A classic sequel that leaves any fan desperately wanting more, but all these years later another TimeSplitters game is yet to be released!
In this review I take a look back at an old favourite from 2005, and see how it holds up..

An utterly superb game, my all time third favourite game. We REALLY need a Timesplitters 4.
Hopefully we get an update sooner rather than later! It better not get cancelled! Haha

Loved this game back in the day, it was the last great classic shooter i played before everything went into the boring 2 weapon limit/regenerating health that became big in the 00's.
Its a shame we would never get so much content in games these-days, whole series need a good HD remaster collection.

YO, 2-4 players local deathmatch IS how these games are meant to be played. It's absolute insanity. The best kind of insanity.
Yeah, this game was a favourite of mine to rent back in the day for that very reason!

With sequel chances getting less and less likely, it's one hell of a game to go out on!
Great video review of a great game - funny and you can tell how much you love playing it!
Would be fantastic for someone to do an updated TS for the new hardware available today, while keeping the atmosphere and humour of the original trilogy.

That was a clean review my dude 10/10. I remember when I saw Xbox added it to backwards compatibility its still as good as I thought.

Played splitscreen in 2 and 3 all the time when I was young. Had it on GCN.

The TimeSplitters trilogy is of the absolute best FPS's of all time!
It was confirmed back in 2021, that TimeSplitters is making a return - developed by Free Radical Design, including some of the original developers!
We'll see what comes of it, especially with talk of more financial issues coming out from the parent company!
As far as classics go, let's hope we at least see something about Perfect Dark next year! Haha

The multipayer for this game was fucking epic...The fact they didnt take themselves to seriously and had a shit ton of cheesy options for multiplayer...Like burp or fart sound effect for guns...just classic to 12 year old me.
It definitely got the balance right, and made everything super fun!
great game, the map editor has a bug where if you add too many doors they stop working iirc.

i loved time splitters 2 on the ps2 as a kid, barely remember 3 and i never played the first game, good video mate

3 was always the main one for me, I played the demo heaps, and when I rented it the multiplayer was great with friends!

@@FrostFire1987 yeah, I got internet pretty late, so I had to rely on them. MGS3 had a cool playable demo also!
@@THHDReviews I remember being able to play metal gear solid 2 and it made out like you would be playing as snake...then you end up as a lady boy, great game though, love metal gear, shame konami is a different beast now
Probably my favorite FPS series of all time, didn't really like the first one but this and Timesplitters 2 are the best.
I'd say with such strong sequels it would make up for any shortcomings from the first! Haha
No, I thought TS 1 was a disappointment. It did some things right, and was fun, but was a let down, especially considering that many of the same people had also made Goldeneye (N64) and Perfect Dark. But TS 2 and Future Perfect are both utterly fantastic.
Though I prefer Timesplitters 2, I still love this game. It's a shame they somewhat recently shut the studio down that was working on Timesplitters 4 😭
Yeah, who knows if they'll have someone else pick up the project, but it ain't looking good!
I think this was the first game in the trilogy I beat then I finished the others later. I believe I had 2 first but got stuck at some point and didn't actually finish until after this one.
Fair enough, I think this one is easily beatable on the standard difficulty, but I'm yet to really dive in deep into the first game!
@@THHDReviews Honestly I suck at shooters, which is why I play most of them on either the easiest or second easiest difficulty. And why I never play online multiplayer shooters. Playing with friends is one thing but in solo multiplayer online I'm getting shredded enough that its no fun, and in team multiplayer I'm more a hindrance then a help to my team.
i mean, a fan sequel is in the work called rewind. But the idiots at free radical are like "yeah we're gonna make it as well". But it's just talking from them.
But besides that ? A goat game i'm still playing today.
We'll have to see if their parent company doesn't shut them down first! Haha
don't think they will after the talking they did with them. But I'm coming from Call Of Duty, and when I saw what activision has done from BO4 to MWIII ? I don't see big triple A studios caring about video games anymore (except rebellion, or valve to only quote 2)@@THHDReviews
