography, and great to the point video. Killed it man!
Great video, I wanted to do some color coding to make my shots on gopro look better, and as a beginner who has never edited photos or videos before, decided to download divinchi resolves, but it was too complicated for me. I had a hard time getting my media uploaded into the software, let alone any editing or colorgrading. Every tutorial I look up on youtube looks and sounds different. 2 hours in and I got no where and left with a headace so I uninstalled it. Surfing through youtube today and saw this video. Downloaded capcut and as simple as it already was, it even gave step by step instructions at the start upon opening capcut. I found what I needed, and I got to edit and color grade my videos nicely. Thank you!
Oh boy, you're a genie. What did you do? That's really amazing. I need more of these smart yet powerful #Capcut tutorials.
Thank you very much for sharing the video cinematic tutorial on capcut! This is very useful because I am one of the users of the Android version of the CapCut application!
CONGRATS on the virality of this video, Joris 🙏
I haven't touched Resolve or Premiere Pro since I installed CapCut. It just runs so much better on my Macbook. No slowdowns even with 4k colour-graded footage, multiple layers and effects. Also my laptop doesn't heat up or lose battery quickly. With Premiere or Resolve my laptop gets boiling hot, the battery nosedives and I get barely 15fps when colour corrections and effects are added. Also no more proxies!
Very useful tutorial. Well done Joris !
Thanks Joris! I agree Capcut is a nice and decent video editing tool, your tutorials are a big help for an aspiring youtube creator like me
Amazing tutorial in a few minutes, thanks for sharing!
Glad to see you in my country Dominican Republic, I hope you had a very very fun trip here.
Family visit, always fun 💯💥
Great video, it was really helpful. Most people on TH-cam are just showing their fancy videos without an explanation on what they are doing.
it was helpful... thank you💯
I've been using CapCut alot for my TikToks and Reels, but Recently been using it for my vlogs too, and secretly client work 😂 . It has its limitations but its the Speed i can edit on it is insane, It Auto Proxies everything , the Color grading is easier and doesn't mess up after export (unlike Premiere Pro) It has amazing Text Animations, and transitions built in, and over all makes my life easier.
but premiere pro has more advantages like masking some parts u want to color grade like skin tones etc.. does capcut do it too? if it is doing it then it's a good one 👍. I also like the premiere pro plug-in dehancer
@@ANASG968 Oh yeh, Premiere is far superior, CapCut has its flaws, It definitely not as refined, the masking and keyframing isnt as accurate, and the cuts ect can sometimes mess up after export, also so me effects glitch out for a split second, but i can see where its pros are and use them for that
@@ANASG968 Don't forget, capcut is free, and the learning cost is extremely low, so everyone can get started quickly.
i'm using this tool from the beginning. Love it for the simplicity. Greets Joris.
Loooved it, thanks so much for sharing this!!
Amazing CapCut! And amazing Joris. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Thanks, I didn't know you could add your own speed ramp points. helped me a lot 👍
I have learned so much here. Thanks so much.❤❤❤
Recently I have been doing a lot of shorts and wanted a quick editor to do faster turnarounds..capcut seems to do the trick...this is a great video to help .. thxx
I love how u tell your stories. Good job!!
Wow 🎉 Thanks Joris - inspired and believe I can go do it too 👏👏
EXCELLENT video on some of the more advanced features of CapCut. I'm coming up to speed on CapCut mainly for the mid-level color grading features. DaVinci is more than I need at this point. Thank you for sharing your tips!!!!!
So helpful! Thank you for showing me how to do the color editing, I feel like thats been so difficult to learn on my videos!
It's just the basics but once you understand how it works, it's easier to build on top of this and create your own custom looks... 💪🏻🔥
@@JorisHermans gotta start from somewhere!
What a great video!! I've been using Capcut for two or three months and had no idea that I had these tools! Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
About the color grading , that’s what I was looking for !!! Nice nice bruh, let’s go
Nice video!! Congrats and thanks for sharing it 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks so much for this, Joris 🙏 - it seems like a really cool editor 🤘
For a free editor it's great indeed! Also, no watermarks or ads... 👌🏻💯
@@JorisHermans agreed - plus the "no ads" is a real bonus these days - thanks again, Joris 🙏 (beautiful shot of the couple walking by the way...the light through the tress is 🤯🤘)
I'm just gradually switching to FCPX but there are hype about this app. It's always good to have alternative.

This is an excelente video. We spend a lot of time editing clips for Social Media, to small business (Nothing extremely pro) and Cap-cut have the necessary for supply our needs in this plane. However is good to know that you can download variety of assets to make your job more attractive.
Wonderful! Thank you!
You're such a great teacher maaaan. I could listen to you all day
Thanks! Got another CapCut video coming up 😎🔥
@jorishermans Hi Joris, does CapCut provide a direct option to maintain different aspect ratios for photos and videos within the same project? I'm creating a project with both photos and videos but the photos are all vertical (3:4 ratio) while the video attached to it is in 16:9. If within the player I set the video in 16:9 then the photos changes too. Any idea? Thanks
Thanks, simple and efficient 😀 super explanation
What a great video on Capcut-thank you Joris
Such a great tutorial that I think I'm gonna try it!
You should! 😎
It’s simple . I love it
OMG..This guy is a genius.Thnx man

That's not about editing but it's about how amazingly you took the shots :)
Hah, thanks man! Yeah, of course, that's important too 🔥
That was a REALLY good tutorial video! Well done!!
Awesome tutorial, Going to download CapCut now. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Joris
I have watched some of your Davinci Resolve tutorials, like them. And by the way I like that footage I guess is from your last trip to Dominican Republic. I watched your blog there It was nice to watch it and I could easily imagine the feeling, the taste of those tropical fruits that I miss a lot! And I have to say I felt envious watching you drinking that out of the world coconut 🥥 water. That is such a delicious 😋 thing to drink eat.
Other thing I enjoy your comments and personal opinions, so honest, original and genuine. Sigue adelante con El buen trabajo y suerte en todo. Tambien me gusto este video acerca the cap cut, es practico y facil de user Para editarteabajos rapidos y sencillos.
This is awesome! Thanks for the tutorial.

Hello Joris please i have got a few questions for you .
1.what is the best quality for export .
2.how to setup 21:9
3.can i use video 4k60fps for smooth slow down
Thx for help
Cool! Is there a quick way to apply the same colour grading to all the clips at the same time? Just guessing here, first select all the clips?
