We now use the Antoine Scale for our delight in food (at home or in the restaurant): Top to bottom are: “Kiss of the fingertips,” “Shake of the hand,” “Finger trill with OK handsign,” “Nod of the head (with the eyeroll!!),” and the occasional “Shimmy.”
Antoine…would this be the right order??? We greatly appreciate the significant effort that you two put into these wonderful videos!!!
Everybody else...is this a good and correct scale???

Oh and those avocados with shrimp and a mayo-based sauce are such classics! I remember eating that starter in London in the 90s so often, and even though it's considered super old-fashioned and not trendy (in the UK anyway) now, I still love it. It's just a delicious flavour combination and that never goes out of style. First restaurant also looked absolutely perfect!

I followed your recommendations as a guide during our stay and cannot praise Le Prince Racine enough. The food was exceptional - we ordered the same dishes that you recommended, the goat cheese salad and the flank steak with fries. Despite the owner/manager's limited English, we managed to place our order using my basic French. He was extremely helpful and made our visit pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant. Additionally, the souffle place you suggested was outstanding, and the pistachio souffle was a definite highlight of our visit.

Excellent post about the spring time food selections in Paris. It’s so nice that Les Frenchies thoughtfully did so in this post as menus certainly change with the seasons. Croque Madame is one of my all time favorites especially when it’s prepared like they do at Le Bouquet Des Archives. So perfectly prepared and presented. Not too many cafes prepare it like that. And while I agree with Colleen about drooling eggs, it’s impressive that they give you the option as I prefer omelettes slightly runny. Ill be staying on Rue Rambuteau this September and will definitely check this cafe out. Thank you and please keep up your great content. Josef.

These videos are basically torture (sadly I do not live in Paris) but I watch them anyway! The food always looks so damn good, and I do remember that about Paris, that you can almost randomly walk into a restaurant and it's a good bet the food will be excellent. I appreciate the content, this channel does a very good job of showing the city, showing the food, and keeping the blather to 'informative' rather than 'stop talking, get to doing,' which is what I find tedious about soooo much of TH-cam's travel content. Request: best jambon beurre in the city? Would love a video on that!

We say in France that boudin noir should be refunded by Social Security because it is so good for health.

I went to Le Soufflé in February. I enjoyed the meal but the best part was the raspberry soufflé-every bite was raspberry infused & when you dug into the middle of it, there was a little cascade of chocolate hearts that fell into a pool of melted chocolate. It was DIVINE.

The black pudding & mash looks fab. I like black pudding but I am not sure that I could eat such a large sausage. Does look tasty though.

We did La Soufflé on our last visit. You really should’ve tried the dessert soufflé. They bring you the entire bottle of alcohol to put on your soufflé . Lots of fun, but could be dangerous.
