Some people go to a psychoanalyst to deal with their obsessions, KK writes a song. Cheaper, healthier but it requires a talent wich is only reachable for the true Metal Hearts
Hey KK & Co.....Please play this awesome song LIVE! I've seen you guys twice on the current tour and while the shows were great, I desperately want to hear this LIVE!!!!!
You must listen to Judas Priest too. I feel the same way what you feel (listening to electronic music in my whole life), but try the original source. They are the best!
How can anybody be disappointed in this from the greatest heavy metal band that ever walked the planet it's a 58 year old American man I've always loved Judas Priest and this is proof after 50 years that nobody can shine their shoes they are the Tom Brady of heavy metal 50 years the only ones can come close is iron Maiden and kiss but it's also the class of music when his Judas Priest really ever let you down in 50 years ? We don't need a Rock and roll Hall of Fame to prove how great somebody is the greatness of what they are are within our hearts and our memories and the sad part of life is that when you die your ears no longer work and in which you can no longer enjoy these wonderful sounds that we were given in our lifetime in our generation thank you Judas Priest for a great 50 years and God bless all these be safe and we couldn't have asked for more !!
You nailed it. Marvellously formulated, sincere, heart - warming thoughts. Thank You on behalf of all of us. Long live KK , the embodyment of the purest heart, soul, spirit and blood purest
You don't have to miss KK anymore. And I think it's better for all concerned - and therefore for the fans, too - that he is not in JP anymore. It was a bit ridiculous that he tried to ask himself back after all he had said about his former bandmates, but anyway I'm glad he's doing his own thing now. :)
@@Wanderer_1877 Glenn is done. They should have K.K. back for the sake of the fans. Having a producer out there playing songs K.K. wrote is ridiculous. K.K. was in the band before any of the current members.
You know a song is good when 9 minutes pass and 1) it doesnt feel like 9 minutes 2) you want 9 more minutes. What a journey this song take the listener on.
Great work I love the evolution of KK. Late 70’s I saw priest standing room only close to the stage at the Palladium in New York City. KK threw his guitar pic into the audience. I looked down it was right by my foot. I quietly picked it up I still have it to this day. Light blue plastic with a circle on one side with the word thin written in the center and on the other side a circle with the word HERCO surrounded by an oval circle inside that circle.
Ripper Owens' vocal range is quite impressive. Thank you KK's Priest for the musical journey we have been waiting for. Congratulations to all. Now let's take this on tour.
THIS is the BEST Priest album since NOSTRADAMUS!!! K.K. is the Priest! And if "The Ripper" goes on like this he'll be METAL GOD 2nd. Thank you for this great album.
That's not saying much. Nostradamus was a dog shit album. This sounds OK but reminds me more of Iron Maiden than Priest. Fairly cheesy lyrics and vocal.
For me I'd probably put Helloween above it, but this is a very close second. This song is definitely song of the year, tho! I don't trust people who didn't cream themselves at that riff 1:55
The ending brings me back to old 70s Priest when they really had some feeling and emotion, and not just trying to write radio friendly songs. Halfords vocals on Run of the mill are still my all time favorite vocals
They had to do the radio friendly thing to make it. Their live shows always featured their gems from the late 70s, but sadly they don't perform Run of the Mill. Also, this album sounds nothing like 70s priest. This is 90s Priest all the way, from start to finish.
The acoustic slow breakdown at the end of the song is the same chord progression as the breakdown in the original Sentinel, making it a beautiful and clever callback to the original. Fantastic job, KK!! Great to have you back.
Agreed. This perfectly dovetails with the original The Sentinel! This album has injected some much needed representation from one of the original Metal Masters - KK Downing.
There's actually a few parts from the original, along with the chord changes played backwards (opposite from the original Sentinel). Pretty inventive 👍.
Old metalhead here, I’m 55 and I have been a Priest fan since 1978 when I was 12. It is extremely exciting to see KK back in business, this album is excellent!!, album of the year in my opinion.
I’m also 55, physician, and Metalhead since 1978, my 1st car 1975 Monte Carlo had Defenders of The faith huge bumper sticker. Hope Richie heals nicely, and Glenn is doing great. Had some drinks 🍺 after the Philadelphia Painkiller tour
They are arguably the worst Priest albums, but he covered the old stuff good. It was too Pantera-ey. I know they are on here but I don't thin kyou can hear them on Spotify etc.
I wish the very best for ALL the Priests. They're human like the rest of us. They've all proven theirselves to our world and I cant imagine life without them. Godspeed.
I must admit the band made a strong impression on me! I never thought i'll listen to metal again. Here the band is writing another page of music history with letters of gold.
Mr. Downing, please record an interview for subscribers about how this album was recorded, the history of its creation, it will be interesting for us to listen to you and Tim, as well as the rest of the members of KK's Priest🤘🏻
Definitely. That's just how powerful the track is. There's also a lot of nostalgia if you loved the original Sentinel, as it feels like the death of an old friend. I firmly believe he'll be back. 👌

5th time around and I'm eating my words from my previous comments. This song brought tears to my eyes. I absolutely love this song. Tim......AWESOME job my friend. The Guitar solos and exceptional bass playing really make it over the top. Finally a bass player who can PLAY!!!!!
The way the song goes from 160 mph to 40 mph is amazing., This is definitely KKs band.. and Ripper’s voice is spot on., He’s Back.
The Rise of K.K. The Priest Has been Reborn
That slow down and reverb on the guitars on the back half is beautiful. Metal needs a lol more of that back in it.
Bass lines are crushing.
Wow I’m 65 good lord This is inspiration to us all what metal is and should be great work Ken Downing just Incredible!

This band brings it and one more shot at glory on new album sold me that this is best band out for me
The whole concept of The Sentinel just sounds like something out of a badass 80s mecha anime and I couldn't complain whatsoever.
The Sentinel is metal's Master Chief!
So great that Tim got a band to truly shine!
Probably the most contemporary true metal album in existence.
😥
I couldn't care who likes it and who don't!!! Personally, I LOVE it!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Metal is back!!!
Ripper is back !!!!
Yes!
Now we need resurrection of the sentinel
kk best guitar player in the world. the band also the best.
How magnificent is it that this many years later, they come up with this masterpiece? Rock till you die!
Tim Ripper Owens will be remembered as one of Metals greatest singers. Just as KK will be remembered as one of the best thats ever been.
You nailed it! Rob ain't the only voice in town, but kk is irreplaceable. Faulkner is 80% to kks 120%

Heavy Metal in its purest expression!!!🤘🔥🤘
best song of all songs, ever.
What a song, a brilliant ending to this, epic nod to the sentinel. KK has done us proud, he truly is a master of rock. Long live KK
This song is the perfect way to end the album. I was blown away by this 🤘🏻
That coda is entirely based on “Starglow Energy” by Captain Beyond. Check it out and thank me later. ESP the guitar melody at 7:37.
Definitely better than the shit that Judas Priest tribute band has been outting out lately.
More like Iron Maiden than Judas. ;)
The era of 2 Priests.
i dont complain! 🤘🎸
A TRUE METAL MASTERPIECE!!!!
Excellent ending
This is the best metal song of the decade. Period..
Kk still represent the pure strain of heavy metal, long life to you Kk.
Super!!!
50 years later the sentinel returns in an epic way. This is killer.
50 years??!!
Sentinel was mentioned on the JP Angel Of Retribution album.
SFV came out in 81 or 82
The sentinel was born in 1984 on Defenders of the faith
Best output from KK in decades
Amazing song/video!!!
THIS is what metal should be!!!!
The last stand of the Sentinel! Major, major feels.
I'm listening ¬30 years of Rave etc., but this is awesome
