- Removing the M119 on the 400E. Part 2 will come tomorrow. This video is mainly about removing accessories and detaching wiring and vacuum lines from around the engine to prepare for removal.
I just would like to say how tickled I am that in 2021 there is someone actively making videos regarding the m119 engine and W124 chassis. I have a 95 E420 that has been sitting that I keep swearing I am gonna tear into yet haven't. Your videos are boosting my confidence to actually do it. Thank you and keep up the awesome work!

Could you remove the fan without removing the accessory belt? I think that the belt would hold the fan’s pulley in place.
I think you might be able to depending on tension from the tensioner and condition of the belt. The tensioner on this engine is either worn or not adjusted properly so there was a lot of play in the belt. Also the belt was very dry and cracked so when trying to loosen the bolt the pulley would just spin.
One question how did u get the exhaust off when the engine is still in the car? Cuz I can’t get to the 2 bolts at the collector. On passenger side
I got the exhaust out when the car was on the lift at the shop. The two flanges that join the front and rear sections were tricky still. I believe I had to use a combination of extensions and U-joint sockets.

Кроме того, мне пришлось снять выпускные коллекторы с двигателя, который я купил, потому что они отличались от выпускных коллекторов 400E. Двигатель, который я купил, был от 400SE.

Depends on shipping costs. The connection on one side was a little boogered up when trying to separate them. They were rusted together pretty good.
