One of the best videos I have seen showing how to use a phone to record yourself. Top job mate!
Wow, thanks!
The filming process is super helpful for beginners like me. Thanks for sharing Benett! 👍thank you so much
Glad it was helpful!
When professionalism is available in the right person. Thank you, my friend, for the wonderful effort. I also wish you success in your next work.
Thank you so much!

The best video for filming with I phone i have ever seen, like to total package, Very well-done.
Awesome breakdown Benett! You put a lot of effort to share the BTS and what the Iphone 15 Pro is capable - Thanks for sharing!!
Not sure, if you remember me, but I follow your journey quite a while now and been a silent watcher recently due to 2 small kids :)
And it is really inspiring how you improved over the years. Since I'm now able to timeslot a bit more time for my creative outlet your YT journey is a real inspiration and your videos have so many useful tips which I have to practise and implement in my future videos.
Just want to thank you for your work! :)
Absolutely remember you! Thanks a bunch for the encouraging words. It's awesome to know my journey resonates with you and thanks for the continuous support! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions buddy!
@@BenettGraezer Great! Thanks for the offer! Will do if I hit road block or something :)
Wow! Amazing tutorial. Thanks a lot Benett!
My pleasure!
Beautiful.. Good work :).. Thanks for the tips, very helpful video.
Been waiting for you to make a 15 pro max video, knew it was gonna be good, thanks for the great content!
Thanks buddy!
Great great efforts u did bro , nice explained, I think no need to watch any other video after watching this tutorial ❤
Thank you so much!
I like that you clearly covered all the steps from recording to final editing in Final Cut. Answered many of the questions I had about editing Apple Log.
You are very welcome!
Awesome tutorial! The breakdown of the filming process is super helpful for beginners like me. Thanks for sharing Benett! 👍
My pleasure!
Watching the whole video was worth it. Defiantly looking forward for your next video
Awesome, thank you!
@@BenettGraezer No problem, I some footage which I shot from my iPhone and my drone if you like to take a quick look at it?
i discover you by mistake. the way how you explain and how you create this video is amazing !
You got a new subscriber!
Awesome, thank you!
You always create great, helpful content. Indeed detailed.
I appreciate that!
Outstanding Work Brother And Sound Design Was Great.
Thanks a ton
Thank you for such a great video. Finally a video I can learn from instead of all the iPhone review videos.
You're welcome!
This is such a well explained, detailed video! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Wow man, this is absolutely fantastic. Not only did you go hike to capture footage for your video, but you also recorded yourself doing that, lol, awesome!
Loved the very detailed explaining, and will buy and use everything you’re sponsoring, thanks again!
Haha yes I’m basically filming myself while filming myself xD. Glad you like it and thanks for the support! helps the channel a lot!
For people who say that their footage looks crap or colors look washed out. All you have to do is increase the vibrance. For example I use Premiere Pro for editing my videos and I increase the vibrance from 100 to 155 and that gets all my colors back in the footage.
Thx for sharing your experience 👍🏻
Sei davvero un grande. Complimenti per come spieghi tutto, per i backstage, i set, le impostazioni e tutto il resto. Grazie a te sto imparando molto.
You are very welcome!
Brilliant, well done and thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
Maybe this is the most helpful video I've ever watched about filming a video! 👏 Thank you! ♥
You're so welcome!
Should appreciate your efforts here to make such a video alone. Well edited and well explained. Good luck and God Bless ❤
Wow, thank you
Absolutely AWESOME! I learned so much from this video, AND, it was entertaining as well! Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you!
very helpful, you actually are an amazing teacher, I have watched several videos, but, your explaining is outstanding, Thank you for the upload bro
Wow, thank you!
Amazing video, mate.
You really impress!
Best wishes.
Thanks, you too!
Really helpful, you are a star. Planning to do video as well as my normal photography. New year new challenge
Great to hear! Wish you all the best 💯
Amazing as always! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You're the best!
Thank you for this fantastic in-depth tutorial! The Apple conversion Lut seems to be not ideal as it represents the colors a bit off. I hope at some point third party solutions will be available. For the hardware it would be fantastic to have a case that includes SSD, ND-filter and some kind of beefy grip. What a fantastic time to be a videographer!
You're very welcome!
the best tutorial ive ever seen, thanks.
Wow, thanks!
Awesome work bro ❤ congratulations 🎉🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome Guide man. Thanks, subbed you.
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks for the content!

thank you for this video, a lot of useful information for such a short lesson, and BTS & SHOT section was awesome!)
Thanks a lot!
This is easily one of the best videos I've seen on YT in a long time. Thank you for putting so much effort in to making it. I don't own Apple products but the way you document your process and explain why you do what you do is well worth my time watching the video. I picked up many tips that I intent to use in the future.
Hey, thanks a ton for the kind words! Really glad you found the video helpful, even without being in the Apple club. 🙌 If you ever have questions or ideas for future vids, feel free to drop them!

Outstanding work. Some sound design especialy when walking through the leaves would have brought it to life a bit more for me but still, great visuals.

Happy to help
Creative content with nice music!
Thank you very much!
Have you used luts? because the natural forests colors are not that dark. Please guide on this so as to bring up the effects like the one in your final video. Thanks.
What application do you use for the editing??
B+ not only 15 can do it, but also 14 as well.
Very good video! Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
And there was me wondering “Where has Bennet gone?” Now I know! Another great detailed tutorial. This should help the community come to grips with using the iPhone 15 Pro to make cinematic videos. Thank you!
One question - can I color grade my Pro Rez clips using Apple’s Photos Library editing tools?
Thanks a lot! I had another video planed but the publishing date was postponed. Yes you can use the photos app but the results are not as great as when using an editing software. If you want to color grade on your phone then LumaFusion allows for importing LUTs and also has scopes.
GREAT VIDEO, WHATS THE DIFFERENCE FOR RECORDING IN 25FPS OR 60FPS? KIND OF MISSIED/NOT SURE OF WHY.
Wow!! It’s really amazing, like watching a movie. ❤👍
Thank you!
Bennett grazzer live long,, you will truly be my social media mentor ❤❤
Appreciate it man 😁
Realmente eres muy bueno en lo tuyo. Felicitaciones.
Thanks!
Very helpful tips 👌
Glad you think so!
Wow, amazing. One of the better tutorials. Recently got an iPhone 15 Pro. No cage or SSD yet, but that's coming. The explanation in FCPX is perfect. Will apply some of it. The Sound Effects are also nicely and well explained. In short, you've gained a follower.
Wow thank you so much! I appreciate it 👍🏻
One last question? Why don't you use the cinematic mode?
Just looking like a wow
Thank you so much!
This is popular song seems to be titled "Another Sight of ‘Cooking Smoke’." It evokes a homesick sentiment, rising slowly like the smoke from cooking, and silently drifting away.
i subscribe to this channel because of this video sir, thank you
Thanks!
Awesome
Thanks 🙏🏻
Very usefull video👍
Thanks a lot
Thankyou sir ❤Love From India 🇮🇳
Anytime :)
Good information
Thanks
What a great tutorial i was thinking taking my FX30 to Paris now i am only gona take my Iphone Pro Max with to test it out .-)
Go for it, have fun shooting!
Does LOG HEVC in the blackmagic app work on the 128gb? Apple doing apple things here, who knows how they limited it.
Very nice video and many good tips for beginners like me. If you have the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, I would love to see a video like this of your recording with it.
Thanksa lot! Don’t have it yet, but I eager to test it out and make content around the dji osmo pocket 3 :)
Thanks for the great content. But is there a proper way to edit log footage on iPhone? I couldn’t find any app that let me use LUTs to grade. Any recommendations?
Thanks! LumaFusion allows you to import LUTs and you can also color grade your footage i there.
Thanks for the Tipp. I will check it out
Good vedio 👍❤
Thank you!
BRAVO
Thanks!
Thanks for the HDR tip at the beginning! I had a feeling that I needed to switch this on… that’s why my log footage is looking a bit crap
No problem!
I don't think that has any effect at all on the footage. I took 4 videos:
BM Camera h264 Apple Log HDR on -> 8 bit
BM Camera h264 Apple Log HDR off -> 8 bit
Native Camera Apple Log HDR on -> 10 bit
Native Camera Apple Log HDR off -> 10 bit
The clips also looked identical to my eye. As far as I can see, that setting has no effect on the footage at all.
@@MaximoJoshua Thanks for checking - but it makes sense that you can't see any difference.
I think this HDR switch only has an effect if you don't shoot in Log, as there is an extra switch for ProRes where you can choose between HDR and Log.
This means that if you shoot in Log with the BlackMagic Camera App, this setting is ignored, as Log and HDR are two completely different color profiles.
The fact that only 8 bit is used when saving Log in h264/h265 with the BlackMagic Camera App and not 10 bit, as is usually the case with Log in the iPhone 15Pro, is probably due to the fact that the API provided by Apple only supports 10 bit when recording with ProRes.
@@uldmedia yeah that is right, that was my general point, is that choosing Apple Log overrides whatever HDR setting you have. I think that setting is more for Dolby Vision stuff in regular modes
And yeah, h.264 only has 8 bit, but h.265 can do 10 bit, I think. I think its just limited to what the Camera API's expose.
For people who say that their footage looks crap or colors look washed out. All you have to do is increase the vibrance. For example I use Premiere Pro for editing my videos and I increase the vibrance from 100 to 155 and that gets all my colors back in the footage.
Hey Benett May I know which is better to shoot a film iPhone 15 pro max 512 GB or iPhone 15 pro max 1TB ?
So Nice 🤞
Thanks 🤗
I have 13 pro and i can already tell the 15 pro Camera is a million times better just by looking at this video.
I'm waiting for my new 15 to arrive, and try the camera, so excited.
Awesome! Have fun shooting 🔥
An inspiration for my (and my contents) like every video that you’re making 👈🏻
Thank you so much!
Wonderful explanation. But just a question, to take the static shots, isnt it better to use the action mode? Or does it influence the clip quality?
Action mode is recommend for action type movements where there is a lot of camera shake involved. On top of that you‘ll also lose resolution and its not good in low light.
Good job
Thx!
Another amazing post mate! wow! you put so much time an effort to share your talent! 🙏 I have a couple of questions: 1- When you turn on the HDR on the Iphone settings, to get 10 bit, I've been told that shooting HDR gets the colors all funky when editing/color correcting is that the case when you do your post? Also regarding HDR again, 🤔 I thought one couldn't shoot Log if choosing HDR on the settings? ( I am bit confused! but it wouldn't be the first time!! 😂) I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! thanks! & cheers!
Thanks a lot! I just got a comment from @MJR3218 that you don't necessarily need to turn on HDR video setting on your iPhone's camera because the Apple Log mode always records in good quality (10 bits). He filmed two videos, one with HDR on and one with it off, using the regular camera app, and both turned out to be good quality (10 bits) in DaVinci Resolve. In that case the HDR setting doesn't affect the quality when you're using Apple Log.
@@BenettGraezer thanks! appreciate it! quick question regarding you editing set up: you work with two monitors ... what specs are those...? thanks! ;)
This was an amazing video! When it comes to the different codecs: ProRes 422, 422 LT, 422 Proxy, HVEC (H.265), wouldn't anything below 422 degrade the quality noticeably and/or make it more difficult to color grade?
Glad it helped! In general, higher ProRes codecs like 422 offer better quality and color information, making them preferable for professional workflows and color grading. Lower ProRes variants sacrifice some data for smaller file sizes. H.265 can maintain quality at lower bitrates but may require more computing power for editing. The choice depends on your specific needs, balancing quality, storage, and performance. I would opt to choose ProRes LT as it generally maintains high quality while achieving smaller file sizes.
Wowww . What an awesome Video ! I just got the iPhone 15 Pro Max and I was struggling with log footage and all the video formats ! This video helped a lott brother ! Love your videos ❤. By the way , are those premium mobile luts compatible with FCP for iPad also ? I edit my videos on FCP iPad , I would really love to have them on FCP iPad
Thanks! Means a lot to me. The LUTs are compatibile with most editing apps and softwares such as Davinci and LumaFusion. I don’t think FCP for iPad supports importing LUTs at the moment but hopefully with a future update it will.
@@BenettGraezer I’ll try the LUTs in DaVinci iPad then . Thanks a lot brother! Your videos are truly amazing
Super
Thanks
question: how is this youtube video in 4k60 if you are recording in 4k25 for some shots?
do you really have to deselect the apple log from every clip by hand?
Wow!😮
Thank you!
