Mercedes M119 V8 Engine Inspection Part 6: Spark Plug Removal, Inspection and Replacement

In this video Kent continues his series on inspecting a M119 engine. These were the big 4.0, 4.2 and 5.0 V8's built by Mercedes during the 1990's. Many consider this one of the best engines built by Mercedes Benz. That does not mean you can ignore it. If you get a Benz with one of these engines you must inspect it carefully and the spark plugs should be high on your list. Why spark plugs? Kent will explain the three reasons why (even if someone has recently replaced the plugs) and show you some real good examples of potential problems. He also shares a few tips that will help you safely remove and replace the spark plugs in your own engine.
