I don't think a being native to MAKAI is necessarily a "demon". Makai is not exactly the same as hell... Makai seems to be more of a world where native life is like life in the outside world.
We don’t currently know where king Kai is from. Kai’s are not a species, Kai is a station. The supreme Kai and his kind are from the Glind race making them from the demon world, but this is not necessarily the case for king Kai. And assuming that his species IS from the demon realm it’s exceedingly likely he didn’t create the genkidama until after he or his people left the demon realm.
One of my favorite things about Daima is the wish. It didn't change anyone mentally. Which means Goku does his best to act like an Adult but now that he's a kid again he's basically free to do all the silly stuff he wants to do.
Knowing that Akira toriyama made this all I'm going to say is that this is probably going to be the greatest send-off to his franchise ever put together and that he wanted to make something very special before he left us. That's what I believe

theres a year between buu saga and daima. its likely goku was able to surpass gohan in this time, or gohan slacked off enough to become weaker than goku

Gohan was way stronger than Super buu so I can't help but feel like one year would of been enough for Goku to catch up even if Gohan started slacking.
One thing I expect to happen at some point is one of the guardians is stronger than expected and force Goku and Vegeta to eat the bugs to fuse. Because the bugs are shiny and spherical, I would not be surprised that they are actually a base component of potara earrings, so any that fuse with them will get a potara fusion without the attached jewelry, thus mini Vegeto makes his debut. I just hope that a) he finishes the fight(s) this time and (b) the fusion lasts long enough to see him interact with other members of the cast. Especially bulma since I wonder what her reaction to him would be.

Before watching this video, my own prediction for Daimas ending was that Glorio works for someone begrudingly who isn't Kadan (which was confirmed a week ago with his phonecall with Arinsu) who would turn out to be the mainvillain. Gomah and his underlings reminded me too much of the Sandland group for me to be sold that they are bad guys. They are charismatic in a non-villainous kinda way and could easily be protagonists of their own story. Gomah has already been shown to be easily manipulated when his ego is targeted, so I could easily believe that all the bad things done in his name stemmed from Arinsu sowing seeds of selfdoubt, especially since this has already been shown to be the case in Episode 1.
Wasn't it Gomah's second wish to obtain the Tertian Oculus, back when their impression was that Shenron was going to give them three wishes? That means that the theory that Degesu's wish is also that makes literally no sense, since when he asked to make the third wish, he already knew that Gomah was going to ask for that as his second wish.

I think it's completely possible that Arinsu is not only fighting for the funding of her experiments, but that the events of Daima are also a part of an experiment.
This is my headcanon: I believe that Diama is trying to make Fusion Reborn cannon in some way. This will be achieved through what I believe will be a coup led by Arinsu against Goma. Try and follow me here. Bibidi and Babidi are both basically confirmed to be from the demon realm, babidi not so much because he was a clone but still. Anyways, why did babidi get control of Dabura? I believe that’s why Arinsu kept going to earth. She was most likely working with Babidi to get rid of her brother Shin who was selected as Kai while she was left in the demon realm. I think she then convinced or tricked Dabura into going to earth or led Babidi into the demon realm to overthrow Dabura as unlike Goma, Dabura was an imposing and scary leader. In the first episode when Goma watched buu get defeated and was freaking out, arinsu was in the background reacting with no emotion, almost as if she knew that Buu was going to fail. This is where Janemba comes to place. In fusion reborn he is created after what looks to be a demon employee acts a catalyst for the soon to be monster when a pump of pure evil blows up next to him. This is similar to how Goku fell into the spirit bomb and took in all of its energy. What if now instead of evil, Goma ends up next to the collected time tank when it will blow up and he merges into Daima Janemba, who instead of manipulating space can now manipulate time. The Oculus would then activate as some kind of new majin mark to gain absolute control of Daima Janemba as we see that Babidis majin magic can be resisted if someone is strong willed. Also worth while to mention this is where the new fusion bug would play into effect and piccolo acting as Piccon
She wasn't left in the Demon Realm. According to Shin, she had the option to go but chose to stay because the Demon Realm offered more excitement than the outside world.
21:00 Mark, I can't believe you spent 20 minutes theory crafting and didn't take that last step in reference to OG Dragonball callbacks. It's the return of Demon King Piccolo (but it's okay, he's a good guy this time.)
I feel like Nevas the biggest wildcard since he showcased the ability to not only gather the dragonballs, but also remove the cooldown. Maybe his powers rely on lifeforce which is why he gets lifeforce from Gomah in return. Either way, he seems like he'll be a key part in either a villains unrevealed plan or help undo everything at the end.
My theory: The Tamagamis get their asses kicked, Gomah appears to fight the heroes, Arinsu interrupts the battle, reveals the truth about Glorio, steals the Dragon Balls and wishes for the new beings (aka, new Majin Buu clones) to rise, thus they become the true final bosses for the adventure
Mark: The earth’s dragonballs are based on white magic. Perhaps the demon dragonballs are based on something else… Me: Whiter magic 😮 Mark:…black magic. Me: Oh yea yea even better 😮
I must say I had negative confirmation bias going into the story, and while the start did feel a bit slow to me, I'm really enjoying this. Also thanks for the quality content man, I love how deep you go into the story while maintaining quality and quanity!

Daima is taking heavy inspiration from gt. They even added in a little girl named Panzy to take over for Pan. The first arc has been all adventure just like gt. When we get to the second and 3rd demon worlds I have a feeling it will swap to being more action oriented. We are definitely going to be getting a demon world transformation for goku and vegeta, something they can only do in the demon world so it doesn't conflict with super. Maybe demon or magic powers.
Holy shit! I’m not used to dragon ball having so much symbolism and intentionality but this all great stuff! This is one of the best daima theory videos I’ve seen and I really appreciate the staff and toriyama’s attention to using thr colors and designs to converg bits of the plot. Beautiful. I’m so excited!!! I’m not sure where the fusion fits into all this but it’ll be interesting. I’m also intrigued as to why vegeta is coming along and how that will play out. Hopefully we get some more orange piccolo lore here too!!!

Yeah, people underestimate the Toriyama gags, they WILL happen. I'm fully ready for the fusion bugs to be completely misunderstood by the audience and for do something stupid instead of letting them win a fight, or something like that. At least some of the set-up's we're getting will end up just being gags
I don't remember the name of the character, but. He who is flying vegeta, piccolo and bulma through the demon world has a red eye on his belt, and claims to wonder upon it. The dude is purple. I'm willing to bet a small amount of money that that's the magic eye goma is looking for.
As someone who doesn't like GT that much, I want Daima to rewrite SSJ4. The idea of SSJ4 being a form reached thru "Demon" energy is so fitting to me for that Primal look.
Looooving Diama! I wasn't sure about making goku a kid again but it's been super cool to see goku take different approaches to combat because of it. Not to mention how focused and consistent the writing has been.
You should check out blue dragon next. It's got the Akira toriyama art style and honestly an interesting concept f shadows fighting. Plus daima is straight up using it's art anyways when you see the animals

Shin is surprised by a lot of things. Goku is the strongest he is aware of. Gohan was largely considered stronger than Goku at the end of the cell sage, which is around where this takes place.

Warp Fish Sama said that Dr Arinsu had already left the Demon Realm for the outside as Gomah and Co left for Kamis Lookout. I think Arinsu has already made a wish and I wonder if it has anything to do with those Majin Buu copies we heard about previously.
It's just my theory, but maybe diama is why goku kind of reverted back to some of his childish ways in super. After all the progression he went through in Z.

Statistically speaking, the Daima/Demon World Dragon balls will be used to for some wish related to an aging process: 1) (DB) King Piccolo 2) (DBZ Movie) Lord Slug 3) (DB Super) Pilaf Gang 4) (DB Daima) Goku and his friends + everyone that opposed Buu 5) (DB GT) Goku 6) (DB Super Manga) Moro, technically de-aged from a wish I think 7) (DB Super Movies) It is implied that Bulma has used the Dragon balls to de-age parts of herself.
I have no idea if you predictions are going to be right, but as a Piccolo fan, I would love it! Piccolo is not my favorite character (which is Goku), but he is a close second

After the recent episode, you might be on to something. Neva definitely has a hidden hand he's playing close to his chest. Even Piccolo called him out on his "dumb persona". Him staying and waiting for the Namekians return. Him making deals to stay alive as long as possible. Him "helping" Gomah, but also having contingency plans for everything. Keep an eye on Neva, everyone.

Daima is taking heavy inspiration from gt. They even added in a little girl named Panzy to take over for Pan. The first arc has been all adventure just like gt. When we get to the second and 3rd demon worlds I have a feeling it will swap to being more action oriented. We are definitely going to be getting a demon world transformation for goku and vegeta, something they can only do in the demon world so it doesn't conflict with super. Maybe demon or magic powers.

This is one of the best daima theory videos I’ve seen and I really appreciate the staff and toriyama’s attention to using thr colors and designs to converg bits of the plot. Beautiful. Shin is surprised by a lot of things. Goku is the strongest he is aware of. Gohan was largely considered stronger than Goku at the end of the cell sage, which is around where this takes place.

Remember when Neva said "Hmm... there's been a wish made very recently on the balls"? Warp Fish Sama said that Dr Arinsu had already left the Demon Realm for the outside as Gomah and Co left for Kamis Lookout. I think Arinsu has already made a wish and I wonder if it has anything to do with those Majin Buu copies we heard about previously.
It's just my theory, but maybe diama is why goku kind of reverted back to some of his childish ways in super. After all the progression he went through in Z.
