You have Peak, zebras, iso, focus, LUTS, log all on that iPads access to your open filmic pro app. If you combine it with a Smooth 5 which works with filmic pro, you can track your movements while you vlog.
You just answered every single question I had PLUS gave links to EVERYTHING I was looking for and needed! I appreciate how dynamic, eloquent, entertaining, and easy to watch this info video was! Thank you so much 🙏🏽
You must be the first creator on youtube to witch I comment, I just admire how well you deliver and the quality of the content is out of regularly, is fantastic. I just wish to shoot on my iPhone 13 Pro, high quality editing and colouring and you are a living proof that this is possible. I debate for long time if is possible and after watching more then an year on other youtube creators you deliver the most high pleasant and creamy videos. Keep it going, truly inspiring. Looking forward for a pack of grading iphone footage in Davinci or Lumafusion.
ahh dang that means so so much, THANK YOU! love hearing that and it’s comments like this that make it all worth it! keep creating and will definitely look into future preset packs for those applications! cheers!
Bryan, your videos literally inspired me to start filming everything with my iPhone 13 pro. I’ve bought your colour grading presets and the some of the polar pro filters. I’m amazed at how creamy the footage comes out with good lighting! People are blown away at how it looks. Thank you. I hope to start making a little bit of money off my videos for “informal moments” like filming peoples pets/hikes/parties etc. I’m having so much fun doing this as a hobby. Thank you!
As far as video editing on mobile I think Capcut has paved the way as a solid go to for in phone edits. I pretty much use Davinci Resolve, but like said Capcut has provided some decent results for me. Especially taking the features and options into consideration.
Yes! I was looking for this comment. I’m a Chef & Videographer. All of my Content for my Instagram and Facebook is done on CapCut. I never need a desktop, honestly, because it has HELLA features and options.
I started with a Samsung a51 and over time I got good at it. I did throw in a ring light and microphone that I could plug into my phone and that really improved the quality of my videos. However, I recently made a big change and I started shooting videos on my iPhone13. And I’ve gotta tell you… it’s night and day difference. This phone was made with content creators in mind. And for editing. I’ve been using KineMaster. It gets the job done nicely and I like it.
When it comes to mobile editing I use two programs together. Lumafusion on the IPad Pro and InShot. I’ve been able to match what I was getting on a PC.
VN has an iOS & MacOS app which you can airdrop the project back & forth between your phone, iPad, or Mac. Incredibly handy for starting rough edits on the plane then move to a bigger screen to finish up when I get home.
I have not used CapCut, but I will check that out and also VN ? I have Final Cut Pro, but what I’ve been using more than anything is Luma fusion on my iPad and it is pretty incredible. I especially like the key framing ability in LumaFusion, have you guys tried that one?
I’m a small TH-camr and generally use a G85 and GoPro camera. I just started filming with my iPhone 13 Pro so I’m getting use to it. I transfer all my footage to a MacBook Pro and edit using iMovie.
I use luma fusion and I think the videos that I have put out have turned out pretty well. Yes I believe a desktop software would be best but for what I have right now the luma fusion has been the best for me so far.
I totally agree, but I think it’s what you are comfortable with. I used luma fusion and final cut pro and now davinci resolve, they all work effectively with my content creation.
I use VN editor. Super easy. Great results. And I just use TH-cam’s royalty free music. For a mic I use Shure that plugs into my phone and their MOTIV video software.
I use VN as well. I like it alot. I have some visual problems with gaming videos but it seems to be a problem with the ‘screen record’ resolution and ‘photos app’ not VN editing, as when I use the camera there is no issue with pixelation. How do you access the TH-cam free music? Every time I add music in VN I see no option for this - its always my music library on itunes, or VN music? Do you do this in YT studio or some youtube app? I am using an ipad pro. I assume you are editing on ios mobile and not a laptop or desktop. Would really appreciate a reply thankyou. Cheers.
I’m going to follow this advice as far as using my iPhone and also using logic for the audio. It makes the most sense and easy to edit on my desktop program. Thanks for making this !
Super high quality. I did know this stuff before watching but summed it up clearly and beautifully communicates it with visuals. I edit everything in capcut on the iphone. Works really well and i think is quality for free and takes less time than desktop.
I'm a brand spanking new content creator, and I'm glad you played the audio from recording with the iPhone it sounds bad. I'll sure to use a real audio mic for recording. Thanks!
all i can say shooting video with iphone is the best experience..the video quality is very good.im not condem android because i have both..for video purposes i prefer iphone.n for tasks i prefer android
There is a video editor call lumafusion and there is options to add luts and also cupcut. Man i even got a ipad for the sole purpose of video editor bc computer 4k need to be so much expensive and an ipad or even an iphone some how edit 4k like butter
Just uploaded my first youtube video with a iPhone 13 pro max using a beast cage with Kenko pro series 0,75x lens and I'm loving the result, even though I'm a beginner the video quality is impressive
Great tips for video creation from the iPhone. I shoot on Mirrorless cameras but there are times I'd like to use just my phone. The audio has always been the biggest hurdle, but I do own FilmMic Pro so I will give that a shot. My other option was to use my Zoom H5 and just synch the audio but that requires a bit more planning. Great video.
I current have an iPhone 12 Pro do any other features you discuss in this video affect me differently? I don't know the difference between the two phones. Your presentation is amazing, I'm subscribing to your channel because you are very passionate and clear in the educating process. Great educator and keep up the work.!!

Always enjoy watching your content. But also am terrible at being active and encouraging. Keep it UP MAN!! I know how hard it is to keep content going. Proud of you!!
You neglected one easy/cheap audio solution - a lab mic either wired (cheap) or wireless. Gets mic close to voice yielding dramatically improved quality.
My brother gifted my iPhone 14 on my birthday, and now i am your new follower ❤️ i will try ur advice while making videos on my iPhone 14 with cinematic mode..
I got new iPhone pro so I was interesting to master how to use my camera and video and I did many research in TH-cam and I think you are the best , I subscribe already in your channel.
"plan for those sunny days" *cries in Oregonian* Very helpful content though! Appreciate the info on lighting and understanding the difference ins resolutions. Also, if someone wanted to contribute to Mood Sound Design, how would you go about that?
No one mentions that to shoot well you need 4k which eats up Storage and makes phones really slowwwww. It’s a big inconvenience to shoot via phones when limited with storage
Amazing video! What I mostly appreciated is a mix between free, very cheap and paid versions. I think broad audience of content creators is "new" and want free + below 20$ prices in recommendations and what is what you gave us. Thank you!
Amazing video I definitely like your way of teaching especially on the details and gems you gave to create content on iPhone. Thanks a bunch! Also by any chance Are you looking for any new producers for your sync library!?
Great video. I have completely shifted to my iPhone to record my travel videos now. Because in many places DSLR are restricted and grabs a hell lot of attention. Also the iphone 13 pro produces such clean videos.
