And what indie game dev would ever make an only online multiplayer shooter with "realistic" (authentic?) Weapons during between the 2000's to the 2010's
It would offer some variety at this point.
Indies pretty much keep farting out early 90s Doom clones.
AAA is either online only or giant boring open world time wasters with RPG elements.
AA is basically dead except for stuff like Terminator Resistance or the Sniper Ghost Warriors/Contracts games.
There are several Indies trying to be immersive sims, but they both aren't out yet.

nice to see an FPS Creator game here, sadly it's one of the worse ones. there are far better games made on that engine out there, like Amytric Pulse or Game: The Game 3
And don't forget Into the Dark, that's one of my personal favourites.

I do have a couple favorites from the early 2000's military shooters, but I am inclined to agree with you. My nostalgia for the genre comes almost exclusively from Delta Force and Marine Sharpshooter. Those were some of the first shooter games I played growing up, alongside Unreal Tournament and the Gearbox port of Halo: Combat Evolved, which I quickly expanded into Custom Edition.

From what I remember, but I might be wrong, the M1014 is actually the Benelli M4.
Yeah M1014 is just the US military designation, like how the Sig Sauer P320 is the M17 in US inventory (albeit modified somewhat), or how the Beretta 92fs is the M9 in US military service.

3:35 that second monitor problem you mentioned. If you dont know, you can use windows+shift+rightarrow or left arrow, to move focused window to second monitor. Seriously, that thing saved me from alot of unpluging the hdmi and alt+f4's

The necromorph ripoff looks like Po from Slendytubbies 2 and the weapons look like a mod I'd see in a Unreal Tournament 2004. Also this was one of the funniest video i've watched from you along with your Haze review.

As a possible workaround for this game's controls, would it be possible to program your keyboard to input those commands like CRTL+0 as one key? I see in the background you've got a Corsair board with all those G-keys, you'd probably be able to work out a control scheme that revolves around those after binding those g-keys (crtl+0 to G1, macro for t+e on G2 to pick up and interact with items, etc) It might be more cumbersome but you don't have to take your hand off the mouse that way! :)

@@battlion507 They made a PC port of the 2 games (I think they are on Steam), for consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) they just made the second.
I gave up on this game since the mouse sensitivity was off for me and I couldn't get it right (even with the tips to fiddle with some files).

I would like anyone who is familiar with the FSI script language that that engine used, to try and explain or reason why the duel weapons wield would be programmed like that.

i checked the game on steam . it seem it get some updates but seem people still got some issues like the control and stuff . the same devs/devs team ? working on new game called "ETERNAL BLOOD"
Eternal blood have nice looking screenshot but they show enemies and environment . no guns . the dev say "Hi guys! We plan to release the game in early Q2 2020. More information will come in the next few weeks." i think worth it's checking it out . who knows. it may turned good (probably we will get it in early access)

Well, inverted mouse controls are good if you're used to Flight Simulator. I remember playing a lot of flight simulators, and later, feeling wierd, after trying to play Quake 2... "like a normal human being". So yeah, bascially, for most people, this is an useless option, but there are some people who... just need it.
That's one seriously roundabout way of doing dual wielding.

The US is large so I can only speak for my small region in the Pacific northwest but for us it's been really mild.

The 1st two Metro games? Definitely. Metro Exodus? Nope.
The indie scene just pumps out early 90s FPS games.
Trepang2 is the only one that looks different as it's trying to be a successor to FEAR.
Genome Soldat I’d agree exodus feels more like far cry 2. But metro 2033 is very similar to HL1

Here's a minor detail a lot of shooters with rifles that have X shaped gun flashes that rotate around as you shoot, in real life if that happens it means your muzzle brake is coming loose and about to be shot off. Those aren't supposed to freely spin around.

This feels more like an early 2000s game because the engine this game is running on, which is FPS Creator, IS from early 2000s. An engine that it's notorious for being highly unstable, especially between loading screens. I really hope you'll never stumble upon a GameGuru game, because if you think this is bad... uff, I don't know what you would think of those then.
Also, I see that this game uses some stock assets, like the Necromorphs, and some guns probably too. And sounds. And some scenery pieces.
I remember the Necromorph was used like 7-8 years ago in a game called The Curse of Blackwater too.

This thing was made in FPS Creator which is a set of tools for non-programmers to make games like these. Issue is they always come out looking really similar as they all re-use the assets that come with it and have that weird washed out look you mentioned. Oh boy are they clunky as ever, too. The AI system baked into that engine is dreadful and the inability to pick up enemy weapons and weird dual wielding are just quirks of the system. Grid-based level maker would explain the boring level design too. But yeah, if you're looking for more torture like this i'd recommend diving into the countless games made on this that have ended up on steam.

Forcing a player that got used with Hold ADS to use Toggle ADS is like forcing a left-handed to write using right hand

Jarek, please do Project IGI! Its going to be a treat for you! Or maybe just go to IGI2, since its a bit better. IGI is a "stealth" game but *can absolutley* be played going balls to the walls. Altough it havent aged well at all, its nice little hard fps that I think maybe you would appreciate.
Project IGI is exactly the game I had in mind when I said old military shooters have not aged well. Playing it today is pretty miserable.

But playing it back in the old times as a kid and replaying it now makes you appreciate the game at the very least,Like for a 2000 game i find it to be rather impressive and It's a surprise to see you actually tried it out.
