My wife and I have been lucky enough to visit Paris twelve times. While we know the city well, we just bought your Paris Travel Guide so during our next trip we can visit some of the restaurants you've reviewed. We're also always on the lookout for hidden parks and gardens in the city, so your tip about the Le Jardin des Archives nationales is most welcome.
Just wanted to thank you for the amazing contents you create! We just came back from our trip to Paris and to be honest almost all our trip was based on your videos😀 we have visited the places that you recommend in your videos, gone to different bakeries, cafes, and restaurants and I can say that all of them were amazing and were the same way that you described. Keep up the good work 👍
So Beautiful Frenchies, a short love story! My 97 year old father who lives in Fort Lauderdale decided he needed a “vacation” after 4 years. Last time he stayed with my family in Austria where I have lived for 33 years. We are all born in New York and lived in the city for most of lives. I was born on his birthday so we were always extremely close. I was a chef by profession and we have been to Paris many times although I hadn’t been to Paris in over 20 years. I thought my father was crazy for wanting to even make the trip and my brother who is a doctor traveled there with him. Well, a dream came true and we were able to have a FANTASTIC time but the trip took its toll on him. He has a 20 year old heart but he has mobility issues and the jet lag was difficult to overcome. He was a real trooper and interested in everything he saw and ate! My brother went down the list of where Jennifer Lopez and Ben went to eat in Paris on their Honeymoon so ONLY THE BEST! I told my father about your TH-cam channel and we both watched “to get our mouths watered” with excitement! OH, how much I enjoyed every moment with my father on his last GREAT adventure! He too was moved to tears. Really the best thing I saw in Paris was my father! We were both inspired and completely in AWE of Bibliotheque nationale de France 🇫🇷 which we agreed we could spend another 2 years exploring their incredible treasures. I had read about it in The New Times and he wrote back. “WE MUST SEE THIS” I’m sure your subscribers would be interested if you make a video there! If I ever win a lottery or my father a powerball lottery then I will buy an apartment there. I found the people extremely open and friendly (Austrians are not as open) and I had some amazing encounters with them. I’m back home and there’s no place like where I live which is PARADISE FOUND! My father is extremely happy but exhausted! I will keep on watching because you’re both really beautiful people ❤️🌞👍🇫🇷
Wow ! Your dad's a trouper ! 🤗 So happy for you that he could make that dream trip. And with a doctor in the family, he obviously was in safe hands. 🌳🌳👨⚕️🍷🧓🍷👩🍳🍷⛲️ My dad is 95. He had a stroke after Christmas, but is back on his feet again... Hopefully our dads will both live to celebrate 100 ! 🇺🇲🥳 🥂🍾 🥳 🇧🇻 Love from Norway 💖
What a wonderful story and trip 😍 I am so glad you all enjoyed this trip together ! You are right, Bibliothèque Nationale rue Vivienne is a gem since they finished all the works they did during several years… it used to be VERY difficult to be allowed to work inside (I was lucky to work in the Ovale some times…) but now anyone can go and read comics 😃 And there is a little cafe (Rose Bakery), not bad. And the museum upstairs is amazing
@les frenchies You could definitely do a video on the amazing public libraries we can access for free in Paris! This is just incredible. For me, reading the art magazines in bibliothèque Forney makes me feel I’m a queen 🤩🤩
I have lived in the Marais for over 7 years and you two showed some great spots. This is a HUGE quartier in Paris and would take years to document all of the amazing eateries! Breizh café is a chain, with the original located in Cancale, Bretagne overlooking the ocean. I love to visit that location. Rue Rambuteau is one of my favorite food streets in Paris, I am so glad you shared that location.
Dear Frenchies! Your videos are the BEST! Love the expressions on your faces when you try something delish! Your knowledge of little shops is amazing and really give an insiders view of Paris! Thank you!!
Another excellent video. In May we stayed on Rue Caron in le Marais and rue des Rosiers was our favorite place for lunch. But if you can believe it we had the best pastrami sandwich in our lives at Schwartz’s on rue des Ecouffes, (we grew up in nyc so we kinda know Jewish deli). My wife and I were laughing, saying, “ who comes to Paris and brags about their Pastrami?”
Hello 👋 … I was exactly looking 4 a place where I can try the famous-tick chocolate in Paris …. Thanks for this video 😊 …. I’m also looking for a nice place for an afternoon tea 🫖 … any suggestions ?? … ( I replied to your mje … about the air hot balloon ) Thanks 😗
Love this! We stayed right across from Jacques Genin in September and what a treat it was. We missed out on a lot of places this trip because it was my first time and we wanted to hit all the sights but next time we will be slowing down and taking time to enjoy the food. Love your food tour.
❤ brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! ❤️🔥 I have been a big fan of yours for quite some time and I am now In my fifth day living in Le Marsis on holiday. Today I found this video after returning this evening and it is so much fun to see what I now know of this neighborhood through your eyes! I wholeheartedly concur with your process and selections! 🇫🇷Merci beaucoup, les Frenchies, e’ Manifique!🎉
I love your videos. I envy your lifestyle. You must be having the time of your lives exploring Paris. Yeah I know you’ve got site businesses but oh my God what an opportunity you have ahead of you and you are helping the rest of us by putting out these wonderful videos. When his hand starts to shake and then the entire arm starts flapping OMG it must be good!! 😉 We ate crepes at that place!! Delicious and the service was so friendly. (They have a menu in English) Great video
Hi You Two! Simply adore all your content... Since you are my favorite gourmands and Lyon rivals Paris gastronomically, would you consider traveling to Lyon and selecting a few select spots there after the holidays perhaps…just a suggestion that I feel would be appreciated by all the foodies that follow you.
We stayed very close to Place de Vosges when we were in Paris in June. One day, my family of 4 all got food to take away from different restaurants in le Marais....ranged from jambon-beurre, sushi and pastries ......such a lovely place for a picnic and then seeing where Victor Hugo wrote Les Miserables....incredible afternoon!
The raclette wrap from Thomas Artisan Fromager is something else, definitely a must have. They had just ran out of aligot when we got there, will try again tomorrow. Thank you Les Frenchies for the videos you make.
I am so glad that I am not the only one raving about the quality of the products of La chambre aux confitures !!! My absolute favorite confitures! The worlds best !!!!❤
Great vid, some new places to add to my list of where to go next time in Le Marais. Best thing I had there was the roast chicken pitta at Miznon, can recommend!
I love how excited you guys both get with good tasting food. That raclette wrap looks amazing. Noted and placed on our list. Thank you for all this helpful information.
I love these videos! I would love to see recommended food spots near the Eiffel Tower because that’s a touristy area and would love to find some hidden gems
We love watching your videos! As I mentioned in a previous post, Our family just came back from Paris and we applied a lot of your recommendations and we loved it. Now that we've recovered from the jet lag, we go back to watch more of your adventures on Utube and we absorb even more information. Thank you!
I torture myself each evening by watching these food oriented videos of yours before bed, but really I'm loving every (imaginary) bite I'm sharing with you both. The video on 10 street food eats is still running 'round my taste buds. Looking forward to our next meal(s).
Hi guys, great video. I’ve been to Paris 5 times. Absolutely love it. Going again next April/May. Have you lived in Paris for very long? I have some friends who live there and that’s who I stay with. I still get lost on the metro lol. I think I am one of the few who has the entire Louvre museum lol. It’s my favourite place. I wrote down some of the places you mentioned. Look forward to seeing them. Anyways have a good one eh!😁🇨🇦
@@LesFrenchiesTravel I will thanks. I will let you know when I am there and maybe we can go for dessert and a coffee. Coffee crème is my favourite. 😁🇨🇦
Ahhhh, "friends at KUMA." Love them. KUMA is the best place in Le Marais, hands down! We must cross paths constantly based on your recs. And y'all are trés adorable!
I would love to try all of these! We did stay in Le Marais several years ago but it looks as if its got even better as all the food looked so yummy! Keep doing what you’re doing. Oh and one thing- I know you’re American but was so pleased to see you using your cutlery correctly. ( Or at least correctly according to my standards🤣).
Hello Hello, Huge Thank for that Beautiful....refreshing my memory, exactly ...one of my visit in Paris, I did it slowly slowly, part by part. AMAZING. Always left taste of More. Great Love from Israel 5.10.2023
We were in Paris this weekend. We went to the crepe shop you recommended as we stayed in the Marais and it was only about 5 minutes from our hotel. We also went to the jam shop to pick up some souvenirs and some for us. So delicious. Thanks for your tips!
Thank yo😊u so much! Love your food tours. I lived in Paris (for a short while) and wish I had your suggestions. Looking forward to eating my way through Paris next time with your guidance. You two are so much fun!
We love all the food recommendations. Thank you Colleen and Antoine !! We planned our days in Paris around this video and so appreciate all the tips and food recommendations ! We definitely love the Norte dame Apple. What an exquisite dessert and cute shop. When I took a bite, I wanted to do a finger dancing like Antoine. 😂 The staff were wonderful and helpful too. That really made my day. Thé raclette wrap at the Thomas artisan Fromager was delicious and made a nice snack between meals. I can see why Colleen loved it so much ❤ We also stopped by Breizh cafe for savory crepes(galette) for dinner. The food was delicious as you showed in the video. Service was not good unfortunately :There was no help or explanation of the menu from the waiter. The salad we ordered never came and they up- charged us for the speciality item of the day. At the end, they also blatantly asked for tips. That was really disappointing to us. I saw another person posted about this restaurant asking for the tip on FB page last month too. I felt that the restaurant is busy enough for locals and don’t really cared for providing equally positive experience for tourists sadly. I’d recommend that people try other crepe place, and start taking pictures of the daily special menu if you go there, so there’s no dispute at the end. An important lesson was learned for me today!
I just added all this place to my google map, at his point I think I will have to stay a whole year in Paris to able to eat all the places to guys have recommended. I’m looking forward to add more places.
So nice to know there is a Brazilian food in Paris! Try the tapioca with condensed milk and coconut, I think you will like it. The jalapeño is not the Brazilian food, our culture there are different peppers.
Thanks for the tips. Let's not forget falafels at L'as du falafel - for falafel sandwiches - and La Boutique jaune for excellent Ashkenazi pastries. Both are located Rue des Rosiers. Florence Kahn is very good too.
I loved this food tour. When I travel to Paris, I will definitely visit the locations featured in the video. What better way to explore the city. Thank you ❤
When you go to Japan, there are still some old fashioned coffee places which serve something called a "morning set." It is a very thick piece of toasted bread with butter, a hard boiled egg, a small salad, and a cup of coffee. Pain de Mie in Paris makes this bread. It is great and kudos to Colleen and Antoine for finding it.
You might explain that the salty crepes (savoury) are made with buckwheat flour, not white flour, and are not called crepes but "gallettes", and not everyone can do those well (thin like lace and crispy expecially around the edges), but Breizh does them very well. Several little crepe restaurants around Paris. Cheers! You came back to France none too soon, plenty to learn. Life is rich.
My wife & I spent 6 days in Paris in July and it we had a great time. Per your advice we bought a ten pack of Metro tickets each which we used extensively. So easy to get around using the Metro once you get the hang of it. One thing we did to see most of the sights was to do everything early in order to avoid the crowds. We heard mass at Sacre Ceour on a Sunday and there was barely anyone there. We went back around noon and there was wall to wall people. We just turned around. Also my wife nearly got pickpocketed on the John Wick steps but fortunately she noticed the hand in her tote bag and smacked it away and she told the two young men that she was calling the police and they ran away. Exciting! Aside from seeing the Louvre & Mont St. Michel, we took your advice & had a picnic on the gardens behind the Eiffel Tower. Amazing! Our foodie discoveries were Les Marmottes (Raclette was so good), Cul de Cochon, Thomas Artisan Fromagerie (Comte), (Pralus Patisserie (macaroons)Carré Pan de Mie (Croque Monsieur) just to name a few. We also treated ourselves for our anniversary dinner at Café de l’Homme at Trocadero with a view of Eiffel Tower sparkling. We saw swing dancing in Place Collette and of course the pastries were out of this world. One thing we experienced was the locals & waiters were very kind and helpful. One early morning when we we were looking for a Boulangerie, there was this old lady who did not speak a lick of English accompanied us to one. Amazing! Again thank you for all your videos which are very helpful. When we return, Paris will even be more exciting! Thank you again. ❤
Hi Loise! Love your vid! I’m loving that Astonish secret garden too it smells gorgeous! My 16 year old son was watching you too and said I need to tell you that you should do stand up comedy! 😂❤
Awesome video again! I was surprised to see a Schwartz's Deli in Paris. We have one here in Montreal on Boul. Saint-Laurent, but ours serves Montreal style smoked meat. Great...now I'm in the mood for one...😁
Well, that would be amazing. It used to be so easy as I live in Ashford, Kent where we have the Eurostar International Station. Unfortunately no Eurostar trains stop there anymore which is hugely unfair! 😭

Thank you 💖

You two make exploring Paris so much fun! Can't wait to visit! Thank you:)
I'll be there in June 2024. I must memorize all your videos!!!!
Great video! merci :)
Because of you, my birthday in Paris the end of April, was absolutely amazing.
Thanks you two.
Mine too, February- I hope! 🤞
Well, that would be amazing. It used to be so easy as I live in Ashford, Kent where we have the Eurostar International Station. Unfortunately no Eurostar trains stop there anymore which is hugely unfair! 😭
