It also potentially allows him more time on some of his bigger projects, as long as his crew is still given enough time to do the editing and other production work they have.
@@My_Master_Waves Super Sentai isn't a genre, it's a franchise, created by Shotaro Ishinomori and Toei in 1975. The genre it's a part of is called tokusatsu, which is at least three decades older than the Toei company itself (depending on if you want to include the earliest applications of tokusatsu techniques in kabuki theatre before filmmaking really took off in Japan), and notably includes Kamen Rider, created by Shotaro Ishinomori and Toei in 1971, Ultraman, created by Eiji Tsuburaya and Tsuburaya Productions in 1966, and Godzilla, created by Ishiro Honda and Toho in 1954, all of which are still massively popular ongoing franchises to this day.

I've been really enjoying the videos with Tyson and Ajay. Great to hear additional input from people who're passionate about the series in a different, additional way from Mark
3:01 Says “Sentai shows”, footage is Kamen Rider. Now, Super Sentai and Kamen Rider are both tokusatsu shows made by the same company in Toei, and paired in the same TV time slot, but are structurally different in execution. On the note of Yamashita, having heard his work on Kamen Rider Gaim and Digimon Xros Wars(subbed version of Fusion), I think he’ll be a great fit for Daima. He knows how to make those bombastic moments hit and give calmer moments a subtle touch. I look forward to hearing what he brings to the table with Daima😄

I mean it's only natural that a Kamen Rider composer ended up composing Dragon Ball. It's basically following Kikuchi's footsteps. Love his work in Gaim and absolutely adore his work in Chihayafuru.
really great video. Personally i really liked the subdued tracks of ep one and it made excited for the future as it felt like the music would ramp up with the plot as it goes along and tht just has me so excited. Cant wait for what the series has install
From what I've heard of Daima's soundtrack in episode 1, and the trailers (which has that John Williams-esque sound to it) I think Daima will have a memorable and amazing soundtrack. All the JP composeres (even stinky plagiarist Kenji Yamamoto) never missed the mark.
The sound that ur explaining is actually a thing from the 70s disco called a lazer tom (took alot of research from months ago 😭 )thats in alot of songs of that time.
that was unexpectedly awesome. It's true that music is a big part of a lot of medium and can make or break a scene so learning more was very pleasant, thanks guys for shedding some light on the composer :)

I'd like for less if that means more low quality videos like this.
So fun fact: The "Sentai shows" are also made by Toei.
As are Kamen Rider.
And even the Digimon anime he scored.
