Anyway, if you don't mind, this is basically what happens in the song; an acoustic intro > badass guitar riff > Bruce starts singing > a nice melodic but semi fast guitar solo from 3:44 to 5:10, until Bruce starts singing, then the song ends. I honestly don't know if this makes you feel better or worse, but up the irons either way

Iron Maiden has got to be the greatest band EVER. The never relent and they are never, ever, fucking bad.... I mean I follow a lot of bands but most (not all) run into issues (sliding talent, no longer get along, whatever....) I am so proud to be a Maiden fan: since age 8 and still kicking-- I'll be 49 in June!
The X Factor was the only Maiden platter that took me time to get into. And now it's about 10/10! What a great, great band... I also got into them at young age, and turned fifty a few days ago (it's just a number, not the state of mind). I am going to witness the band twice this weekend. Up the Irons! \,,/

greatness is also measured in success, and unfortunately theirs was heavily cut off because of radio not wanting to play their music. Honestly, its unbelieveable that they are this big given those circumstances, especially in era where that was the only way to reach a lot of people effectively
So I dont think they are the "greatest" band of all time, because of this factor, its not their fault but it still is a facotr, in order to be greatest (not best, this is greatness we are talking) you have to have that mass appeal and popularity. There a reason when people talk about goats in basketball they heavily underrate Tim Duncan or Bill Russell, because they werent that charismatic, they just calmly kicked a"" and took names while being on par with the likes of Lebron and Michael Jordan, they are as good as them, but not as "great" as them

I have been fighting cancer for last 7 months and needed morale to overcome this process. Nothing helped as much as this premiere. Hope to hear all the new album soon as well. Thank you Maiden!! 🤘🤘🤘

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is not worthy of Iron Maiden.
Bruce doesn't even want to be in the hall of fame, he even said that "rock and roll doesn't belong in a museum, if it's in a museum it's dead" that's what he said. He said he won't come to to the introduction to them in the hall of fame, and so would most of the band.
The "rock and roll" hall of fame lately introduced more rappers and pop singers than actual rockers, they are not worthy of Iron Maiden, not even all the other bands who have already been introduced, the hall of fame is not worthy of them.

It's amazing how they can make something new while keeping their roots.

They have 16 albums right now, and I feel like they'll want to end it on their 20th album. But just because they're finished making albums, doesn't mean that they won't play live anymore after that. I remember Steve Harris saying that Bruce even at 80% is better than most singers out there and he was spot on. Never gonna be the same Bruce from the 80's but even now after 40 odd years of touring still a force to be reckoned with, and the slightly lower register works. Works for me anyway, I managed to sing along to this one in my car without rupturing 20 blood vessels in each eye, and without shiting myself......bonus!

Saw performance of this song live few weeks ago in Kraków, Poland. This is amazing song if you dont moving to this riff and melody there is something wrong with you. Everybody on concert 20 000 people in arena was moving, clapping, dancing and singing with Bruce 😁😁😁🎸🎸🎸 One of the best concert I have ever seen and I saw Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Guns Roses and many other bands.
Man, that is so incredible!!!! I saw this music video when it came out, during the pandemic. I keep going back to it often because I think it's just one of their greatest works (of art, music, arrangement, symbolism, groove, solo, storytelling etc)! I keep seeing something new in the music video every time. As you can tell, I think this particular song is right up there with their best stuff from the early 80s, even better because it's modern but the groove is retro classic rock with more political urgency than even their old shit. So yes, truly an accomplishment.

I love them especially since their reunion 2000. Everyone says always: Compared with 1982-1984 it would be "only average bombast rock".
Those 6 albums are awesome. 6 absolute masters. The drummer is awesome. Now nearly 70! And still an ass.
They are experts how to compose an epic song. No one can do this. Many people say the songs from the last two albums we're too long. They are not! They are perfect.
The albums from 2006 till senjutsu have tendencies of progressive rock. I love them.
So every Maiden disser should listen their albums properly. You always explore new things. Very complex music.Maiden don't need to deliver hits anymore. They make what they want. And since 2000 better than ever.
The only really bad Albums were from '92 till '97. But 3 bad ones of 17! Chapeau✌️.

Fear of the Dark (1992) was NOT a bad album. In fact it's a great album. It's just done in more of a hard rock style, rather than the usual bombastic metal style. That's why people don't like it. But I love it!

I’m going to be 55 in 09/2024 and have been listening to Maiden since I was 14 and for years now have my Son into them and he plays them on his guitar … incredible … and yes they should be in the rock and roll hall of fame by now … long Reign Eddie !!
